I moved and asked for my current service with them to be transferred from one location to the other (old address to new address) at the beginning of Sept I have spoken to countless reps. Originally my request to transfer was set to transfer to the same address (aka old address) which I already had their service. How is that not noted. Why would I need internet to an address that already has their internet service and that I have clearly stated that I am moving from. That was the 1st thing. The transfer was schedule for 2 days later from when I called since I let them know that I work from home and absolutely could not have my service interrupted for very long. Then I called back on that 2nd day to confirm that someone would be here to make the connection from my old address to my new address at the time stipulated, because it was past the timeframe they had provided. That's when they told me about their mistake and promised me that they would do everything they could to get service to me asap. Their asap was a week from that day and they offered me a free month for their mistake. Not Enough! That week came and past and when I called to confirm the techs arrival they said that they couldn't complete the request because someone forgot to add the apt number. I asked why wouldn't anyone call me? They couldn't answer that simple question. Another rep took my apt number down and said she would get it fixed. It took close to another week to finally receive a text message letting me know that my order had been placed and that a tech would be at my place in a few days. This all started on Sept 2nd and the tech came and transferred/restored my service on Sept 25th! We are talking about 23 days to do a simple transfer within the same city/same zip code! How does that even get that complicated that absolutely not one single person has the brains to reach out and ask for the missing info an APT #! That is insane. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. We've been put off one week at a time for 7 wks. We've had 4 appointments for hookup, 3 of which they no showed. The initial appointment they did show up to, they weren't able to do anything at as they hadn't coordinated timing with the company placing the fiber. They require someone home for 4 hour blocks for each of these appointments which are only available during regular business hours. After an hour on the phone, they've forwarded us to another department and we still have no date for setup. Would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Several months ago I incresed my speed to 1G from 500, no additional charge. Well that was the absolute wordy idea, not only did my price increase the speed is far less than I was getting. It is intermittent at best but no where close to what is advertised. I have made multiple calls, had a Tech out who changed the box. When I call it is always over seas call center, last call he asked for the serial number on the box as it was not on my account ?? I would think that equipment information is listed. Worst internet provider. I had Frontier for 2 1/2 months. The fiber line runs across over a curb, across a busy street, over my curb, across my yard and into my house. Every 3-7 days the fiber line breaks because it's not made to have cars drive over it. Frontier is nearly impossible to talk to a person and text chat is the only way. I have numerous chats that they promised to bury the line so this doesn't happen but all they do is send another technician to run the line over the street again. Do not use this company. In the past we had to deal with outages that lasted a long time. Their services seem to be unreliable due to upstream outages. Their technical support team seems to not notate accounts to keep track of ongoing issues, which makes following up on technical issues a pain. They do not keep us up-to-date regarding these outages and why they are happening. There is not any transparency. Throughout one recent outage, we had been on and off calls with their support team and supervisors. They have an automatic tagging system that will tag your tickets when that ticket was made during an outage. This caused us a lot of issues since we were experiencing hardware issues with our ONT while an outage happened to be occurring at the same time in our area. Every ticket and tech dispatch that was submitted ended up being cancelled without our say automatically because of how tickets are tagged. After 6 infuriating calls that went nowhere, 3 automatically cancelled tech dispatches, and several days without service, we finally had one person work to actually get a technician out to our location. Once the tech was able to replace our equipment, our services were restored. I have no idea WHY they thought implementing this for their ticketing system was wise. This made it impossible for our actual issues that were unrelated to the outage to get resolved. I think what made all of this worse was having to listen to the technicians on the phone run the same troubleshooting tasks over and over before giving the same scripted response regarding their new products. Why would we want to hear about your products when our current services receive horrible support? Just such a terrible experience. I wish there were more viable fiber providers in my area. read more

