My family and I were in town for a family trip and decided to eat here for Father's Day. I made a reservation on Open Table months in advance, and I had the highest expectations. A beautiful view and brunch on the beach? On an important day like this in honor of my partner? Where can you go wrong?! Well, safe to say, we were extremely disappointed. From the service to the food, it just was not worth it. Our server was very inattentive. He was more interactive with the bar, than anywhere else. We didn't place our orders until 45 minutes after being seated! The restaurant no longer sold lobster rolls, but for some reason, the item was still on the menu. We ordered the lomo saltado, the patron flight, the shrimp ceviche, and the blacked salmon sandwich. Nothing was a stand out. I really feel like it was a waste of money. To top things off, the hostess never marked me in attendance for my reservation, resulting in a back and forth with Open Table. Don't recommend this establishment in the slightest. read more

This place is near my home and I come often. Left side is the cafe and empanada window, right side is the bar and restaurant. I love how accessible this place is. Sometimes I grab a tea or smoothie after I walk the beach and I've come here several times with friends and family for brunch, lunch or dinner. I've experienced the DJ once and it was a nice touch. I've visited this place when they had QR code ordering from your table and now they have wait service. Food is always good and I've even ordered online here. I've tried all of the fish options, salad, waffle at brunch, various cocktails and wines, teas, smoothies, and my friends tried the burgers, sandwiches and short ribs and other dishes... everyone has been satisfied with no complaints. Being right on the beach is such a treat and when folks are visiting and want beach vibes but also want to eat or drink. I always bring them here and they love it. However, being right on the beach in this area also means that depending on the time of day, don't expect quiet or intimacy lol. Especially in the warmer months. People are here with families, tourist groups, pets, special events in town... it's busy and there's a little bit of everyone around. So understand that this is not and exclusive Malibu-like experience. Everyone is welcome and this is a fairly casual dining experience. With that said, though things have shifted over time and I do think they could be on top of cleaning a bit better when it is busy (ie. bathroom supply refill, cleaning empty tables so new customers can sit) I'll always support. I came here for the Mexico vs England game today and waited in line for about 2-3 hours which was okay knowing they were going to have people leave and let us in. When we finally got sat we got a perfect seat that seemed to fit 4 people & it was nice to get sat in the shade after standing in the sun for 2 hours. However, one of the waitresses let us know that because our party was only 2 people, they had to move us to a smaller table (completely understandable when it comes to how busy it was) however, when we got to our seats not only was it on the side of the screen not allowing us to fully watch the tv without falling out of our seats, it was the only seats where the sun was hitting directly the entire time. We asked 2 people if we were able to move or get another seat ( there was a man who was wearing a number 11 Jersey who I assumed was the manager by the way he was seating certain people) who completely ignored us when we asked for another seat/table, we expected him to come back and let us know but he never did and continued to go around the restaurant. I totally understand it was busy but we asked politely if we could pull up another table with two seats since we were waiting for a while but we were dismissed multiple times. What made us upset was the fact that we were told they needed the larger tables for bigger parties but there were smaller groups in larger tables that were getting sat after us (they even moved a table to the center of the screen for 2 other girls who came way after us) and there was a group of 2 people who got sat in a booth right in front of the screen that could have easily sat 6 people. As I mentioned the man wearing the number 11 jersey is what I assume to be the manager but he was only going back and forth between 3 tables from what we were able to see and only tending to them, I believe they were friends/ family. Our waitress who I did not get the name of was super sweet and kept checking on us multiple times (I didn't get her name but she had orange hair). I'm not one to leave bad reviews but the whole situation was a little upsetting, I wish there was more communication and being upfront with us instead of just ignoring us completely and tending to others :( read more

Very cute atmosphere! We ordered the mimosa flight and we all agreed that the cucumber mimosa was the best! We literally downed it, it was refreshing. We ordered the salmon, paella, and fish chips; they all came out so good. Our server was so kind, we forgot our IDs at home and she was kind enough to put our orders in and let us come back just in time for the food to be done. On top of that, the view is beautiful! Horrible service. Our waiter asked if we were ready to order drinks then took 30 minutes to bring them to the table. Then we told another waiter that we haven't ordered and that our waiter had gone to a different section. It took them 30 more minutes to bring out a cold steak. The steak was an absolute joke. It was like 3 bites. There were no forks or napkins at the table so we had to ask them. Very horrible service. We weren't trying to give the waiter a hard time but we honestly had to speak up on the food being cold. This is just for going to takeout window for coffee. Two people were in front of me on line and both ordered coffee & muffin though it took close to 15 minutes. I ordered a drip coffee which was only $5, yes, I'm being facetious as that's a bit pricey for a place like this, though it didn't take long to get the coffee I noticed when I walked up the block and took a sip. It was warm instead of hot. I returned to tell the girl at the window this and she appeared to be a deer caught in the headlights as she didn't know what to do so I asked if she could put more coffee in the cup and with that she made an Americano, which was quite different.
