After a very hot golf day (it was 90+ when we finished at Rancho Solano) the 12 of us decided to have dinner before traveling back to San Francisco. I was more thirsty than hungry so split an order of Korean Fried Chicken with hubby. I asked the person taking my order to recommend the wings he likes so I don't even know which one it was but It was 12 wings to an order and it was very good. It had a little spiciness to it. The other people in our group ordered different things but everyone enjoyed their order. You order at the counter. We received amazing service and all the orders looked like fresh ingredients and good quality. A lot of customers were there to pick up to go orders. The nice thing about this place is that it is just a short walk from the hotel we were staying at. As we approached the counter we were greeted by a very friendly man who took our order happily. The room is somewhat bare and the music was on just loud enough to be a bit bothersome to me. We took our order to go and it was a decent wait, not super long. I had the bibimbap. It filled the to go container very full, mostly with rice. The flavors were okay, too bland for my liking. If I did go back and I would make sure to ask for hot sauce of some sort. It had a lot of chicken, hardly any meat, and pickles vegetables squeezed on top of what was too much rice for me. I'm disappointed there wasn't more meat and that I wasn't ask if I wanted any spice. I was asked about the fried egg on top, which I wanted. It was an upcharge. My wife had the miso butter chicken. She reports it was plentiful, very flavorful, creamy and not dry,. It was a lot of chicken. She says she would go back and order it again. With her review we likely would go back for the convenient location, and I would ask for spice. Probably my first true update review. Looking back 7 years ago. I only reviewed based on how long it took and only one item I tried out of many without trying their main entree, the Chicken wings. From opening up in sketchy part of Vallejo to their current location, I'm sure they get more business. Located in a smaller plaza alongside another smaller plaza next to each other across from a Taco Bell, Starbucks and hotel, off the I-80 exit to get to scandia. Parking: Parking lots a small but you can also park along the curb, side or the other surrounding area. Dining: They have a big dining area to eat there. I've never actually dined in only because we take it to go. Wait time: Wait time for your order varies but just Friday night we ordered, and it only took 20 mins for 40 wings and 3 sides. Which was awesome. Ordering: We haven't tried calling to order only because we can order Via online which I'm sure is most preferred way. Entrees: - Wings We have tried majority of the wing flavors. I think our favorite flavors are the Original, Soy and Yangnuym. I Personally like the chillin chili wings but FYI they have a lingering spicy feel! heads up for those sensitive to spice! The other flavors we tried were good (double crunch - ramen noodle, & honey butter) but prefer the former. The chicken has been consistent size (medium). I believe they double fry (fact check?) because we have ordered early expecting it to be done at a later time. picked up in 30 mins after completion and ate 15-20 after and the chicken was still warm and crispy. Other Items: - Loaded fries We have tried both the bulgogi and spicy pork. Literally like a Korea version of the "carne asada fries" Love the touch of the kimchi. I'd would get as a meal itself or pair it as a side. - Fries The K-ajun Fries are our go-to! Love the Asian cajun taste. I do admit the fries are a bit salty. Drinks I've only had the "cool" craft lemonade, and it was good. it was refreshing to drink on a water day. Taste like blue raspberry but bit too sweet but I was still able to enjoy it. Verdict Overall, we love this restaurant! We have done take out multiple times. They have been consistent with the quality of the food, and we have yet to be disappointed. They have always been nice during pick up. There are a lot of great family-owned restaurants in this area, but this stands out because this is the only Korea restaurant in the area. I went to Frymazing for lunch today and it was delicious!! Restaurant is kind of tucked away in shopping complex and was not crowded on a Wednesday at lunch time. Easy ordering by computer or at the front. Restaurant itself is clean, updated. Good for families. Me and my husband got the jalapeno mayo, yang yum, honey butter and soy garlic. We got 2 box combos. First off, the texture- incredibly crispy, crunchy but at the same time very light. Incredible, because they were absolutely drenched in sauce. All the sauces were bomb but my favorites were the yangyum and the soy garlic. The yangum was sweet and tangy and slightly spicy with a vibrant red sauce. The soy garlic was seeet and garlicky and topped with a yummy pile of thinly shaved scallions. The honey butter and jalapeno mayo were also delicious and crunchy and fantastic. I am a big fan of the pickled radish here. Nice juicy refreshing