Called ahead about an hour before about purchasing a new game and asked to put it on hold they said it would be held for 24 hours so I head there which is about a 35 min drive and upon arrival they sold the copy that was on apparent held status for me. They proceeded to tell me holds are superseded by in store purchases which doesn't make any sense for a hold as I have always been able to hold games just fine. Have to shout out Timothy, the manager here. My wife and I welcomed a baby girl this week, which, despite being joyful, has left my five year old son feeling a little neglected. My son is a big Ninjago fan, and the gamestop website said there was one used copy left of the Lego Ninjago game at this location. I called the store and got Timothy, and asked if he would be willing to make my kid feel a little special. Being a stand up dude, he agreed. So I drove the kid down and told him that there are a lot of games at the store, so we would ask the expert what game he thought would be the best for him. We find Tim at the counter, I talk up that he looks like he's good at choosing games for little boys, and Timothy plays it up, asking my son a few questions before pulling the game out with a flourish and basically saying that my son looks like a guy that would really enjoy playing Lego Ninjago. My kid has rarely felt so special. He reported on the drive home that he's not just excited, but "Awesome-level excited!" Thanks to Tim for going out of his way to brighten the whole week for a great kid who was feeling a little bummed out. read more

While I was telling her why I was there she rudely said to come back in 30 mins because she was the only person at the cashier and had a line. I understand if she is busy but I did see four other employees out on the floor. How come she was the only one at register? Also, IM A FIRM BELIEVER IN "it's not what you say but HOW you say it. I go in here when my husband and I goes shopping at Stoneridge (he sits down and waits for me gotta love him :) ) This location is for the most part better than some I've been to. They have the typical selection of games you would expect from a Gamestop and they also have collecables and even Bandai Gashpon vending machines (Buy a token for $2.99) The store is kinda small and some areas are narrow. I can only imagine how one would get frustrated at times such as Black Friday if it gets really packed inside. The one thing I disliked when going in there today, I walked into the store and nobody made eye contact with me and I had the open the conversation and said hows it going. They were not that busy in there so I don't know. Had looked for a XBOX Controller, I specifically said Wired Controller for XBOX 360 and they had told me they had Wireless Controllers only used. They had XBOX Licensed controllers for $17.99 in there, I would have wanted one but felt the sales associate did not listen to me, really did not want to pay $19.99 for a new wired controller at the time so I left without anything. With all these reports of Gamestop stores closing you would think that the employees who are left with their jobs would do everything to possibly get business going in the right directions and get their customers to buy... This store.. Well the way I was not greeted and felt like they did not care, I don't know. 3 out of 5 due to the fact the store did seem clean and organized and did have decent selection, minus 2 for the no - greet issue, and for lack of detail to my question about an XBOX Controller. read more

Came here to buy the Lego NinjaGo battle game for Nintendo for my son. The staff right away asked me if i need anything in particular that they can help me with. Plus points right away. Michael is very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a very pleasant experience coming in this particular store. Probably because of the attitude of the staff towards work. The store does not know how to operate during Covid. They are not customer focused. They are untrained and very unreasonable. I went there with my son. I will never go back. They make people wait for no reason because they have a kid who doesn't care at all monitorimg the door. Unfortunately, it was a bad experience. It is better to buy these things online, and there are better deals anyways online. I wouldn't waste my time again going to the store and getting treated poorly. Everytime I'm in here buying MTG the staff is awesome! Yesturday I had the pleasure to be helped out by the store manager Alex! Alex was very chill, knowledgeable, and helpful. I've also been helped/chatted with his assistant manager and she even gave me a solid lead on a product when they were sold out on it. These kids get it and this is the kind of assistance I expect when blowing my hard earned cash. Dont change a thing guys! Gamestop is a large chain of game stores usually found in shopping malls. like this one, found in the Stoneridge Mall near where I-680 and I-580 intersect. This store is pretty small, and gets crowded, so service can be a bit of a wait. I got a brand new Ninetendo Wii for my favorite relative. Virtually all stores charge the same price, $249. They had it in stock. I also got the Guitar Hero Rock band, which works with the Wii and costs another $99.99. (you can have the entire band, including singer mic, drums,, etc for more). Oddly, the Guitar Hero is being played by mostly todays tweens or teens, but the songs are from their parents era mostly, like "Livin on a Prayer" and "Eye of the Tiger". There are a couple of songs from this millenium, like from Linkin Park . Gamestop has a great selection of games, for Sony Playstation, X-Box and Wii. The folks here are always friendly and since my guy loves video games, I often have questions. Today was my very first time making a pit stop at this Game Stop location and I had a really good shopping experience. If anyone is into playing Neopets, Petpetpark, Shockwave, Monkey Quest and I think one other site, the $25.00 Nickolodean cash cards are on sale for $20.00 now through December 26th. So, you get $5.00 off every $25 cash card you buy. What a great deal!! my son came in trying to make a kind purchases which he did, he was staring at the item i wanted to purchase and a female employee was disrespectful, she said "this is your last purchase" my son was polite and asked "why" which she responded " you killing my member numbers and you were disrespectful, it's disrespectful to stare at people" which my son wasn't staring at anybody but a merchandise. read more

Paul was especially helpful! He has a wonderful friendly manner that he deals with customers with. I came to pickup a game and their computers were down for over 2 hours. I called later in the evening and Paul answered the phone and informed me that they were back up and I could come back to pickup the game. I tried to return a PC game I had bought online at gamestop.com to this retail location. The game was unopened and accompanied by its original packing slip. The ignorant girl working here said I needed an invoice. Well, the package did not contain one, nor can I print one out on the inept website. Per Gamestop.com: "Store: Items may be returned by taking them to a GameStop store location in the United States. Items returned to a GameStop store location must be accompanied by the original packing list. Store return policies may vary and are subject to manager approval." nothing in there about an 'invoice.' This mall used to have 2 Gamestops, this one and the much larger one that used to be Babbages before Gamestop went on their Pac-Man spree of absorbing all their competitors....Funcoland, Babbages, Software Etc., EB Games, Waldensoftware...I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two. Apparently once the leases expire they close the extra store, which makes sense, but if you're going to do that why not keep the BIGGER store that can accomidate the combined customer base of 2 stores and not feel cramped. Seriously I had a hard time trying to find anything because the aisles are too small to see the product with so many people in the way. It feels claustrophobic. read more

They have large selection of used games too. You can trade in your game console or games for cash or credit. read more