Do not do your business with frontier. Their wifi breaks down very frequently for its price, and when you aren't lucky enough to fix it on your own, they will attempt to send someone to fix it. They will then not send anyone, and cancel their appointment in the middle of the night before. This is the second time this has happened, as I am writing this on my phone, currently. Barbara from the executive team apologized and escalated the situation and they had it running before even showing up to my home. That following day I had been refreshing my app to check the status of the ticket, and all of a sudden it shows that my issue had been resolved. The only problem with this is that nobody ever came to my property, and my Internet was still out. Upon calling the customer service, they said that my ticket was linked to a general outage and because that outage had been fixed my appointment had been canceled. If you're going to tell somebody that you're going to their home to fix the Internet, then I expect you to follow through with that claim. My next available appointment is now four days later and I don't have time to wait as I run an online business. No matter who I talked to nobody was able to expedite the service. On top of all this for the five phone call calls that I've had to make, it always ends with them trying to upsell me on the next best speed. Zero star. Service is very bad and customer service is even worse. The first day they install my internet it was working then stopped working the next day. I scheduled a technician to come fix it and the earliest available schedule is after 3 days but the day before schedule, their system remotely fix the internet then cancelled the technician appointment without informing me. The internet worked for few hour then stopped working again. I called customer service and they wanted to schedule another appointment for the technician and the earliest is the next week which is 4 days after, so I decided to cancel the service and told them that I don't want to pay the for the first bill. I'm willing to pay the restocking fee but not the service. Customer service said they will try to wave it but frontier will review and make the decision but they still bill me for the first month. I called customer service again and they said that I have to pay the bill first then they will refund it back since it was already billed. I asked for an email proof that they will refund me the money, then he that the email was already sent, I checked my email, inbox and junk mails but no email from them, then he said it will take 24 hours but never received any email from them. Now they reported me to collection agency. And oh, I order 1G speed but when I speed test the internet it's only around 600 mbps. read more

It is apparently Frontier company policy to no call, no show customers on install appointments if any issues come up. I was waiting for my install appointment with a window of 1 to 5 pm. At 4 pm I called them to verify they were still coming. They told me no and that install team showed up and saw no fiber line was installed and just left. First I was working outside the entire time and no one showed up. So that was lie #1. This rep then places me on hold to "research" and then cold transfers me, this then happened to me 3 more times by 3 different reps until I get to one guy. He then claims they texted me 3 times to tell me the install appointment was canceled due to no fiber line. I then asked him why they would send an install team if it was canceled? He had no answer. That was lie #2. He then tells me my fiber line install won't be till Dec 13th! I explain to him I work from home and I need resolution. He says nothing he can do. I then call back 3 days later after I've moved back to Tulsa to live with my parents. I then get a helpful rep who after much digging and frustration on his part dealing with the install team. He tells me my fiber install never happened because construction debris was blocking the terminal. I told him the debris was from the new construction home next door and that it has been moved. He reschedules me for November 30th. I do 2 confirmation calls prior to my appointment and driving 4 hours to DFW all ready to enjoy my new home. They give me an installation window of 1 to 5 pm again. I call at 1 pm to verify they are still coming. Tia assures me they are coming. 4 pm comes around and still no one has showed up. I call them again and ask if they are coming. Darren then advises they are not coming. He tells me they had me on the schedule for a fiber line install on November 29th but for a unknown reason it wasn't completed! I asked him why I wasn't informed of this prior? I also advised him that I called 3 times to confirm my appointment! He apologized and said the previous rep probably didn't read the dispatch notes! I asked him if it was acceptable for Frontier to just no call, no show customers. He explained it's how their system is set up and it's completely unacceptable. We have now missed work twice, driven a total of 12 hours, moved back in with my parents, and have been unable to move into our new home due to this horrible company. They have dropped the ball every step of the way from the time of the install till today. installed and did not finish it for a week then they have left the cable running across my driveway and front yard multipe times I and anothers have had our feet tangled and have fallen when I contact them they say they are passing it on to some department and no conact or effor to resolve this issue has been made by frontier for over 3 weeks now I cant mow my yard and now the city is sending me letters about mowing with threats of fines. I called the 3rd time and said service is not available. I have to find another provider. I have to pay the whole month of fee as there is no prorate and had to pay another $50 for return their equipment. DO NOT USE FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS AS YOUR PROVIDER! I have been back and forth with this company since April of last year. I had been a customer with frontier from June of 2022 until I called and cancelled March 30th of 2024. Following the call, a frontier technician came to our house and disconnected the service and removed their equipment the first week of April. The next month, I was continuing to be billed for the service. I called again and was informed that the woman who I spoke with did not cancel the account as I had asked and she had confirmed to me, she only paused it for a month. We had no equipment at that time and had a new internet provider through Spectrum. Since she failed to close it as she informed me, the representative from headquarters informed me on June 14 that the account was officially closed and to file a dispute of the charges since I had not been using