I was excited to hear that a coffee shop was open in Beacon Hill. It's bright, spacious and they have outdoor seating. The staff seemed preoccupied the day we stopped in. We didn't order any, but the baked goods looked tasty. They serve Stumptown Coffee. I had an Americano and I have to say I'm not a fan of this coffee. Maybe it was the particular variety or roast? The location is convenient so I'll probably come back to try the pastries and perhaps some tea. read more

Ok, I know it's a chain - but what a perfect gem Fresh Flours is in Beacon Hill. Close proximity to the LINK station earns this location extra points. Baked goods are all so delicious. They offer yuzu and green tea flavors for macarons and delicious matcha, sesame and almond cookies. The matcha latte is great too. I didn't need to use Wifi there so I don't know about the reliability, but it seems like people were working diligently while I was there so I guess that's a positive too. Will be back! Their baked goods are just too delicious to resist. read more

This is just opening up and should be on the radar in a week or so. Got some macarons to nibble. Brown and red ones (yes, I should know the flavors.) Super soft and maybe a wee bit sweet. Still, we're talking goodness. They were a bit pricey, but you have to pay for goodness. read more

I come to your Beacon Hill location regularly on the weekends. 70% of the time that I come you are out of ham and cheese croissants. Today I came at 9:30 AM. I wonder if your employees are telling you that you always run out of ham and cheese croissants. When I am able to get one, I am always buying the last one. What can I say... Get the Azuki red bean croissant. It's seriously one of the best croissants I've had in my life, and I eat a lot of croissants. The red bean and the croissant just works. The powder sugar on the outside of the croissant adds a delicious sweetness to the croissant when you bite in and haven't hit the red bean goodness yet. The red bean is sweet, but not overly sweet where you have to sip coffee to prevent sugar overload. I wish we had this croissant in Boston. Boston has a lot of bakeries, but no croissant can even compare. Heck, I like this croissant more than the ones I've had in France. I bought one Azuki red bean croissant to-go before leaving Seattle, but I'm scared that it's not enough. As I'm on my way to the airport, I'm seriously scared that I'll regret not buying 5 of these to-go. read more

New bakery and coffee shop on Beacon Hill. They have two other locations. This weekend was their soft opening and thus far we gave enjoyed their Stumptown espresso and all but two of their macaroon flavors. Best so far? Yuzu, no question. The location has lots of windows some indoor seating and hopefully outdoor too. I'll update as we eat our way through the offerings. Off to a great start and glad to have them in neighborhood! I just ordered a machiatto and asked for some extra foam. I wanted a couple more spoons of foam after getting my drink. He simply said: "we don't have it." Then, he proceed to do a latte for the next customer. Terrible customer service for sure. Management needs to train these young baristas. Not sure o have the right to complain. Not friendly folks today. read more

A few months back, my boyfriend and I were driving towards an adventurous trip, and when we drove passed this, I told him to stop and park because I had never seen such a cute bakery! No regrets since. We came in, made conversation with the barista, and she said they had just opened. I fell in love with their macaroons, mostly their earl grey, green tea, and espresso. I always get the green tea latte because they don't over sweeten it and the matcha is always yummy, hot or cold. My boyfriend loves their sweet and savory croissants as well as their dark coffee! I stop by this Fresh Flours location at least once week, they serve some of the best pastries I have ever had. I cannot choose a favorite. They have a great variety to choose from savory pastries with egg and meat, to fruit, sweet, chocolate filled, green tea muffins, delightful lil macrons, and homemade cookies. All are high quality! The coffee served here is Stumptown, so of course that is great! One day, I tried something new, a Green Tea Latte, wow, it was silky smooth and amazing. I highly recommend this bakery coffee shop for the quality goods. A great addition located near the light rail on Beacon Hill! Note, however, it is a bit small for hanging out in to work and the seats do not seem that comfortable.. just a note to those looking for coffee shop lounging, this is more of a to-go feeling place to me. read more

What a great experience in consuming coffee/tea. Wasn't sure what to get today and the barista helped me to discover a nice beverage to explore. I love that the baristas are so skilled that they do art in latte foam. And that when you get the coffee "for here" you get a real damn cup instead of a paper cup. A+++ read more

I always go to Phinny Ridge location but I had a business nearby so I tried this one.Like other people said, they don't have much good pastries left around noon. Service was much better at Phinny Ridge,too so I just go only there now and on. Parking was nightmare,too. read more

Went here as recommended by a co-worker. I had the white chocolate mocha with soy milk. It was ok, nothing that I would return for. I asked for it extra hot and what I got was luke warm. There was not much flavor to the latte. I may try one of their different locations. I did not try any of the food items. This location is very nice, limited seating but cute inside. There is no designated parking area, so parking can be a little tough to find. read more

