This hole in the wall Korean (Japanese) teriyaki grill place is fantastic! The portions and nice and big and the meat is so well cut and cooked. It is fresh and all three sauces (two spicy sauces and one teriyaki sauce) are absolutely delicious. The people were very kind and the food was just... perfect. I had the Genki Bowl, which includes 2 meats, rice, and veggies, for only $7.80! Where the hell else in Orange County can you get a good, healthy meal for that price?! I chose the spicy pork and the beef, which are cooked Korean BBQ-style and it was delicious. Also, there was no uncharge for brown rice. Just a great, enjoyable meal all the way around. I work nearby, never in my life have I been to amore consistent and affordable lunch spot. You can specialize your bowls, I usually get no rice only broccoli and a choicer of protein. You can opt for no sauce (sugar) on the meat before they grill it. Best lunch I have ever had for around 10 bucks. If you're non-Korean, it's just marinated meat flavor where, if you never grew up on the Korean taste, you're unable to discern any difference, and I get it - marinated meat is generally yummy meat and you can't really go wrong. But don't come here expecting KBBQ flavor you expect from any decent place anywhere else in OC, esp if you're Korean or claim to understand good taste. read more

Delicious and fast service! Located in an area filled with lots of small businesses - it's no wonder this place was busy on a Tuesday afternoon. Our team came here and we all ordered the bowls. It was reasonably priced and the bowls were filled to the brim with the meats. If you get the Genki bowl it's basically 2 meats, rice and veggies. I chose tofu and beef, next time I'll go for the beer and chicken. Everything was great and we will definitely be back!! Recommend it over Waba grill or Flame Broiler. read more

The staff are working quickly on super fresh, tasty bowls and plates -- I got the beef (bulgogi) and pork (dweji bulgogi) bowl over veggies only, no rice, and a side of kimchi. When the city of Orange presents an eating spot that's not a chain and it's bomb; I start doing head spins to the beats of sizzlinGOOD meats & rice. It's simple. Walk in, get greeted, turn your head to the left wall and customize your own bowls or plates. Yes, just like Flame Broiler or Waba Grill (sort of) or those other not-so-famous teriyaki establishments - EXCEPT - the meats here have that Korean BBQ twist/flair!! They have mini bowls, bowls or plates. If it all seems too familiar, it is, because you order food the same way at the places I mentioned in paragraph 2. The only difference is the meats are so-dang-delicious, I needed restraining from my bowl! I mean, I wasn't even that hungry, but this bowl lead me to believe I was starving. Exaggerating? Maybe...It's very, very good to me. I had a 1/2 spicy pork & 1/2 chicken + brown rice w/ green onions bowl. KILLER! Chicken was super tender and the spicy pork kicked my butt and won! Not to mention the brown rice was the best I'd had in awhile, moist, sticky and not dry. Husband dug it too. He had the short rib plate and a mini bowl of spicy pork. All great to him. Fountain drinks with free refills too or you can buy bottled or canned ones. Place wasn't busy, then again it was a little after 3pm on a weekday. Food was made within 10 mins and satisfied just as most Yelp reviews foretold. This being down the street from my job now, I'll be here often. Good stuff! read more

This place has really good chicken bowls! I tried the short ribs, spicy pork, and chicken and chicken was my favorite. The short ribs here aren't very tender, they are quite chewy and hard to eat. The spicy pork tastes like the korean hot pepper paste and wasn't very special. I know the chicken in the chicken bowl isn't really seasoned much or has sauce for it, but for some reason, it has a very clean healthy taste to it. I think next time, I'd call in and make an order because it does take quite some time.
