Several months ago I incresed my speed to 1G from 500, no additional charge. Well that was the absolute wordy idea, not only did my price increase the speed is far less than I was getting. Just moved my services to frontier about a week ago. Last night they Cancel my services with out a notificación . They were going to send a technician today and never showed up. I had internet service and Utube tv installed February 4th by Frontier Communications. The fiber-optic cable was temporary installed across 4 driveways and 3 yards before being terminated. I was told it would be perminately installed no later than 7 business days. Here we are the 27th of February and it's still lying across the driveways and yards. This internet has been the worst! Since it was installed four months ago, not a single day has passed without the connection going out in my house. It goes out, comes back in less than 6 minutes, then goes out again for about 10 minutes, and repeats. It's been this way with intermittent service from the beginning. I've tried to fix it, but their automated customer service doesn't connect me with anyone. Months ago, they told me they would send a technician to my house, but they never confirmed the appointment, and no one ever showed up. Well for starters, their service is terrible. It goes out at least once a week. Their techs have disconnected my internet while outside connecting a neighbors then drove off without connecting mine back into the tap. I called frontier and they said it would be a week before someone could plug it back in. Not sure why he couldn't just turn around for that! Then out of the blue I see my bill is $207. I call and ask for an explanation and they didn't have one so the lady said she will try to get a credit on my account to fix it. She submitted the request and the higher ups denied it! I call back. They said they're not going to approve it because they accidentally gave me credit over the last few months and want me to pay it back. I asked how this was my fault and why I have to pay for it they said it wasn't but it was out of their hands. I have this set up on autopay so they just took the money as they pleased. The customer service is non-existent. My business internet cut out suddenly this afternoon. The tech support IVR scheduled an appointment but won't let me talk to a person. I needed to talk to someone to coordinate timing tomorrow. Each time I try to get to a person, it tells me I have a ticket in progress and then actually hung up on me. I tried calling in through the account support number but was on infinite hold. It's infuriating. I've been a customer of Frontier for almost 8 years. This experience is making me look at other providers in the area. If Frontier is too cheap to retain their service reps, maybe it's time to move on. I would have sent this feedback to Frontier directly but there wasn't even an email option on the website. I used to be able to chat and/or speak to a live person. The people I used to speak to were very competent for the most part. Now all I can interact with is chat bots and IVRs that can't answer my questions. We have had no internet for 3 day and today after waiting the entire afternoon at home, we received a notification that our ticket was "in progress," even though no technician had arrived. When we contacted Frontier, we were told that the technician had already visited and knocked on our door, which was blatantly untrue and can be backed up by our neighbors cameras. However the only solution offered to us was to schedule another technician for the following day. The lack of accountability and transparency in Frontier's service is appalling. Not only have we been without internet for 36 hours, but the inability to work remotely while we wait all day for technicians who never show has severely impacted our productivity. However, a new provider came to the area and offered us the same service for a much cheaper price. When I signed up with Frontier I was told that there was no contract and could cancel at any time. When I did cancel I was charged a 50.00 "restocking fee" for the return of the modem. Never mentioned when I signed up and it was buried in the paperwork on page 3 middle of the page. When you cancel your service due to so many outages they charge you $50 restocking fee on poor equipment. They also charge you a month after you cancel. Customer service is poor. The installation included three wifi 6 Eero routers that provide more than adequate service throughout the house. Unfortunately, they have lots of extended outages, even during good weather. Frontier (Plano, TX) does not honor the promotions provided to customers. I received a promo in May for three months free service, so I signed up. Today I was charged $49 for my first months service which was supposed to be $0.00. I contacted customer support via chat and the customer service person essentially told me I was a liar for 50 minutes and they was not such promo. I kept asking for a manager and offered over and over again to send promo to Mark, but he would or could not provide one and would not connect me to a manager. Finally after an hour of him telling me no such promo was available he came back and told me I was not eligible because service has to be installed between June7th and July 30th. Mine was installed on June 5th and the promo makes no mention of a start date only an end date of June 30th (today). Best he would provide is a 'sorry' after wasting an hour of my time.