chunks with bright pops of flavor that go really well the chicken. Tay is the owner and his mom and dad were there with him. Bulgogi Gimbap 3/5 The reason I am giving it 3 stars out of 5 is that 3 out of the 10 rolls I got were either just rice or had a tiny bit of ingredients inside of it. The other rolls looked fine but if I had to compare from the other yelper that posted a pic of their Gimbap(their photo was 3 days ago) in which showed that the gimbap they got was packed with ingredients, and my gimbap skimp on other ingredients & replace it with more rice. The taste of the gimbap was good...but because it was mostly rice it was disappointing. Tteokbokki 5/5 I really like this dish & it was delicious & the rice cakes were cooked perfectly, chewy. I really like the fried chicken here. The honey chicken is my favorite. I've had the bento box which was pretty tasty and you get a variety of things with it. I've gotten the rice bowls and those have been pretty tasty especially because you get to choose which type of protein you get on it. The fresh kimchi is really good as well. The service has always been pretty fast for me and I like I could just order at a kiosk. The overall vibe of this place seems pretty chill, especially because they also share a space with the wrap and slurp ramen/gimbap restaurant. I ordered the half and half soy garlic and the honey butter along with their atomic fries. The wings were done perfectly and the flavors were so good. I wasn't a big fan of the fries. I would say, if you were to order their fries eat them ASAP. They got soggy and wet and the flavor wasn't there. There was only high chair seating available and everyone that was there was waiting for their to go orders so I'm not sure if indoor dining is available. Bulgogi fries- this was actually really good except it was too much sauce on top for me. Lighter would have been better. 4. Spicy pork bowl- this was meh for me. It didn't taste great and I absolutely love spicy pork. The entire rice is soaked in oil versus spicy pork sauce and the combo with the other sauces was a solid no. 5. Tteobokki with cheese- ok, amazingly the cheese on it is a MUST!! Everything was perfectly cooked and chewy. Comes with fish cakes! However there was a weird smell that was from it that I could not deter from so I couldn't finish it. Ate the cheese and some Duk a fish cakes but the weird smell was overwhelming so it was a solid no after. I like authentic tteobokki sauce so I'm sad this was not great Overall this place is decent, if I need a Korean food fix, I'll try a couple of things but it won't be my Go to. They give an estimated time when placing your order over the phone and glad they came through with my order at the provided pick up time. So service for my first visit was good. Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) has yet to cease to amaze me at how creative or how unique their chicken can be! Frymazing definitely did KFC right. For starters, no issues with parking. Plenty of spots in this little plaza. When you enter, you're greeted with lots of cutesy signs hand written on chalk boards. We thought it gave the place a nice Korean culture vibe and feel to how they wrote the signs and the artwork they used. We started with the Atomic Fries. If you're wondering if they were spicy, they were not spicy. If you're wondering if they were good, they were delicious! So for all you spice wimps out there, dont be scared to give this a shot. Avoid the jalapeno even though the jalapeno was not spicy at all. The half/half was definitely the way to go. The Soy Garlic was super crunchy and very well done. The bbq was less crunch but a bit more saucy. I wouldn't say the bbq flavor was like amy typical American bbq, it was definitely a bit on the sweeter side. OMG! I think the honey butter wings are the closest thing to heaven on earth that I've ever experienced. I randomly happened upon this place after looking for something that had good reviews and photogenic food after my booster shot at the local Kaiser. I must admit that the wait was a little off putting but they were consistently busy so it was understandable. While I'd normally knock a star for this, when I got my food and bit into it, all my complaints were nullified. Their food was worth the wait! The honey butter wings were my absolute favorite. Words can't describe the ecstasy I felt when I bit into my first wing. That joy persisted even when eating them hours later and cold. All I can say to describe the honey butter wings is that it's like if fried chicken and biscuits had a beautiful baby. I was excited about the chillin chili wings but the kind of chili used was not my favorite but still edible and enjoyable. The pair nicely balanced each other as the chili did have a kick. The kick also paired well with the fire fries that weren't fire as in spicy but were fire as in amazing (my second favorite item ordered). The bibimbap was flavorful but hard to mix given how packed the dish was in the shallow container. The blue lemonade was fun but sweet and nothing I need to ever order again.
