Internet service was established quickly and they told me if there is outage than my internet will work on backup router. Within a month there were quite a few outages and backups never worked. There is a bot chat as customer care that doesn't give proper answers for complaints and there is no customer care number where you can talk to humans representative. I have been without internet for 5 days now and my appointment is scheduled for today between 1 and 5 and I am home waiting but I cannot get anyone on the phone to confirm they are still coming. I received a call from an unknown number about 2:30pm and when I answered and said hello 5 times no one said anything! I called the number back and it was for a service order line but it did not specify what company. I assumed it was Frontier so i waited to see if anyone would pick up. I sat on hold for 45 minutes and no one ever picked up. I went online and got the 800 number and called their automated system but it just confirmed that my appointment was today between 1-5 and then said "goodbye" and then hung up on me. I tried calling back to speak to a representative to make sure that they would still be coming today because I took off from work but it was not possible to get anyone on the phone! Reading all these reviews sounds very similar to my situation. When the internet is working its fast and works well but when you need support or need to talk to a human being its horrible!! Oh ya, and the online chat option won't load! I would give 0 stars if Icould! Time for another internet provider!!! Adding to my review above. To my delight, the technician ultimately called at 4:17pm and showed up about 15 minutes afterwards like he said he would. He was friendly and knowledgeable and fixed the problem. I also received a response to my review from Frontier and they advised that they have live agents on Facebook around the clock to speak to. That's funny because that was not advertised on their website nor was it offered as an option in any of the automated systems when I called. I stayed for 18 hours with no internet yet they could not get me quicker solutions. The technician came and he said that the router was old and they replaced at their own cost. 3 days later, WiFi goes down again! Their online chat is quick but they go in circles before solving your problem. They will be telling you to do the same thing you've done 1001 times as a solution! I decided to cancel my subscription with them and that was the beginning of another nightmare. Can you imagine they did not have the correct email address to verify my account? Worst company ever! Frontier canceled my business internet service without our permission, while I requested to cancel my 3 phone lines. It not only brought us a lot of trouble since there is no internet, but also charged me the early termination fee with no reason. Moreover, the agent did not remove all three phone lines we requested to terminate from my account, but keep charging us the fees! I contacted Frontier and tell them the problem, but no one resolve this issue, furthermore they sent the case to a collection agent. Everything is so messed up with this company. Today is the 4th day I'm without internet. i spoke to a lady over chat who said that because I did not have their router she could not do more and that my router was defective. I went to BestBuy and had to waste my geek squad warranty on an exchange just to prove them wrong and guess what, the new router is unable to lock in an IP address just like the old one. I finally scheduled a tech through the app on my own. The dude came yesterday hooked one of their routers and same thing no internet. The dude called their service center and came up with some sorry ass excuse that some dude running from the cops knocked out a registry and they were working on it ( for 3 days ok ). The tech said he was going to get on it and promised to come back at 2pm or a little after because that was the ETA they gave him. A day later we have an ice storm here and still no service and the tech never came back. I tried to chat with another one of their useless representatives who told me I had to wait until they fix this weird service outage that by the way they didn't even informed us of until we requested a tech here. We loose internet a couple of days a month for like 24 hours with no explanation to credit given for the days with no service, horrible customer service. I just about had it with this people I'm going back to Spectrum as fast as I can especially since they now have fiber in my area. Coming Monday I won't be able to go to the office to work because most likely the roads are going to be iced over here. With my internet most likely not working by then I won't be able to work from home and get paid, making me loose a day of work. Warning to old people who are considering this company DONT !! Well, it's now 9:12 in the evening. Still no Internet and after being on hold for over 30 minutes this time, agent informs me that yes there is an outage with no estimated time to resolve. Oh, and the app they constantly talk about while on hold still say no outages. So will be contacting Spectrum to switch to in the morning. Current outage now going on 3 hours. Took over 20 minutes on hold before I could talk to someone. While on hold, message kept playing telling me to use the mobile app. Already did that and it tells me there are no outages. