This is a gem! My family was visiting from LA to check out the flower fields and I made a reservation for 12 people at 11:30am. They were very accommodating and the service once there was amazing! The inside is a small cafe but they have more seating outside with a covered tent so you don't have to worry about rain or wind. The food was DELICIOUS! Everyone loved their order and we can't wait to go back! A few Menu items that were ordered and highly recommend: vanilla lattes, crunch French toast, breakfast sandwich croissant, traditional Benedict, steak sandwich, strawberry Nutella crepe, and B.Y.O.O. Wow, what a wonderful French Bistro Restaurant in Carlsbad. We remember this business from its Encinitas days. They moved to this location around 2022. The ambiance here is TOTALLY CLASSY FRENCH! Upon entering, you feel like you are in a Paris Bistro. The decor is fabulous and wonderful. The patio is well designed as well. Our hostess was very attentive and she had excellent customer service. We ordered: Pear, Fig, & Arugula Flatbread appetizer to share, 1 Beef Bourguignon, 1 Chicken Pesto Panini on Ciabatta, 1 Protein Shake, and 1 Mango Nectar "French Juice". Adorable!! Tiny on the inside beautiful little patio on the outside. Not a lot of seating so either make a reservation or come at a non-busy time. We wanted something simple so my brother got the acai bowl and I got the yogurt bowl. Both were pretty good quantities and filled us up. The staff was over the top nice. I ordered the BYOO, Build Your Own Omelette. The omelette included cheddar cheese, ham and red bell peppers. The BYOO comes with breakfast potatoes and a slice of toast. This breakfast is very filling and delicious. Whatever didn't get eaten at the restaurant got eaten at home later. The omelette was delicious and the breakfast potatoes were warm and crispy and the slice of toast was good. I received very friendly and helpful service. We came at about 2pm on a Thursday and no one was there. The patio had nice ambiance with French cafe music in the background. We didn't want to have a heavy meal but we were hungry, so we shared a French onion soup and a Miss Cannes crepe. The crepe is chicken and mushroom with sauce and cheese and both were yummy! What a fabulous restaurant! Today was my first visit, and what a wonderful experience it was. I ordered a cappuccino, which was absolutely delicious, along with the avocado toast topped with a scrambled egg. My friend ordered the frittata, and it was equally delicious. Our waiter, Tate, deserves five stars for his knowledge of the menu, attentiveness, and kindness. He made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We had a brunch at this place with our friend's family after an Easter event nearby. This place is very cute - a nice Frenchy spot. The foods here are nice, the portion is a little small than I expected. Because it is kinda pricey. The down side of this place is their extra charge on salad which I thought it's supposed to come with the entree that said on menu. Also my friend wants a very small side of Parmesan for little kid. I used to love this place but I've gone a few times trying to love it again and left disappointed. Today in ordered eggs Benedict and it was cold and muffin was soggy. This a cute little cafe it was conveniently located near our hotel while on mini vacation in SanDiego for 4th of July celebrations yes I was supposed to do this way back ......... anyways it's a wonderful place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch . Coffee was delicious and pastries were fresh and delicious as well. We also tried the crepe which was a reasonable size could be bigger but it was cooked properly and filling was very tasty. High expectations, low returns with our pasties here. Not a real extensive choice. They do have three meal a day menu so can't speak to that from our stop. But the blueberry scone-my DW favorite-was either so old or so overbaked as to be pronounced the driest she'd ever had. Could not enjoy at all. My choice of a raspberry Danish had a nice moist pastry and the filling tasted like raspberry, but I do not believe a fresh raspberry ever saw it. Most likely from a can. I did eat all of it though. For info, this review is for the espresso only as that is all I tried from this establishment: I should have known to immediately ask for my money back when I saw them using a Keurig instead of the espresso machine on the counter. How on earth they charge close to $8 for a triple shot of this is completely beyond me. It is hands-down the very worst espresso I have ever had. If anyone from L'atlier de Paris reads this, please do something about this or just don't serve espresso at all. Amazing little gem my niece and I found on our last trip to Carlsbad. The most incredible thing about this restaurant is the service and how they are willing to work with food allergies. My Sweet AND SAVORY salad had numerous slimy leaves, chicken was way over done. Hibiscus tea was still really bitter even after 2 bags of sugar (I never put sugar in my tea). They replaced it with black tea which was good. iced tea was $5, no refills. Her BLT on ciobatta bread was very dry, over cooked. meager amount of bacon on it. I have been here many times in the past and it was good but the last couple of times it really fell short. Nice outdoor covered patio, very little seating inside. Dog friendly.
