My main phone was sown for almost 3 week and it took a threat of a lawsuit to get someone to come to my business to fix it as it could not be fixed over the phone. Now the phone has another problem which I left a voicemail for someone to return my call and no one has. I've just been on the phone for 35 minutes on hold, no one has picked up. Warning -- Deceptive Sales Tactics A rep came into my nail salon in Utah offering phone/internet service. I was told the paperwork was just for pre-approval, not a contract. After researching the company and seeing many bad reviews, I decided not to move forward. When I told the rep I didn't want the service, I was hit with a $299 cancellation fee -- even though I never activated or used anything. He claimed everything was discussed and recorded, but I recorded our conversation too, and it proves otherwise. Very dishonest experience. False Promises and terrible customer service. My salesman Joe B came to my office to sell me the services. I was promised superior customer service, a phone system that has never gone down, and sold T-Mobile Internet service as the fastest option. Each one of these promises false and misleading. The T-Mobile service was so slow that my calls would cut out or there would be static. The T-Mobile Service could not handle VOIP, nor handle internet usage for our computers. Within the first full week of the new service, all of my phone lines went down because a server at Unified Global went down. I have been attempting to cancel the service with my project manager, but she keeps telling me that I need to handle this through Jennifer Cherry in accounting. Although Jennifer was responsive when Unified was attempting to procure my account, she has not returned a call or responded to my emails. I reached out to Joe B several times to discuss the false and misleading statements and he seemed very sympathetic, but after several weeks, he told me there is nothing he can do because his employment with Unified Global was terminated. Approximately one week after being told that Joe B was terminated, I received a call from a potential customer of UGS asking about my review and my experience with UGS. The potential new customer advised me that Joe B was hounding him to sign up as recent as three days ago and was calling him everyday about signing up for the service. If anyone else is having as much trouble as I am and such trouble is based upon false and misleading representations from their salesman, we should look into a class action lawsuit. Stay Away!! The USG salesperson will match the price with your current service provider and once you sign contract, the Salesperson will leave the company, or their email address will not be active (basically blocked your email address). They quoted us the pricing of $189.00 a month and actual billing between USG and Equipment financing company called Grayer for $75.00 which makes $235.00 a month which is higher than quoted price. The USG is telephoning No. hosting company in cloud where they will subcontract the Internet service and Equipment rental with third parties, and these contracts are long term non-cancellable. read more

Received a call today and when confronted with I had received a call last week she the rep said no I hadnt received a call (I checked the call log and it turns out she was wrong) I asked which company she had been looking for and it was a company that hasnt been around in more than a decade. I do remember vaguely having used these people in the past and they were the worst company by far. read more

Our company read the reviews before going with United Global and we are glad we did! However I still gave them 3 stars because the sales rep Jerry Lachowsky was awesome and very professional. Had we not run into a time crunch the first day he was here we would have signed with him, but thank God we did it gave us time to research the company. read more

This company is a scam. Complete failure. They have no idea what they are doing. Big promises that they cannot provide. Sent parts and then sent a tech a couple of days later. Parts were not compatible. they told the tech they would send different parts and reschedule. No new parts were sent, but a tech was sent. Again unsuccessful. Now they try to do everything remotely and it will only take a few minutes. Phones have been down all day. This is a business thats open and makes sales calls all day. Gotta have phones. I manage a spa in Philly. The worst decision we have made as a business was signing on with UGS. We have had nonstop issues for the past two months. Between calls dropping, not being able to hear callers and vice versa, the phones they installed not working at all, issues with our voice mail, issues with our router, it just never ends. They lock you into a 5 year contract and offer to buy you out of your previous carrier, but they ignore your emails when you inquire about when we will actually see the money reimbursed. It has been 2 months and we still haven't gotten our money back. They claim to have 24/7 support, but there have been times we waited days for someone to acknowledge a support ticket with the excuse being "we have a lot of tickets to get through". Their main selling point was their 24/7 reliable and efficient customer support, unlike corporate CS hotlines that take hours of waiting on hold to speak to a human, but at this point I would much rather wait on hold than to deal with the horror we have experienced with UGS. They say they are doing everything they can to resolve the issues, but we wait days on end to hear back from the technicians and the project manager. All they do is send replacement equipment, but it never actually fixes anything. One of the technicians they sent was behaving very unprofessionally in our business space and causing disruption to our operations. UGS claims that we never "switched over to their equipment" - this is a misleading statement. What actually happened was they never explained to us that they created a new wifi network for us to connect to, which they later told us the log in information for and this did resolve SOME of our internet issues. The issues were still slow until they came out and installed some new equipment to improve our internet. Secondly, they stated that they made multiple visits to our facility to fix ongoing issues, however we still have the same issues with our phones and none have been resolved. Additionally, both our cordless phones decided to spontaneously stop working yesterday. We only have access to 1 phone that works. They claim that they think these issues we are having could be linked to our internet provider, but the kicker is we have been with Comcast for 20 years and have never had any of the issues we have with UGS with any of our old phone providers. When we were with Comcast for the phones, this never happened. When we were with Nextiva, this never happened, so it makes no sense why all of a sudden now that we are with UGS now issues may be because of our "internet provider". Very unprofessional and misleading response from UGS. They are just trying to save their reputation. read more

