BBQ Chicken Pie (4 Square Cheese)
Belinda T.

Ordered a couple of pizzas and some cheese sticks for an easy dinner after work and was pleasantly surprised since it was my first time trying Fuji & Vi's. I loved the BBQ chicken pizza a lot, it had great flavor, but I'm a weirdo that doesn't love a lot of sauce on pizza and the default here is a bit too much for me. The crust has a great crisp and the pizzas are cooked well. I'm glad they added cheese sticks to the lineup although this was a while ago and they only had the basic with Italian seasoning--menu says they have specialty ones now and I'ma have to try those out. It's located upstairs above Hummus Labs on Colorado, nice and convenient location!

Another good time here. I'm a big fan of Detroit style pizza and this place did not disappoint. The player deluxe is always on point. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Hawaiian version. If you look at it, it didn't really look all the way ready. The ingredients needed just a little more sizzle. There wasn't much space inside. While we waited, there was no one inside and many people making deliveries. Then there was a surge. We ended up going. Service is nice. Lady is friendly.

Really amazing food! This is located upstairs at the corner of Colorado and Mentor, in what I like to call the restaurant corner (seriously, there are a ton of small Mom and Pop restaurants in that corner that you all should go check out!). So, I was impressed by the reviews and wanted something different to eat. It was my first time there and the employee behind the counter was just so nice and patient as he explained everything! I ended up getting the 4-slice pepperoni and a small Greek salad. Now, listen...their 'small' salad is rather big! Like it can easily feed 2-3 people. And the pizza 4-slice can easily feed 2-3. So you need to be aware of that. There was a little wait but everything came out amazing! The pizza was prepared just right and the salad was so delicious! I would literally go back for the salad alone. Now they're located upstairs so wheelchair accessibility might be an issue, but it is so worth it! You won't be disappointed!

BBQ Chicken Pie (4 Square Cheese) Double Pepperoni (4 Square Cheese)

(Would give 3.5 stars!) Tried this place because I am on the hunt for good Detroit style pizza! The BBQ chicken pizza was good, I loved the sauce but the chicken was a little dry. The double pepperoni pizza was also good, but I wish it was cooked more in the middle. Overall, solid spot. The best part is for sure the cheesy edges of the pizza. & they do have a good deal Tu/Wed/Thurs BOGO 50% for 4 square pizzas!

Half cheese and half Margherita

We went on a Sunday afternoon and service was prompt and friendly. They were able to do half half for us since we have kids who like just plain cheese. The employee also gave us great recommendations since it was our first time. The store is clean and bright and airy. Since it overlooks the street, the kids could watch the cars driving by from our seat by the window. The Greek salad was delicious and a great flavor - definitely worth ordering. The pizza came out deliciously hot and crispy on the outside. Their Detroit style pizza is filling! Parking here is great with a ramp up to a rooftop parking lot and there were plenty of spaces.

Now this was a great pizza! I actually would make this a new staple pizza place because of how flavorful it was from the crust to the actual sauce and chicken. It really is just great Detroit style pizza in a little hole in the wall place!

The lady who took my owner is this sweet japanese lady. I think she owns the place. She's very nice. I've never had detroit style pizza... and I really enjoyed their pizza. The dough is soft inside with crunchy sides & bottom. I love how they did not skimp on the toppings. If you've never had detroit style pizza... this is a good place to try them

A heavy pizza ! But with flavor to match. These pizzas had a great cheese pull. A small shop so a little waiting can happen. The ladies are very gracious to help you get you out with what you need A great hidden gem if you're in the area.

This is the best pizza I've had in a long time. I love pizza so much to the point my hubby has to close my eyes when there is a commercial for pizza lol So when I say the cheese and sauce on this pizza is immaculate. They really took their time and perfected their craft, I'm super impressed and will definitely be ordering again. I ordered take out and it was still so hot and good. Next time I'm going in.

The Classic (4 Square Cheese)

Situated on the second floor of a small shopping center, Fuji & Vi's may look modest from the outside, and the interior is unassuming, but great things truly come in small packages. The Detroit-style pizza was absolutely delicious. My wife and I shared a small (4-square) pizza, and it was more than enough. The crust, cheese pull, texture--every bite hit every sensation of high-quality pizza. Each flavor was perfectly balanced and tasted incredibly fresh. I seriously can't wait to come back!

Margherita, biggio, double pepperoni, bbq chicken

Fantastic pizza spot in Pasadena and the only place I know around here serving Detroit-style. The pizzas come out fresh with those cheesy, crispy crust corner pieces that are easily the best part. Recently, we ordered a bunch for a company lunch and it was a huge hit. The double pepperoni was especially popular, but everything we tried was solid. If you're a pizza lover, this spot is a must!

