What a funny name for a restaurant, but the food here is really good. It was empty when we walked in on a Thursday, and it's a small little shop with maybe 4-5 tables. You order at the counter and then grab a seat. Everything was made fresh, and since we were the only customers, we got our food in about 10 minutes. Now for the food, I had these items: Mix Sandwich - I've never had a döner before, but it was really good. It kind of reminded me of a calzone or a double-sided pizza slice sandwich. The meat was fresh, loaded up with veggies, and nicely sauced. I really enjoyed it, and it was quite tasty. (4.5/5) Bratwurst - The sausage was delicious, and the bread was unique. Can't go wrong with this one. (4.5/5) I don't eat German food too often, but this was a nice, tasty, and quick spot. The prices were decent for what you get. It also wasn't too greasy or heavy, so if I'm in Pasadena and craving German food, I'd definitely come back. Awesome little mom-and-pop eatery next to my favorite dry cleaners. Parking is a pain though in this small lot, so you have been warned. The shop is pretty small, able to fit around a dozen people or so. Most take their items to go, but it's a perfectly fine and clean establishment to sit and enjoy your food while watching the chef assemble it inside their open kitchen. Ordered the following: - Mixed sandwich - 7.5/10: Big wrap that comes with chicken and beef shaved off from a couple of spits. Lots of fresh, crisp veggies stuffed inside a firm, crispy wrap that holds everything together pretty well. Taste was good, but I thought the meats could've been a little more seasoned. Love this place! My wife and I both got the beef and chicken mixed doner and we both liked it. The bread is thin and a bit crispy, the white sauce is nice and flavorful, and the sandwich is overall well balanced in terms of meat/veggies/bread. The food here is exceptional! There are a lot of other döner places in and around LA, but this truly is German style! I remember being in Frankfurt and having a döner and this is right up there! These guys have terrific signage visible from the intersection of Allen/Washington. It caught my attention going home from Stater Bros. I was hungry, so I found my way around a back alley and finally found that TINY parking lot and boy, was it worth it! I got greeted immediately upon entrance, BIG plus! I got the Braut combo with fries and soda. The "hot dog bun" if you can call it that, is from a circular bread specially baked for this type of use. They cut off a segment of the circle and that is your bun. They fill that with cabbage and/or veggies and your Braut on top. By God, all if that STAYS TOGETHER!! This bread makes it all possible. There is nothing worse than having to use a knife and fork at that OTHER biergarten that uses the Kings Hawaiian Bread for its bun. At Frankfurter Guys, finger food IS finger food! read more

I genuinely wanted to like this place. I really love Döner. Unfortunately this was the most bland version I've ever had. The chicken cuts themselves were good, but there was almost no seasoning or flavor at all. The sauce tasted basically like plain mayo with no herbs or punch, and the bread didn't have the fresh taste or texture I'm used to with proper Döner. For context, I've had Döner many times in Berlin and Munich, so I know how vibrant and flavorful it can be. This just missed the mark completely. I'm not asking for a refund or a call the people here were very nice, and this is not personal I simply hope management takes this feedback seriously. With better seasoning, sauce and flavor this could be so much better. read more

I live nearby, but it took me several months to finally visit because I wasn't quite sure what to expect and it seemed a little expensive. Glad I finally made it. I got the chicken doner sandwich and fries, both where delicious. The pictures don't do a good job conveying how big the sandwich is. That, along with the quality of ingredients and labor that went into making it justify the price. The fries were also a surprise -- normally crinkle cut fries are just kind of meh, but these were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and well-seasoned without being too salty. The portion was also generous. The person working was friendly and efficient, but very busy. I came a little before noon mid week and it looked like he was the only one there. That meant it took a bit to get my order, but it wasn't that bad. He also acknowledged and apologized for the wait, which goes a long way in my book. I'm from Frankfurt, so I used to eat döner kebabs all the time. I really loved that the meat actually tasted like what I had back in Germany. The only downside was that there wasn't enough yogurt sauce, but if you want a glimpse of authentic German döner, this is the place to go. read more

The sandwiches were delicious. They are a bit different than your traditional Middle Eastern shawerma but definitely worth it. The bread was so fresh n perfectly crunchy on the outside n soft on the inside. They have a delicious slaw inside and you can definitely taste the garlic in the best way possible. I'm picky about shawerma style meat but this was perfectly clean meat without tough fatty pieces that you can't chew and have to remove the way I do with other restaurants. You should try it. On a hot and humid day, I was reading a book outside to my kids while waiting for our laundry to be done at the nearby laundromat. A very nice gentleman from Frankfurter Guys saw us in the covered patio and brought us 3 bottles of ice cold water. That was very kind and much appreciated.