This company repeatedly asks you to check out their Google reviews, which are mostly bogus. Their Yelp reviews are nearly all 1 star, and are more in line with my experience today. They called to schedule a meeting, claiming to be a Comcast partner. I pressed the woman to find out if they were a new provider trying to get us to switch, and she confirmed they were. We scheduled a meeting and then they showed up several days early and at the wrong time. The sales rep was very pushy. All sales meetings go through myself, the business manager, and are then presented to the owners. However, I do have signing authority. The rep brushed me off and wouldn't give me the information and kept pushing for the owners, who do not work in the building. He insisted that the owners set up this meeting (they 100% did not, UGS contacted me to set up this meeting). He finally gave me a verbal quote but insinuated that the price would go up if we didn't lock it in immediately. The entire experience came off pushy, sleazy, and scammy. read more

I received a call from U.G.S. and the person (I spoke) said 'we are partner of spectrum.' So, I asked that person, then, send us the price & quote and how much is the dedicated IP address services ? That person keep talking about I don't know about that..What???? So, okay then, make an appointment and give us the full price. They keep talking about have a meeting...Yup. I waste my time and have a horrible time. Why this guy lying about partnership~~~. Don't trust this partnership things and check your provider about that. Thus, when you get this call or sales person, just ask them about 'how much is the dedicated IP address services' This guy's cannot respond well. Just got a call from them and they use Caller ID spoofing. Telemarketers are irritating enough, but when they dishonestly represent themselves--how can you trust a company like that. The person who called me was using a local number, 509-402-3382, but when I asked for a call back, the number was 469-210-8430. Any company that uses Caller ID spoofing should not be trusted. There are not many legit reasons to use Caller ID spoofing. One example is a doctor who calls back on his cell, but uses Caller ID spoofing so that his office number shows up on someone's caller ID. Law enforcement has legit reasons to use Caller ID spoofing. Some telemarketer that wants you to believe their business is local, instead of several states away is not a legit reason for using Caller ID spoofing. There are many communication companies that are honest and ethical. Stick with one of them. If you need to confirm--use Yelp! :-) read more

We received a call from ''AT&T'' company that they could make an improvement for us and schedule a meeting for the next day with an account manager. As soon as he arrived he started to ask for previous invoices and said he could solve our problem, started to fill new service orders and activation forms, after I said I am not a manager and I couldn't make a decision, he started to push me to call my manager, I said he is busy so we will review your offer and call you back, he continues to push me that this offer is only for today and only if we sign a contract for 40 months. He was so pushy and tried to sell us their services. After I asked if they were AT&T partners he said yes, and changed the topic so fast He left and I decided to look for reviews, I wasn't surprised, so I called my manager, told him about the situation, and called the agent to say that we wouldn't move forward with them, after he got upset and said that they do more than other services do, and continued calling my managed again and again. I won't recommend then from a very beginning, that was a bad experience. read more

Support is lacking. We have had the phones for just over 3 months and they do not work. The static and calls cutting in and out are horrible. I continuously send in tickets without any resolution. We never had any issues with the service provider that we had before switching. The only reason that we changed was that Unified offered better rates, wish we had stayed with the other provider. I am now paying for phones and service that does not work. We have to give customers our cell phone numbers to be able to handle taking care of them. Do not recommend using this service provider. read more

I would give 0 stars if i could. Our internet was slower, the printer and remote cameras don't connect like they did previously. The phones are an expensive addition to the contract that weren't mentioned, and there is no alert when you have a voicemail. Also, the salesman lied about our ability to get out of the contract. I received a call which the Caller-ID just said "Dallas, Texas." Red Flag #1. The person I spoke to said that they were with Comcast and that they were going to give us faster Internet and lower cost for our phone lines. Having worked at Avaya for over 30 years, I know all of the Telecom Tricks. I kept pressing her as to what company she was with. All she would say is "We Partner with Comcast." I said "Okay, last chance, what Company are YOU with?" She said "We are UGS, and we Partner with Comcast." She assured me that I would still have Comcast, just have lower bills. I set up an appointment for a week later (mainly to get her off the phone), and immediately called Comcast. The person there had never heard of UGS. I then said Unified Global Solutions, still meant nothing to the Comcast Rep. Together we discovered that UGS is a VOIP company. Again, I've dealt with VOIP at Avaya and don't prefer it. But the main thing was the deception used to try to make me think I was keeping the same service, just paying less. Avaya has Business Partners, so I am familiar with the concept, but these guys are definitely NOT Business Partners, they are competitors. After speaking to the Comcast Rep, I called UGS back immediately (less than 15 minutes after I made the appointment, and spoke to a Representative named Layla who told me that she would cancel the appointment. I'll see if the person shows up anyway. If the do, they will be turned away. The way I see it, if you have to lie to get business, you can't be very good. And based on some of the reviews on here, that seems to be accurate. I'd stay away if I were you. read more