My boyfriend loves pizzas and I specifically love Detroit style pizzas, so when I read about Fuji & Vi's I had bookmarked them. We finally went over the weekend. There is a parking structure right behind them with the entrance on Mentor Ave. Fuji & Vi's is located on the 2nd floor. It was hard to find them since the next door business had tables into the walk ways and we actually went downstairs and saw a sign telling us it was upstairs before we walked back up. The interior was tight with three tables inside. We ordered at the cashier and had every intention to enjoy our meal for here. So it took me a while to pick because none of their specialty pies combination stood out to me. My boyfriend pointed out how we can get the 4-square and just add the toppings we want. Mhmm the other issue is that their topping selection is limited. I didn't see many toppings I wanted. My boyfriend ordered the 4-Square ($13) and added Pepperoni ($1), Sausage ($1), Mushrooms ($1) and Black Olives ($1). I ordered the 4-Square ($13) and added Pepperoni ($1), Sausage ($1), Green Peppersons, ($1) and Roasted Garlic ($1). As we were waiting for our meal, we found that it was super hot and stuffy inside. It was too unbearable to stay here any longer. So we asked to get it togo instead. The only thing I liked was the edge piece so definitely get the 4-square over 8-square if you decide to go here. More edges. The primary issue is how the sauce it thrown on top.... my boyfriend mentioned he couldn't even taste his pepperoni. I picked mine apart to see the pepperoni underneath, making it soggy. I like my pepperoni crispy. Also the center of the pizza was just really soft and soggy. I just felt regretful for the calorie consumption after my meal. We felt like the pricing is reasonable for supporting a small business, but we can't justify coming back with all the inconveniences and lack of enjoyment.

Been a while since we've last ordered from Fuji & Vi's as we've been trying other pizzerias in LA. Saw on SGV eats that they were offering a 50% discount on the 2nd 4-square pizza. Decided to take advantage of this opportunity to try the santiglia. The crust was nice and crispy but remember it having a bit more flavor last time. Really enjoyed the balance of flavors with this combination. Only thing I'd change would be to add garlic. Solid Detroit pizza option that is close to home!

Double Pepperoni (8 Square Cheese) - highly recommend!

Ask the Community - Fuji & Vi's

I’m a bit disabled. Is there an elevator to the second level?

If you enter from the side street S. Mentor, there is a upper level parking lot. It does have a ramp which allows access to the second floor businesses.

Why is it called Fuji &Vi? Who is Fuji? Great pizza!

The owners named it after the wife's mother, Fuji, and the husband's grandmother, Violet.

Will Fuji & Vis have gluten free options available?

I didn't come across the option on the menu.

I tried the Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Margherita Pizza. My most candid thoughts: Margherita Pizza: This resembled more of a flat bread than a pizza. The sauce they used tasted like tomato pasta sauce from a jar and not necessarily pizza sauce. The dough tasted somewhat undercooked and thick, and the sauce and cheese did not stick well to the dough. Very bland in flavor. Huge portion though for the price. 5.5/10 Chicken Caesar Wrap: Very underwhelming as the chicken tasted dry and rough. I really liked the Spicy Caesar sauce though. It really spiced things up and added more flavors to the bland wrap. Portion was great and lettuce was fresh. I loved that they added avocados. However, it was definitely not the best Chicken Caesar wrap I've ever had and I would most definitely not be dying to order it again. 7/10 Parking is convenient as there is a free lot nearby. No seating inside as it's take out only.

It's the perfect shareable meal and worth every single penny. It's been a minute since I wrote a review, but these guys deserve the love. The photos I snapped don't do the chicken, salad, or any of the fixings justice, but trust me: if you're hunting for some of the best herb-roasted chicken in town, Kismet is a must-try. The name fits the vibe perfectly--meant to be. I'm picky about rotisserie/herb-roasted chicken and always benchmark against heavy hitters: Mi Piace's Prezzemolo (still my all-time favorite), the long-gone Lemon Herb Roasted Chicken from Cheesecake Factory's heyday, and more recently, Verde in Costa Mesa's killer Lemon & Sumac half chicken (easily top 3). Kismet's half chicken holds its own in that elite group. It's juicy, tender, and packed with bright Mediterranean flavor--a healthier, more refined take on the classic Zankou Chicken style I've loved forever. What pushes it over the edge for me is the quality: free-range, non-GMO, antibiotic-free, air-chilled, and raised right here in California. Bottom line: Kismet belongs on any serious "greatest herb-roasted chicken" list (at least mine). If you haven't tried it yet, go fix that. Highly recommend.

I had 2 other experiences prior to this where the chicken seemed off but I kept trusting it would be as good as it when I first had Kismet when it first opened back in March 2025. On May 7th, 2026 at 3:30 PM I ordered for pickup my usual meat and potatoes plate. Weirdly, the order was ready for pickup in a couple of minutes when usually it would be ready in 10 minutes which would have been less sketchy. I should have trusted my instincts. I walked in to pick up my order and there were zero customers around, usually there are a few customers eating at the tables. Sign that the quality has dwindled and the regulars aren't retuning. I get back home to treat myself (I spent $28 for the meal plus a drink.) Much to my dismay I opened the plate and was so disappointed. It was half of what normally comes in the box but the potatoes were stacked high and of course extremely oily. I was like ok let's just eat this because I don't have more time to find another place to get food plus I've already splurged. The chicken was undercooked and rubbery and came with no chicken breast like it normally does just some boney legs. Since I was so hungry and paid the extra money for "light" chicken I still ate it. I'm sick now, the night of May 8th I'm still on the toilet. Save your money and go to Zankou if you want good rotisserie chicken they've been doing it right in LA since the 80s. Or Costco; 5$ chicken unless you want a $32 dollar chicken here to make you and your family sick and poor.
