We live in walking distance to the French Corner, so we come here often with our 2 dogs. The seating is all outdoors, along the Coast Hwy, about 7 tables and very beach-casual. No problem bringing your dog, and there is always a water bowl out. We are very particular about what food we will eat and what restaurants we'll frequent. We completely trust this fabulous oh-so-French bistro. Obviously the baked goods are tres magnifique, as other reviewers have pointed out. Even though we would love to eat even more of the croissants and baguettes, we do try to hold down the wheat consumption. I usually order a baked tomato that is stuffed with ground meat and onions. They serve it with a small piece of bread. Very filling. My husband usually orders one of the quiches. Again, very filling because the quiche is so creamy and egg-rich. Food and coffee are always amazing. We keep coming back because there almond milk cappuccino is the best. The service not so good. I don't mind the long wait for good food and coffee but they have gotten our order wrong on several occasions and today we waited 25 minutes for our avocado toast. When we finally got it they only charged us for one order. I was told they would make me another one but I had to get back in the long line to pay for it. To me that is poor customer service. Make another one and if you must charge me certainly don't make me wait in line again. We left with our coffees and one order of avocado toast. What happened to this place? The food is still pretty good, but the service is now terrible. Last time we were there, there was absolutely not one customer and it took 40 minutes to get teo sandwiches. Time before that, got there an hour before they closed and they told us it was too late to get a crepe??? I think the point of the restaurant is to serve food, so perhaps it's better if you serve food all the way up until the time you close. This place used to be really good, hope they can get their act together soon before they lose other customers, because we won't be going back. read more

Wife was born and raised in the south of France and found the menu and flavor to be pretty close to home... The bill was $24, not a value meal considering it's almost cafeteria style and the seating is all on the sidewalk. I'd probably go back on a slower day, maybe mid-week.... The layout of the store is challenging - the line to order is right at the only door and folks are trying to get in and out, plus the coffee fixin's are just inside the door... There are also pretty good French cafe's that offer competition. St Tropez at the Lumberyard is similarly priced, has a more robust menu, and has much better seating including a sidewalk patio. Probably the best crepe I have ever had, a simple one with vanilla sugar and lemon juice and a small amount of whipped cream. Texture was perfect in between slightly chewy and soft. The brightness and acidity of the lemon juice soaked into the crepe itself along with just the right balance of vanilla sugar. Food is tasty but I wouldn't say there's anything special or outstanding about it. Food is kinda expensive given the small portion sizes. For example the barista asked me if I wanted a small or large cappuccino & I said large but when it came it was A. not a cappuccino & B. did not look like a size large. Absolutely incredible food and service. I would recommend the breakfast sandwich alongside a cup of French Roast. The service was perfect. For example: I was waiting in line to order I noticed a disgruntled customer treating an employee very poorly. The employee did an excellent job of helping fix the issue even though it was very trivial and most rational people wouldn't have had the same issue. This was our first time trying French Corner and we were all blown away. We all said, "This is the best______ I've ever had," about literally everything we ordered. It was an A+ meal, nothing was average, even though it was a 20 minute ride to bring the food home. I do not know what kind of sorcery the chef practices here, but I think I could eat their crepes every day for the rest of my life and still not get enough of them. This place is amazing. I checked their website after our lunch today and I see they cater and make PIES. I will update my review when I explore more. How have I not tried this place before today?!?! This cafe is a gem. Stepping inside you feel like you're in France...or at least what I think it would be like! Parisian music, espresso drinks, baguettes, crepes quiche, and more. Been here two times. I have a soft spot for croissants. Had one with iced tea the first time and with hot chocolate the second. The croissants, warmed up, are very good. They made a double espresso dissolved in coconut oil called "Bullet proof" and the results were unbelievable, not only is it super healthy thanks to the coconut oil but also the espresso was not a jolt of super caffeinated heroin, it was a pleasant and gentle kick, honestly that was incredible, I want my coffee like this every morning.
