I tried to order from you several times. You have canceled each one of my orders for no reason. I won't try again, very disappointed.

These people never answer the phone! You'd think they'd be more tech savvy and have better customer service

Besides the free comic book, the owner has booked a Smash Bros truck, a smashed burgers truck. We tried it, and the burgers were good!! A bit pricey ( 1$ extra for one slice of tomato and 1$ extra for some shredded lettuce ) but they were good! And somebody was selling coffee too. We sat in the car to enjoy our lunch, then went back to the store for more bargains. The bookstore has some outside vendors too. I bought a drawn book for my granddaughter, and they were some lovely bookmarks too. I bought some 3D printed Pokemon toys last year, but I was disappointed that vendor didn't come back. I have not seen many back issues with the exception of wall comics. They have a pretty large area of clearance $1 comics on the left side of the store which seem to be 2-3 years old books. I like that these $1 boxes are on tables and my back appreciates that they are easy to sort through. They also have an inventory of collected editions which includes trade paperbacks, hardcovers, omnibus, and compendiums. The owner Kerry has tried to help me find some obscure current comic books a couple times which I appreciate. The staff have all been helpful and easy to work with. I believe they do a significant amount of business in trading card/game card these days, but still have a respectable comic offering.

The reason for the 2 star review is because the prices in their store seemed a bit much especially with the trading cards they have in stock. Also, I feel like the cards should be placed either by the front desk or behind it because as we were looking at the cards, the employee made me feel like she was watching us like a hawk. There were also other customers there, but it seemed she kept her eyes on us for some odd reason. I thought it was just me being paranoid, but after we left the store, I told my wife about it and she felt the same way but just didn't care. Despite the way that employee made us feel, we still bought stuff from that store. The employee was nice though when we interacted with her as she rang us up for the items we purchased. It just sucks to feel that way from an employee in a store while you are shopping like you are being singled out and judged. Not even sure what we did to receive that kind of treatment. We definitely won't be going there again.

Usually, when this customary…read moregreeting and query is conveyed, the forced inflection is obvious, leaving one to wonder why, if unhappy with their employ, they remain in it; this however, was not the case with Brandon, who, I sensed, really enjoyed meeting people irrespective of common interests and showcasing his considerable knowledge and understanding of the patterns in pricing and the driving mechanism behind the sales value of sports cards. I went there to sell some baseball cards and walked out of there edified -- I got schooled instead. But I could not be happier about it, for the process by which I, and apparently many others, gage the value of our cards, coins or what have you, is faulty and can lead to frustration and disappointment because you believe that, unlike others with the same items, you are not getting the supposed value of your precious items. Not only did Brandon take the time to explain the process by which we dupe ourselves into thinking we have that special card and will amass quite the premium for it, but demonstrated the process for me in real time. What he showed me was precisely what I did, and was doing, in assessing the worth of my saleable items. I walked out of his pretty snappy business educated and less frustrated. It made sense, and I can now approach my vocation with a different methodology in assessing the value and expected sale price of my coveted coins, ect. I am grateful for Brandon and his store, for at 60 years old, I got schooled. The store itself was stocked with the kind of things gamers fantasize about, and while there, the customers kept coming. This business is obviously doing things the correct way and the store's popularity is testimonial of that. For my part, I always lean toward doing business with the genuine proprietor, even if it means going out of my way a bit to give them my business. I recommend this store for the products available as well as for the pleasant people there operating it. There is parking along the street and room for several cars without having to walk a distance.

There was only one employee working there, and I believe the person's name was Austin according to the receipt I got from him. I would have to say, after the transaction was completed, that the customer service (not just for me, but what I witnessed when Austin interacted with other customers who came in after) was excellent. He had an amazing attitude, exceptional multitasking skills tending to me and others, very patient, communicative, etc. I haven't been to Gamestop in many years, but if I were to return it would definitely be at this location. thank you!

He truly went above and beyond, helping me find the games I was looking for and even cleaning the discs for me. Amazing service. What stood out even more was how kind and professional he was with a customer who came in right before me and seemed to be having a bad day. Ulysses handled the situation with patience, respect, and genuine care. The store has a great selection, lots of parking, and it's in a convenient location surrounded by restaurants and banks. Everything is priced very fairly and competitive with mainstream retailers, online platforms, and even other retro game shops. They do it all here: retro and new video games, consoles, trading cards, plushies, accessories, and more. I feel truly lucky to have found this spot. It's officially my new go-to for anything gaming-related, whether I need something ASAP, want to get a game disc resurfaced, or just want to pop in and see what's new. Their backroom looks like it's bursting with even more treasures and I'm excited to see how they grow over time. I wish San Francisco had more places like this because the city is really lacking when it comes to true video game stores. We don't even have a Gamestop anymore in the heart of the city. The closest video game store is in Stonestown, which can be very inconvenient to get to. They also have some awesome free-to-play arcade setups and welcome people to just hang out inside, which gives the place a really laid-back, community vibe. If you're looking for a specific game or system and they don't have it, they'll even take your number and give you a call once they track it down. Such a thoughtful touch. I especially love their preowned deals like the buy two, get one free promo for games priced $11.99 or less. I can't wait to come back for my next haul.
