It has all my favorite things in one bite - salmon, truffle, and REAL crab, not that imitation stuff. The presentation is also beautiful. The roll is placed on a nice green leaf, set on a bed of tiny branches, in a bowl filled with ice, garnished with tiny sprouts. It was also very filling. This is probably my new favorite thing! Heemo is one of my favorite sushi spots in Orange, and they have multiple locations! I love dining in or taking my food to-go, and their food is always fresh, delicious and consistently good. I always get their salmon sushi, seared with Cajun pepper, and their udon combo. The rice-to-salmon ratio is perfect, and the Cajun pepper on the seared salmon adds the perfect amount of flavor. When I'm craving both noodles and sushi, I'll get the udon combo with a spicy tuna roll. The spicy tuna is always fresh and has just the right amount of heat. Heemo is consistently delicious, fresh and quick, with plenty of indoor seating and a super clean dining area. The staff is always friendly and attentive whenever I dine in, which makes the experience even better. Been coming here for a while with my wife, best bang for your buck. Sushi rolls are big, and they're pretty affordable, I also really love their spicy pork dish, sometimes if you're lucky, they will give you a baked salmon shoulder on the house and it's delicious!!! Caliente is my daughter's absolute favorite. She will order this plate every single time we go. Sunkist ($16) Double Albacore ($16) Popcorn crawfish ($8). The waitresses came to our table to give the bday girl a build in lighted paper flower crown to wear on her head while clapping & singing a birthday song. We ordered their sashimi platter, couple rolls, and small plates. Hubbie wanted their ramen as well. As the dishes came out, I started thinking we ordered too much. But by the end, we finished almost everything LOL. That's how much we enjoyed their dinner. Their sashimis are great, very generous in size and tastes buttery. I don't normally enjoy rolls, but their rolls were very good. Their fried dishes are SO good. Tonkatsu was a favorite by us all. Highly recommend their salmon collar as well. Service was spectacular. This is the most unassuming hidden gem! Needed some late night food (around 9) so a friend took me to Heemo for the first time - they were open until 11 which I love as a late eater. Wait time was only 15 minutes and everyone was so friendly. Quick service with drinks and food - and a huge variety to order from. We got the DHK, Tustin, Ninja, and So Hot and each of them were seriously melt in your mouth good. The Tustin was surprisingly fresh and light. The salmon was spectacular! For $18 I received miso soup, salad, a good size salmon and avocado roll, and four pieces of various sushi. Delicious! And I want to give a big shout out to our servers, John and Taika.
