Besides the free comic book, the owner has booked a Smash Bros truck, a smashed burgers truck. We tried it, and the burgers were good!! A bit pricey ( 1$ extra for one slice of tomato and 1$ extra for some shredded lettuce ) but they were good! And somebody was selling coffee too. We sat in the car to enjoy our lunch, then went back to the store for more bargains. The bookstore has some outside vendors too. The people who work here are so knowledgeable about books and scan always recommend the perfect novel or nonfiction based on a description of your preferences. It reminds me of the days when there were neighborhood video rental shops before Blockbuster and Netflix. You could walk in and describe what you were in the mood for, and they would find you the perfect film. Towne Center is this for books!! And they gift wrap for free!!! Why go anywhere else!?! There's a center display right inside the front door with staff selections and new books. What they don't have in volume, they make up with a curated selection, and nice little tags with book descriptions. Bob was an older gentleman who worked here until he recently passed. He also sometimes worked in the Livermore store. Like many men, I got a lot of books here based on his recommendations for history. After chatting with me just a couple times, he recognized me when I came in the store, and steered me towards something I could not resist. I'll miss him very much. We were lucky and got a table, so we sat there a little while drinking our drink and discussed a couple of books. Then we went back to the store and shopped around a little. There is so much to see in this store. She found 2 books that she wanted to get, The Orient Express by Agatha Christy (I haven't read the book, but love the movie) and another book, but in the end they settled on getting a game for my parents. The box looked intriguing, but when we opened the box at my parents house it turned out to be a complicated game. We'll have to study the directions and play it another time. We were tired by the time we made it to their house. I found a great book too. It was the unofficial guide to Disney World 2025. They have a new one that comes out in August 2025 for the 25-2026 year, so this one should be on sale soon. I was going to get it, but decided it wait to ensure we're really going to Disneyworld first. I don't want to do all this planning if we aren't going. The book is as thick as a dictionary. Apparently, there is a lot you need to know before you go. I'm excited for our trip and a bit overwhelmed. I look forward to our next trip to Barnes and Noble and finding more books and treasures. They also have a toy and gift section.

The games were durable and held up for the event. Even though we were stalled on booking our games (due to the Venue needed to help with the layout), Luiza was still openly optimistic about helping us and in the end we got all the games we wanted. We opted for Ring Toss, Giant Checkers and Clowning Around (Bean Bag Target type of game - see photo). Except for the Giant Checkers, the prices are fairly reasonable. Please note that someone else may think that the price was reasonable...it's all subjective. Here's What I Think.... They have a ton of games from which to choose. If you're in the market for arcade/carnival type games, please give them a try.
