Greek salad and an original Gyro.
    Kirk H.

I love gyros, I've had them all over the state. There's a really good one at a place up in Peoria, but none of them compared to George's. The texture and flavor of the meat, the high-quality ingredients, etc.. as well as reasonably priced. And comes with Greek salad or fries, I always go out of my way to come to this place .

Fantastic spot for gyros, pastas, and salads! Super super fresh food, extremely reasonable prices, and warm and hospitable service. 10/10. Delicious. No website and the yelp menu pictures weren't great, so uploading menu here in clearer format for future customers.

I can't believe I've never been here before! The food is absolutely amazing. I got the Gyro Picado and it was phenomenal. The tzatziki might be the best I've ever had, and the salad on the side was a great portion and tasted delicious too. The gyro itself had SO much meat in it; I was very pleased. I have to say, when I opened up my Greek fries, I was a little disappointed to see that the sauce was vinegar based and I was expecting a creamy lemon sauce, but when I tried them, I was not disappointed anymore. So. Dang. Good. For the gyro, side salad and Greek fries, I spent just over $15 - a great deal nowadays. The place itself was cute too. You can tell it's been around for a while, but it was cozy. Nice little bar inside and a TV to watch sports on the other side and a cute little patio outside too. I will definitely be making regular visits here.

I've driven by here several times and finally decided to drop in. The restaurant is small and possibly decorated, but clean. The staff was very friendly. I ordered a gyro with fries. This was one of the best gyros I've had in awhile. I'm glad i stopped by and will do so again.

We have been coming to George's for years. It's in an old convenience store, and there's nothing fancy about this place. There is a small bar, but I've never actually seen anybody ordering anything from it or anyone manning the bar. Perhaps You have to ask? I've had many things here, but I almost always go back to the Greek salad with gyro meat. They're great dressing is really delicious and it's a very large salad. Of course their gyro pitas are also delicious and they are served with those kind of fat fries, smaller than steak fries and bigger than McDonald's fries. I've also had the spaghetti and meatballs - - I'm a sucker for meatballs of any kind and I like these ones, as well as the really good garlic bread. My son has had the burger, which I've tried. If I were in the mood for a burger this wouldn't be the place I'd come, but it was absolutely fine. Tip: be prepared for a crowd certain times and days. Georges is located very close to Mesa City Plaza, Mesa Police Department headquarters and the central station, along with a lot of other businesses. At noon during the week (Monday through Thursday) there can be a long line and sometimes it's difficult to find a table.

Amazing Gyros here. They claim the best in Arizona and they may have a few other States beat. Simple Greek food with some American options. Gyro and fries for me.

My colleague wanted to eat here, he really talked this place up. I got a chicken platter, it comes with a decent size salad, he got the gyro platter. We both got rice instead of fries. And I got baklava with pistachio. So I would have given 3 stars but I did watch the owner de-escalate an unfortunate situation, very professionally, so I'll say 4. To be honest, the food was sort of "meh". It was very bland, lacked flavor. I thought it was just me, but my colleague said the same thing. I was told it's normally not like this, so maybe they were having an off day.... The baklava wasn't too sweet either, actually wasn't sweet at all. The side salad was a decent size, I was expecting a really small bowl, so that's nice. I probably won't try it again, I need flavor in my food. But again, maybe it was just an off day for them. Mad respect though to the owner, saw someone come in trying to pull the sexist/race card and the owner just calmly explained why he was asking questions a certain way and all was defused!

And then imagine finding out that said location is INSIDE an incredible brewery. Baby... when I tell you I almost ascended. Hello? Excuse me? Did the pizza and beer gods personally hear my dramatic little prayers? Did they not only bless us with this heavenly combo, but ALSO decide to rotate different pizza specials every single week just to keep me emotionally unstable? Because THEY. DID. I genuinely cannot stop talking about this place. At this point my friends are one more pizza rant away from blocking my number, but I refuse to apologize. Every single time I go, I convince myself this is my favorite pizza... and then next week they drop another masterpiece and suddenly I'm questioning everything I thought I knew about myself. What makes this place so ridiculously good is that they are fearless. They're out here using sauces as bases that other pizza places would clutch their pearls over. Ingredients that sound chaotic on paper somehow turn into the most beautiful, life-altering bite you've ever had. It's giving culinary drag performance. Bold. Unexpected. A little dramatic. Perfect execution. And the brewery vibe? Elite. The energy is fun, relaxed, a little loud in the best way, and honestly the perfect setting to destroy an entire pizza while pretending you'll "just have one slice." Lies. All lies. The beer pairings somehow make every flavor pop even more, which feels scientifically unfair. Also can we normalize restaurants understanding that pizza should be FUN? Because this place gets it. They're creative without being pretentious, experimental without losing quality, and somehow every pie still feels comforting and familiar while also making you gasp like you just heard fresh gossip. At this point I don't even ask what the special is anymore. I just trust them blindly like a toxic relationship, except this one actually delivers happiness. 10/10. Life-changing. Emotionally supportive pizza.

Located on the main drag of downtown Mesa you can eat inside or on the patio. There aren't servers, instead, you order at the front desk. The menu has a variety of options, mostly pizza (both classics and signature pies). There is also a bar area where you can grab a pint or two of local brews The interior was electric with people enjoying pizza, locations, watching the Olympics, and just unwinding for the day. We ordered a salad and a couple of pizzas. The salad came out first, and the pizzas weren't far behind Being a self-proclaimed pizza snob, the pizza was fine. It wasn't overly flavorful, and it didn't blow me away, but it also didn't disappoint. The salad was LOADED with toppings, and I was somewhat impressed there. Unfortunately, polling the group, the beer was slightly lackluster. But again, this spot is a fun vibe and is great if you want to hang out for a bit and enjoy a brewery/pizza parlor type atmosphere Some tips: When you're done with your drinks and meal consider walking down the Main Street and stopping by one of their many bars, museums, and other eateries There isn't a lot of parking off the main drag, but we were fortunate enough to find parking on a few different occasions Cheers!

Food: hefty breakfast sandwich w/ sausage, cream ala creme (biscuit & fruit), BHH French toast w/ bacon. The sammy was made w/ three eggs so it was a large sammy, kinda messy. I think they need to spread out the eggs a bit more so they cover more space & don't slip out from between the bun as easily. The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. The French toast was also a hefty serving, especially w/ the bacon tacked on. The bacon came out at the exact crispness for the best melt in your mouth bite, and they were huge pieces. The hashbrowns were good, nothing fancy though. Eggs cooked perfect (over easy for me). I also got the mocha iced latte and it was very chocolate forward, not much coffee flavor, but still tasty. My only complaint, and I mean ONLY complaint, is that price point. I spent $25 for the biscuits and gravy with a coffee and left hungry. I think had they given me two biscuits instead of just one, maybe that would fix everything.