their services since the equipment was collected at the end of march. I filed the dispute and was STILL being charged each month for their services. In addition to this, the visit from the technician who removed the equipment from our house at the beginning of April was not logged, so they have been trying to charge us for that as well. At the time that I filed the dispute, the charges equaled $254.80. The total continued to increase (despite the dispute and cancellation of service) until it reached the current balance of $461.85. I have just received a message from a collection company about this charge affecting my credit. I have been back and forth in communication with this company, and no one has helped me. I HAVE SPENT HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM TO RESOLVE THIS! I have filed a complaint with the BBB AND sent an email to their CEO. They are unprofessional, incompetent and unwilling to help you. Now, they are asking me to wait for the authorization ID in the mail and then call them once I receive it to resolve the issue with my account access so I waited. Once I received it , I called them today to resolve the issue. They attempted to fix it for an hour but were unsuccessful. They informed me that their system was temporarily down and advised me to try again in 24 hours. This was particularly frustrating because the 'system error' message had persisted for almost a month. I didn't want to hang up because the call was lengthy, so I inquired about my plan, its due date, and other relevant details since I couldn't access it. They revealed that the plan costs $35, which was different from the $20 I had been informed about before and that the first month would be charged instead of being free as previously stated. This entire process has been incredibly frustrating. I had asked them to cancel my service, and they transferred me to another representative who handles cancellations. She inquired about the reason for my cancellation, and I had to recount the entire scenario once again. To my surprise, she informed me that, in addition to the first month's bill, I would also have to pay a cancellation fee of $50. This was particularly disheartening because the representatives who had initially come to my doorstep had assured me that cancellation was free. I would never have signed up for the service if I had known about this fee, and I would have canceled within a week if I had been informed about it sooner. The company had deliberately withheld this information to keep me waiting for another two weeks, forcing me to pay the first month's bill and the cancellation fee. Even after I had called them three days after installing the internet, the representative who answered the phone offered me a $20 credit for the inconvenience caused which also I never received . Customer service isn't great and the internet went out constantly. Also, making people call to cancel is pretty annoying. Well for starters, their service is terrible. It goes out at least once a week. Their techs have disconnected my internet while outside connecting a neighbors then drove off without connecting mine back into the tap. I called frontier and they said it would be a week before someone could plug it back in. Not sure why he couldn't just turn around for that! Then out of the blue I see my bill is $207. I call and ask for an explanation and they didn't have one so the lady said she will try to get a credit on my account to fix it. She submitted the request and the higher ups denied it! I call back. They said they're not going to approve it because they accidentally gave me credit over the last few months and want me to pay it back. I asked how this was my fault and why I have to pay for it they said it wasn't but it was out of their hands. I have this set up on autopay so they just took the money as they pleased. Just moved my services to frontier about a week ago. Last night they Cancel my services with out a notificación . They were going to send a technician today and never showed up. I called them and I routed for 2 hrs. From sales department to technical department. Despite that I already had an appt. no one showed up nor call to let us know. The customer service is non-existent. My business internet cut out suddenly this afternoon. The tech support IVR scheduled an appointment but won't let me talk to a person. I needed to talk to someone to coordinate timing tomorrow. Each time I try to get to a person, it tells me I have a ticket in progress and then actually hung up on me. I tried calling in through the account support number but was on infinite hold. It's infuriating. I've been a customer of Frontier for almost 8 years. This experience is making me look at other providers in the area. If Frontier is too cheap to retain their service reps, maybe it's time to move on. I would have sent this feedback to Frontier directly but there wasn't even an email option on the website. I used to be able to chat and/or speak to a live person. We have had no internet for 3 day and today after waiting the entire afternoon at home, we received a notification that our ticket was "in progress," even though no technician had arrived. When we contacted Frontier, we were told that the technician had already visited and knocked on our door, which was blatantly untrue and can be backed up by our neighbors cameras. However the only solution offered to us was to schedule another technician for the following day. The lack of accountability and transparency in Frontier's service is appalling. Not only have we been without internet for 36 hours, but the inability to work remotely while we wait all day for technicians who never show has severely impacted our productivity. I had internet service and Utube tv installed February 4th by Frontier Communications. The fiber-optic cable was temporary installed across 4 driveways and 3 yards before being terminated. I was told it would be perminately installed no later than 7 business days. Here we are the 27th of February and it's still lying across the driveways and yards.