Our company has had a horrible time with this company. They ported our numbers over and didn't hook up our phones even though their installer was here for over 2 hours. We were without phones while our IT had to reach out to them and connected them. When answering on the survey that we weren't happy with their services they kept rejecting the paperwork. When we refused to take that off they disconnected our phonelines. Not only that we were to sign a leasing agreement with them for the equipment and they included our service in that agreement that the bank does not cover, only equipment. Their lender reached out to us to clarify charges and they decided not to move forward with the contract after we told them everything that was going on. They also pointed out to us that signing their contract its almost impossible to get out of and also waives any rights under UCC. We've continually received rejections to port our numbers out and have had to counsel with our legal team. read more

UGS has been awesome from the beginning. We are a 6 location medical practice that wanted our locations to be able to communicate with one another. UGS consolidated all our locations, providing hardware, construction and installation. The support has been great. We were placed with Orlando (one of their engineers), who quickly fixes any issues that might arise. UGS was able to program our phones exactly as we wanted and even made features that we requested. I recommend UGS to anyone looking for a higher level phones with support and upgraded features. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. They sell this as huge savings (I believe the salesman had on the proposal $130/month), but don't clearly disclose that there is extra rental hardware (which we already had existing new phones, so we think this is just for the grandstream). Only save about $20/month after the rental costs are tacked on compared to going through spectrum directly. We spend much more per month in down time and terrible service than what the supposed "savings" would be. read more

Overall I wasted a lot of time and money - and I got off easy. Zack seems like a nice guy, and like any good salesman he quotes a competitive rate and gets you to sign a port request to get things going. A few days after their contractor installed phones and ported my number I got an email requesting I sign a lease document. READ IT. It is a phone equipment lease/rental contract at about 10 times the retail price of the phones. You have no way to force them to provide service or stop making payments if the service is bad, they go out of business, etc. When I questioned him, he assured me that they will take care of us and I don't need to be concerned with signing that 60 month lease. Its just a way to avoid all the taxes and fees. Sure it is, but what if things change? Maybe they will take care of you for the entire term, but after 3 weeks of his team unsuccessfully trying to get the 2 simple forward and transfer features I needed to work right, Zack started applying pressure to sign the lease. When I told him it still was not working right, and I was not going to sign a 5 year lease, he reluctantly offered the choice of a hefty install fee and equipment purchase, or higher month to month rate. Now I'm over a barrel: sign the lease, or pay a much higher monthly rate, or pay a $400 fee to get out. Also with UGS my outgoing calls are rarely answered as the caller ID says "restricted" or "private", and only one of the phones ring due to their crackerjack tech department mucking things up and never fixing them (I asked twice). When I decided it was better to pay to make them go away, I tried to tell him that they still hadn't made the system work as promised but he interrupted, blaming me for being too demanding (asked for them to do what they agreed to do) and said his techs blamed us for messing around with stuff in the portal - both untrue. Their tech folks have a very basic level of competence and are SLOOOOW. Not sure what's worse, the flim-flam "take the money and run" rate promise or gross technical incompetence at the back office. Better be happy with whatever they give you because you are STUCK for the 60 mo term if you are foolish enough to sign anything. STAY AWAY FROM UGS !!! read more

I know a few other people that use this company and they all have positive things to say , which is why I switched in the first place. If you want a company that will promise you all sorts of features, then never deliver, this is the one for you. And don't think you can get out of it when they don't give you what you were promised, because they will lock you into a financing agreement with no early termination clause for poor service. We were sold on a number of features with their phone service, which sounded wonderful. Four months later, after several e-mail and phone conversations, we still did not have several features we were promised during the original sale, not to mention our original sales person and technician were no longer with the company. There were delays in addressing issues, even sometimes acting as if the issues were never reported. Stay away from UGS. read more

There are a ton of VOIP providers out there, but this one has ALWAYS taken great care of us. Even when the problem isn't on their side they will bend over backward to make it right and help you. Smooth installation. The equipment works well. Their customer support and billing department are not great. It took me many months to resolve some issues with their promised buy-out clause but had to spend a lot of time and send many emails before I was able to get the issues resolved. The customer support team is not near as responsive as they were a year ago; perhaps it's due to Covid. Overall, the phone system works fine and the quality of the calls is good. read more