The pastries are good. I've enjoyed their cookies and croissants. The customer service is horrible each and every time. I live on beacon so it's close by. I now just don't expect the people working including management to be nice. I've overheard twice now someone rushing to get off and start being rude and forgetful to the customers. The Station or Victrola would be better options on beacon if you didn't want to be ignored, long wait times or simply encounter rudeness. Or travel down hill to Starbucks. Also don't ask for anything after paying or comment if something is not what you ordered because they will deep sigh and eye roll before giving it to you. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with a few friends. The indoor seating was right by the large windows, which is very nice on a sunny day. The matcha red bean muffin had a great flavour and wasn't too sweet. Also tried an earl grey macaron which I liked too. read more

Small coffee shop with very limited seating, but if you are lucky to find a place to sit, Fresh Flours is a ideal for enjoying a high quality espresso while in UBH. They use Stumptown beans/roasts and this may be why the caffeine high is clean and not too jittery. They don't have many Gluten free or vegan pastry options (if at all), and when in Seattle this seems a bit away from the norm. But, at the end of the day it's the coffee that matters and Fresh Flours makes a solid cup. read more

I'm from San Francisco and have visited Seattle a couple times last year and I stayed in the area when I was visiting and stumbled upon Fresh Flours. I got a Matcha Latte and it's the best I've ever had! I was sitting down outside enjoying the Matcha Latte and saw a sign that said "Best Matcha latte" and I agree! My second time visiting Seattle, I definitely made sure to come back here to get another! I'm planning to visit Seattle again and will definitely come back and I will recommend coming here if you're looking to enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea, it's in a very nice and quiet neighborhood and the staff here were very friendly and welcoming! read more

My daughter and I LOOOOVE this place! Thank you, FF - for bringing macarons (the best I've had in Seattle - such strong flavored!) to Beacon Hill!!!! I pretty much only do coffee at home but when getting a drink here it's the 16 oz hot chocolate with homemade whip cream. Now, pastries: I can vouch for many, many ones but my FAVORITES are the azuki green tea muffin, twice-baked chocolate almond croissant and of course macarons - especially the green tea & earl gray flavored! Service has ALWAYS been great for the 15+ times I've been here. The place is spotless, isn't crazy huge but feels very open with the chill decor & walls of window. The vibe is welcoming & warm. Aaaaand there's a pastry happy hour at 5:00pm - pastries are half off! That super seals the already awesome deal for us! Thank you, Beacon Hill Fresh Flours - we heart you! read more

Had a coworker grab me a pastry from the shop. At first I was disappointed because he just brought back a blueberry danish. However when I tried it I was blown away. Their phyllo dough is buttery, crispy and soft; they layers are separate and distinct as you bite into it. The blueberry and curd(?) was so good. Not to tart or sweet, really the perfect compliment and balance. Parking is at a premium here so be prepared to walk a little bit but totally worth it. read more

i've been to both locations and realized i have never reviewed this place, which deserves all 5 stars and maybe more. great, friendly staff, nice ambiance, plenty of tables inside and out, wifi and really unique baked goods and drinks to choose from. what else could you want? i just had their new tumeric chai over ice and it was so good, i will be back, probably to the location closer to my house, for another one. they have drink cards and restrooms and comfortable spaces at both locations. if you want a unique place to work or hang out, someplace that isn't the corporate owned green logo on every street corner here in the emerald city, come here. i think you'll be happy you did. read more

Cute and cozy little bakery. The coffee is extremely bitter and just very bad tasting. Other than the twice baked almond crossaint(which is smaller than other places), all of the other pastries were not good at all. I especially dislike their matcha green tea muffin. Someone hyped it up so I was so excited to try it only to be disappointed. read more

I visited for the first time today and thought it was great. It's a bit on the pricey side, but certainly no more than Bakery Nouveau, and I have to say I like the feel of Fresh Flours better. It doesn't feel as gentrified, and the service is, in my opinion, a lot friendlier than either of the Bakery Nouveau locations that I have visited. So, on to the pastry. I love that they have red bean items, green tea items and a great selection of gluten free pastry. But alas, I tend to err on the safe side when it comes to pastry. I tried the chocolate macarons and the almond pretzel. Both were excellent. Coffee was also good. If I lived or worked on Beacon Hill I would for sure become a regular here. It has that friendly neighborhood vibe that is appealing. read more

Cute spot in the up and coming Beacon Hill area. When I was still in my moving state and figuring out where to live, I came by here for a London Fog latte and Green tea muffin. The crowd was a mix of the elderly and 20 something year olds. I believe there's free wifi here so you can get some work done if you wanted to. The green tea muffin was pretty good. It came with azuki beans. The latte was decent as well. Not sure when I'll be back in this area again but it's certainly a hidden gem in the neighborhood! read more

Great coffee, great daylight, lots of pastry options. Plentiful electrical outlets too, and Indy music. On a Sunday morning there were lots of young white families and dudes sipping espresso next to their very expensive bikes after a morning ride. I don't like that this place competes with The Station, just on the other side of the light rail station. This place is a gentrifier. read more

