Frontier has been the best internet service company that Ive been with by far! I have a 2 gig internet plan for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom floor plan. I noticed my bill went up $15.00 and reached out to Frontier and spoke with Tanasha. She was so wonderful and I had such a great customer service experience with her. 1/5 -- Extremely frustrating experience My Frontier internet went down around 1 PM and has now been out for over 9 hours. I work from home, so this outage caused me to lose 4 hours of PTO and I may now have to drive into the office tomorrow because my service still isn't working. What makes this even more frustrating is the complete lack of accurate communication. I tried contacting support and waited forever without getting connected to anyone. I also tried their outage text service and received no useful response. Then, when I finally got Frontier's online outage checker to work, it told me "Outage resolved in your area" with a resolution time of 12:00 AM on August 20 -- even though my internet didn't go out until approximately 1 PM on August 20 and it is STILL not working. I understand that outages happen. What I don't understand is leaving customers without service for hours while providing inaccurate information and making it incredibly difficult to get an actual update or speak with someone. For a service that people rely on to work from home, this has been incredibly disappointing. I ordered internet service in Trinity on August 1. On August 10, I received a message saying that the cable had been run and that they would connect the service on August 17. On August 17, a technician came and told me, "You need to have a commercial account." I said, "Okay, let's switch it to commercial." I had originally submitted the order online. He refused to do anything and left. I spent a total of about three hours on the phone with Frontier. They opened accounts, closed accounts, and scheduled another installation for the end of August. Eventually, I gave up and closed the account, which took another two hours. But here's the cherry on top: they are now demanding $69.99 from me for internet service that was NEVER connected. They never even ran the necessary wiring, and now they are threatening me with collections! I can't even get this balance cleared. This is an absolute scam. For comparison, I called Spectrum on August 20 at noon. At 2 PM the same day, a technician arrived with the equipment and connected my internet. I spent an entire month trying to get internet connected through Frontier, and they still never managed to connect it. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Unreliable service, poor customer service, and overpriced. Horrible value. I run a business off of my home internet. Service went down multiple times over two years. Frequently requiring people to come out multiple times to get it restored. It takes forever to navigate the chat feature to get actual help. They try to upsell you on the app, on the chat, and then the phone call when you just want your service restored that you have already purchased. Last failure was in July 2026. It took multiple visits for them to finally restore and provide stable service. They said no tech visit bill if there is something wrong. Indeed they had to replace ONT and move it inside as it was out in the weather. They not only charged $150 for the tech visit to repair their equipment but they also increased the price of 1G internet to $99.99/month. I've switched to Spectrum for $50/month with faster delivered speeds (great download, upload, and latency) and better customer service thus far. When trying to cancel, they will bill you for the entire month regardless of when you cancel so make sure you cancel before your next billing cycle. You will have to go through the app to get to chat to get the number to call to cancel, and they will try to upsell you throughout the process so make sure you carve off an additional 15-20 minutes during normal business hours. read more

My internet went out and once I finally found their customer service number (I had to pretend I wanted an upgrade to even get put on hold) I was on hold for an hour and a half. They never picked up, in fact. I waited so long the internet just came back on. Wish I knew what happened but I was never able to actually reach anyone. Meanwhile I went through their website where they did not appear to know there was even an outage. If at least I know they were aware there was a problem I could peacefully wait in my Luddite house until I was restored to the Digital Age. However, they never once signaled they were even aware there was a problem. Their chatbot also just spazzed out several times and I had to start over. It tried its darndest to avoid connecting me to a live agent then finally just waited me out. After "trying to connect me with the right agent" it just disconnected. When the service works it is great, but when you need help , it is the worst! Well the people on line really do want to help, but they can only tell you to do what you have probbly already done, "unplug everything," then plug it back in and wait, then they run their "line test" just to tell you "its not on their end" or their router or their battery back up. All this you can find out with asking any online AI and not have to fart around with an hour or more wait on line just to be told it's "you not them". The first time I went out and bought my own battery to replace their dead battery back up. I paid to repair their stuff, then their was the crap router. I spent more than an hour messing around with the friendly online support after 20 minuters fighting through the Poorly designed Chat Bot to get to a real person!!! That person then took another 30 minuet's of my life and my business I will never get back. I told them it looks and acts like a failed router, she refused to send a tech saying it's me not them. I finally convinced her to send a tech. Meanwhile our business was shut down!! When the tech arrived, again a very nice and well meaning man agreed the router was bad. He tried to use one he had but it would not work. So I went out and bought my own and , what do you know it worked!!!! Since then I went with another carrier for a wireless back up. BUT WAIT, IT GETS EVEN BETTER!! Frontier charged me $150.00 for the tech to come out and confirm it was their bad equipment, they could not fix it but they still billed me!!!!!!! Frontier internet: A masterclass in how to mishandle the basics. Onboarding was the worst I've ever experienced with any company, internet or otherwise. I received four separate emails prompting me to create an account. Each time I clicked the included link, tried to sign up, and was