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. We've been put off one week at a time for 7 wks. We've had 4 appointments for hookup, 3 of which they no showed. The initial appointment they did show up to, they weren't able to do anything at as they hadn't coordinated timing with the company placing the fiber. They require someone home for 4 hour blocks for each of these appointments which are only available during regular business hours. After an hour on the phone, they've forwarded us to another department and we still have no date for setup. Would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I moved and asked for my current service with them to be transferred from one location to the other (old address to new address) at the beginning of Sept I have spoken to countless reps. Originally my request to transfer was set to transfer to the same address (aka old address) which I already had their service. How is that not noted. Why would I need internet to an address that already has their internet service and that I have clearly stated that I am moving from. That was the 1st thing. The transfer was schedule for 2 days later from when I called since I let them know that I work from home and absolutely could not have my service interrupted for very long. Then I called back on that 2nd day to confirm that someone would be here to make the connection from my old address to my new address at the time stipulated, because it was past the timeframe they had provided. That's when they told me about their mistake and promised me that they would do everything they could to get service to me asap. Their asap was a week from that day and they offered me a free month for their mistake. Not Enough! That week came and past and when I called to confirm the techs arrival they said that they couldn't complete the request because someone forgot to add the apt number. I asked why wouldn't anyone call me? They couldn't answer that simple question. Another rep took my apt number down and said she would get it fixed. It took close to another week to finally receive a text message letting me know that my order had been placed and that a tech would be at my place in a few days. This all started on Sept 2nd and the tech came and transferred/restored my service on Sept 25th! We are talking about 23 days to do a simple transfer within the same city/same zip code! How does that even get that complicated that absolutely not one single person has the brains to reach out and ask for the missing info an APT #! That is insane. The representative who cold called @ our front door, was extremely persuasive, LIED to us about his willingness to return, IF we encountered any "problems" with Frontier. The ONE Bright spot of our ordeal was "Mohamad" the installer with Frontier; he was very thorough in completing his tasks. Frontier DOES NOT PROVIDE TV service, it is done by "Direct TV" (Which will warrant its own BAD REVIEW)! Frontier internet/phone is very poor quality. We switched BACK to "SPECTRUM" almost immediately; in the process, Frontier REFUSED to "post" our phone number back to Spectrum, so we lost our phone # we have had for OVER 20 years! In the past we had to deal with outages that lasted a long time. Their services seem to be unreliable due to upstream outages. Their technical support team seems to not notate accounts to keep track of ongoing issues, which makes following up on technical issues a pain. They do not keep us up-to-date regarding these outages and why they are happening. There is not any transparency. Throughout one recent outage, we had been on and off calls with their support team and supervisors. They have an automatic tagging system that will tag your tickets when that ticket was made during an outage. This caused us a lot of issues since we were experiencing hardware issues with our ONT while an outage happened to be occurring at the same time in our area. Every ticket and tech dispatch that was submitted ended up being cancelled without our say automatically because of how tickets are tagged. After 6 infuriating calls that went nowhere, 3 automatically cancelled tech dispatches, and several days without service, we finally had one person work to actually get a technician out to our location. Once the tech was able to replace our equipment, our services were restored. I have no idea WHY they thought implementing this for their ticketing system was wise. This made it impossible for our actual issues that were unrelated to the outage to get resolved. I think what made all of this worse was having to listen to the technicians on the phone run the same troubleshooting tasks over and over before giving the same scripted response regarding their new products. Why would we want to hear about your products when our current services receive horrible support? Just such a terrible experience. I wish there were more viable fiber providers in my area. read more

Barbara from the executive team apologized and escalated the situation and they had it running before even showing up to my home. I'm never one to write a bad review but this experience has been beyond horrible. So my internet went out due to a snow storm, and I got on a call and was able to schedule an appointment the next day for a technician to come out to my property and service my internet. That following day I had been refreshing my app to check the status of the ticket, and all of a sudden it shows that my issue had been resolved. The only problem with this is that nobody ever came to my property, and my Internet was still out. Upon calling the customer service, they said that my ticket was linked to a general outage and because that outage had been fixed my appointment had been canceled. If you're going to tell somebody that you're going to their home to fix the Internet, then I expect you to follow through with that claim. My next available appointment is now four days later and I don't have time to wait as I run an online business. No matter who I talked to nobody was able to expedite the service. On top of all this for the five phone call calls that I've had to make, it always ends with them trying to upsell me on the next best speed.