I've been here three times so far. I"m glad to see new businesses open up on Beacon Hill, but I wish that this particular one wasn't so pedestrian. To start, the staff still seems to be be, at the very best, finding their way. I've experienced consistently long wait times for basic drinks, and each time I've found myself having to clarify repeatedly the type of drink and size. When I finally got the drinks, the best thing that I could say was that they were pro forma. They are starting with a good base in Stumptown, but to be honest I've had as good from Starbucks. Then there are their baked goods. I'm not one for macaroons; I prefer croissants I've tried both the regular and chocolate, and found both to be slightly overbaked and lacking that essential buttery flakiness that I look for. Lastly, there are the breakfast sandwiches. I'm not sure where they get them from, but if the Lumberjack is any indication, there are better suppliers out there. The Lumberjack came across as being bready and bland. I understand that Fresh Flours may not make these sandwiches, but they do choose to carry them. On the plus side, the cafe itself is nice and airy and fairly comfortable to be in. I'm hoping that during the warmer months they choose to offer outdoor seating. I also hope that they choose to follow the examples of The Station and Victrola and not be just another northend cafe clone, but become a part of the community that's larger than the apartment building over their heads. read more

Coffee is decent, never bitter or anything I just don't think I'm a fan of their roast. But I do lovelovelove their pastries. Green tea muffin and pound cake are a must try. It's nice to finally have macarons without having to go downtown. And oh Pastry Happy Hour. Half off all remaining pastries an hour before closing. Enough said. read more

The soy latte was not bad. They use pacific soy milk, but the espresso shot seemed weak and overly floral (not sure what type of beans/roast they use). The almond croissant was decent, but not as good as French Bakery or Bakery Nouveau. It had very little filling. The blue berry muffin was good; nice and moist without being overly sweet. The outdoor seating is great on a sunny day like today, and we will be back to try some of their Japanese inspired baked goods. It is great to have another option on BH, but I can't shake the feeling that more and more I am becoming a stranger in my own neighborhood. I suppose that's economics for ya - take the good with the bad. read more

As someone who's gluten-free, macarons are one of the few desserts I can enjoy safely, so when I come across a great batch like this, I have to indulge! The cashier was super friendly and even offered food recommendations, which I appreciated. Service was as sweet as the macarons. The ambiance was nice. It was clean, organized, and nicely decorated.

The inside is a very creamy filling that squished out on the sides as I bite down. Everyone has their own texture preferences. I personally like it less creamy. I had a friend gathering to go to the same night, and wanted to bring some desserts so this place came to mind. For it being very wet and rainy, this place feels like a nice relief from all that with the bright lighting and the cafe-like feel of the place. There's a grassy wall near the back for photo ops, and there are some tables, window seating and front couch seating. They don't only sell macarons here; there's also coffee, tea, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. I got a baker's dozen, which comes with 12 randomly assorted regular-sized macarons in a small container. This particular one came with three limited flavors: red velvet, cran-orange and a pear-like flavor. They were marked separately on a card provided with the box that shows all their regular offerings of macaron flavors. This came to $36 compared to $40 for the same number of macarons if you wanted to choose specifically which flavors you wanted instead. I also got myself a Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich; each one is prepackaged and $8. Both people working at the counter were extremely helpful in helping me decide what to get, and explaining the differences between both sets. Flavor wise, I was not disappointed: - My Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich hit the spot! The macarons did not come apart too easily and I could still maintain the shape of the sandwich throughout. Ice cream consistency is great, and the Thai tea flavor is not too strong. The whole thing is not too sweet by itself either, and this goes for all of their macarons in general. From other visits to their stand during conventions, I recommend their Cap'n Crunch berry, lemon, peach and durian flavors for ice cream sandwiches. - One of my friends and I loved the Vietnamese coffee flavored macaron. Taste is strong like phin-brewed coffee and it didn't have much sweet of a taste, something that would not have done well for this flavor. - The cran-orange and blueberry flavors were our other favorites; both had tastes that reminded me a lot of their respective flavors. - The box also had dark chocolate, vanilla, ube, Thai tea, pistachio and salted caramel flavors. All were decent and tasty. What I like about this place is that the taste for all of their macarons is exactly as advertised and never bogged down by the flavor that macaron shells are usually full of. I can't eat too many of these at once since they can be too sweet over time, so I would save these for a group setting where you can share these. By themselves, they are a great way to get your sweet tooth the love it needs!

Some of the flavors are so delish (chocolate and s'mores), while others are just meh (mint chocolate for example). The mint chocolate was a little too toothpastey, while the animal circus cookie was way too sweet. Maybe I'm just used to the ginormous Disneyland macarons, and I have no sense to what they're really supposed to taste like. Who knows...lol! For the most part, Lady Yum macarons are very tasty. There are still more flavors to try in the big box we got, so I'm sure there will be more than just chocolate and s'mores that I love...lol! On a side note, these cute little delicacies are quite expensive, so be prepared. I think our box was about $70.