given an error code and told my account could not be found. This was over the course of about a week and a half. Calling support was a surreal loop: a robo-agent asked for my account number, failed to find it (exactly the reason I was calling), and then--rather than connecting me to a human--confirmed it couldn't find my account and then, just, hung up. "Sorry, I can't find your account.... Ok well see ya." Done. Four or five times in a row. Trying to figure out the secret magic combination of buttons and keywords to make the robo-agent point me to a real human and not just hang up on me was like trying to find the northwest passage, and it ended up taking me 40 minutes. Eventually I reached a human representative overseas who told me, confidently and authoritatively, that all of this was expected behavior and that it's all part of the plan to be locked out until your service starts, despite the barrage of emails saying the opposite. Clearly making up on the spot anything that would calm me down, although I told them to their face I didn't believe them. So, whatever. I told myself I'd give the benefit of the doubt, I'm mature enough to separate onboarding from the service itself. But here I am, one month in, and already dealing with two full outages. The most recent is active right this moment on the anniversary of 1 month of being a Frontier customer, and we are currently at 7.5 hours of outage time before I received any communication of any sort that there was an issue, and even then only generic textplate, copied and pasted unhelpful text with zero details about what's going on. I only found out the true cause--cut fiber--through texting a friend who works there, not the company itself. Official channels stayed silent or repeated vague copy-paste responses about "potential outages" and "working on it." Currently on a 12 month promotional deal of 5 gigs for ~100/month but thinking about cutting it short, I can't depend on this for work from home. The reliability and support feel like I've stepped into a time machine labeled 'Customer Experience, circa 2004.' Their suggestion? Pay an extra $20 a month for a cellular backup unit. "Hi, we can't fulfill our promise for expectations, will you please reward us with more money?" Literally unreal. If you're considering Frontier, ask yourself: how much trust, clarity, and basic human contact am I willing to sacrifice for this deal to be worth it? Everything you read online is true--unexpected billing issues, repeatedly unexpected charges after they hook you with the initial low amount, and awful customer service that forces you to use a glitchy AI chatbot before you can ever chat with a person (after an extremely lengthy wait). You'll be charged when you disconnect, have to mail your equipment back, and then you'll still be charged a $50 equipment restocking fee. Initial setup was delayed and unprofessional, with a profane technician pulling up late in a beat-up white van with one door painted a different color. You can't make this up. Frontier sucks. I waited a long time for fiber to be available. I finally got it working and was great. It worked 4 whole days till a tech came to check lines so he said. I was not even told anyone was coming or why. He took hammer and hammered something on pole and left without a word. My internet went down when he did that and has not worked since. I called immediately and they would not send him bag to fix what he messed up. The wires at the main box down the road were also pulled out by him. Frontier refuses to fix the problem till 2 weeks when they made me an appointment. This is ridiculous. They messed it up and would not send guy back but make a new fiber customer wait 2 weeks. Been on the phone with frontier all morning (picture uploaded below) to customer service because they decided to suspend my account with no warning. I was told reconnection to restore service was made at 8:22 am CST by an agent and confirmed documented by another agent since the first agent pulled the ole I can't reach the manager bit and threw my call back in the queue. The now current agent whom I've been on the phone over 2hrs with and hour into the conversation tells me that a balance is due 48hrs ago and to pay that in order to restore service. The balance is not the issue. It's the fact tha YOU just said service was being stored and a ticket was already submitted. Then when I hold him accountable for that you start back peddling and talking about things as if tha balance was an issue the whole time when that wasn't the case. And I've still have yet to speak to a manager. Fronted as an internet service is good. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SHIT. They lack accountability and lack transparenc. They read off a script(done that line of work before) and clearly back track on statements over a recorded line. I plan on canceling them as a company and would urge anyone not to get Frontier. They already withdrew money from my account when payment info was saved via the application in excess of 700 dollars on December of 2025. Then when that gets resolved they suspend my account WITH NO WARNING. For a balance that was due lever the weekend when that had no bearing in restoring my account. This was, without question, the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I am an existing Frontier customer and scheduled a move of my service two weeks ago. I received a confirmation number, but when I followed up, they had no record of my request. I called again a week later and had to start from scratch, only for that order to also disappear from their system. Today, I took a full day off work for my installation appointment. No one showed up. No call, no notification--nothing. When I contacted customer service (again), I was told that my order had been lost for a third time. After spending over 90 minutes on the phone, they still could not schedule a new installation. At that point, I canceled my service. To add insult to injury, they charged me a $50 equipment return processing fee after all of this. I cancelled my service today due to a competitor offering a better speed & pricing. Cancellation with Frontier took about 17 minutes, which was ok as I understood they would try to sell me another plan with 'better' pricing. However, I still cancelled and they are charging me what was explained to me as a standard $50 for shipping and handling for me to return my equipment...when other companies offer free drop off at the end of service! For this reason alone I would not recommend Frontier. I will go to my socials and spread the word of this $50 fee when Frontier has already collected thousands from me over the years. read more

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE! First, just realize you're going to be hit with a $50 "restocking fee" if you ever cancel your service with this garbage entity. Additionally, outside of starting your service, good luck getting anyone on the phone to communicate your troubles with. They've designed the customer service experience to be as painful as possible. In the summer of 2025, I was getting disconnected around 8-10 times a day. When I called Frontier to resolve the disconnection issue, instead of trying to solve the problem, they encouraged me to pay for this "unbreakable" product, which is third party to Frontier. This tells you how little confidence they have in their own service, and the lack of willingness to resolve any issues. I was regularly overcharged, and spent countless hours waiting on the phone to fix all the billing issues they produced. I regularly received inconsistent answers from their staff, and would subsequently discover what they had assured me wasn't true. I finally cancelled my service in December of 2025, and after waiting 2 hours to speak to a supervisor, I was promised I'd receive a $70 credit for my final bill (essentially cancelling out the absurd 'restocking fee' and a previous billing issue--which they admitted to). I was sent a qr code to return the products, which didn't work the first time, so I had to call again in January, which resulted in a valid qr code. So, the first time, I wasted 20 minutes and my gas money going to UPS for no reason because they sent me an invalid code. In January 2026, I received a weird bill around $19, and after inquiring about the charge, the employee assured me it was my last bill and it was due to the credit. It wasn't (this would be lie #7000). At the time, the charge made no sense, both logically and mathematically, but I decided to wait and see. The following month, I noticed a charge of $124 was taken out of my account--two months after I had cancelled my account. After going through the painful process of trying to speak to someone within their company, I finally got ahold of a rep from their team. I explained that I had cancelled my account in December, and I was provided a credit by their supervisor. Much to my surprise, even though they had the information in front of them, the rep quizzed me on why I received the credit in the first place (he later claimed it was for confirmation purposes. Are you kidding me?). He then proceeded to tell me that the credit wasn't approved, even though it was a supervisor who initially provided it. Not to mention, the previous month, their rep told me the credit was applied to the supposed "final bill." Furthermore, they told me that I didn't cancel until January 19th--the day that I contacted them about the invalid QR code for the return. Additionally, this was the same day their employee told me the credit had been applied to my final bill due to the cancellation. I'm supposedly going to have the credit injected back into my account within 72 hours, although I'm very skeptical it'll happen. Nothing they say can be taken seriously. They technically owe me money because I paid a bill in january that wasn't even valid, and then received a another bill in Feburary--2 months after I had cancelled my account. I didn't even bother pursuing the January bill because it's clear it will only confuse these leeches and lead to more troubles. To conclude, this is a wildly incompetent company that operates on a seemingly dishonest level. They are a parasite and cancer to anyone who wishes to do business with them. I can only assume they habitually lie to customers due to the amount of false answers I received. Just realize that you'll receive garbage service if you subscribe with them, and if you ever try to leave, they'll keep billing you, even though their own notes contradict their actions. I look forward to reading Frontier's copy-and-paste response, which will undoubtedly be void of any substance whatsoever, and offer no solutions to the problems outlined (and money I'm owed). Hello Frontier Support Team, I am extremely frustrated with the level of service I have received over the past 24 hours. My internet service went out last night. Since then, I have rebooted my equipment multiple times and attempted to contact Frontier for troubleshooting and support. I have called over 10 different Frontier phone numbers and spent more than 2.5 hours trying to reach a live agent, with absolutely no success. Each time, I am routed to the same automated system, which is not listening to my responses and is completely ignoring my requests. The system repeatedly schedules technician appointments during my work hours, despite me clearly stating that I need appointments Monday-Friday after 5:00 PM or on the weekend. I am not willing to take time off work to wait for a technician, and I should not have to. To make matters worse, I cannot even modify the appointment because the automated system does not allow it. My only options appear to be canceling the appointment or keeping one that I cannot attend. This is unacceptable. What is most concerning is that I cannot speak to a live person at all. If Frontier cannot handle something as basic as troubleshooting internet service and scheduling a reasonable technician visit, that is a serious issue. At this point, I need one of the following to happen immediately: 1. A live agent contacts me to troubleshoot my internet and schedule a technician after 5:00 PM or on the weekend, or 2. I will need to cancel my account, as this level of customer service is not acceptable. Please contact me as soon as possible to resolve this. Internet was out for 3 days in December, 2 hrs with tech support and they were going to send a modem. Internet came back on and modem never came. January out again for a day 2 hrs with tech support, said a modem was coming. It came a week later. A week later it went out again for 3 days. I changed to Spectrum. I called Frontier to cancel my father's internet service because he was moved into hospice and the representative tried to sell me on transferring his account to a friend or family member at a better price than he was paying. Then the representative wouldn't cancel the account until she went through several attempts to keep his account at a lower rate 1 month at $49. I kept telling her that he was dying and that he didn't live at that address anymore. When I asked to speak with her supervisor she couldn't find one and told me that she received a message back that I would need to provide a mailed copy of my power of attorney to Frontier to cancel this account. We have a confirmation # from the initial request and now am unable to get out of their menu and reach a person when we made a follow up call.
