I love desserts so I am always excited to try new places. This place has a variety of desserts and pastries. We tried a muffin, a fruit tart and the chocolate dessert in the picture. The muffin didn't taste fresh and the pastries on display also looked stale. The fruit tart was ok and the chocolate dessert was tasty but it costs $11 so I am not sure it's worth the price tag.

Oui! Oui! Oui! C'est super, c'est délicieux! This is exactly what this area has been missing, an outstanding French bakery and café. My better half has been picking up pastries here since they opened, and l've been consistently impressed by the quality. I finally stopped in myself this week and was absolutely delighted. The space is spotless, with a lovely outdoor seating area and one of the most beautiful pastry displays I've seen locally. I ordered a generous assortment of both refrigerated and baked pastries, and every single one was exquisite. The service was warm, friendly, and patient as I lingered...oohing and admiring every creation behind the glass. This place already feels like the start of a long, happy weekly ritual. In addition to the pastries, they offer a fantastic breakfast and lunch menu, excellent coffee, and even wine. Comme on dit en France : la vie est trop courte pour se priver de bonnes pâtisseries-life is too short to deny yourself great pastries!

Been a few times now. Our favs are the apple tart, the chocolate eclairs and the raspberry mousse cake...amazing. All we're not overly sweet. They also offer breakfast/lunch items. Ordered an omelette and it was delicious. Easy parking in lot. You can dine in or out on the patio.

INCREDIBLE cake! Love their tart too, honestly wanted to try everything. It is tucked away so I wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't looking for it but it is in a very calm/peaceful area. The staff was super friendly and helpful with flavor suggestions. Definitely will be returning to try some other pastries!

I was looking for a new place to have breakfast and saw this Bakery Cafe next to restaurants we frequent when in town. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. There were so many beautiful pieces of art (pastries) behind the counter that I'm sure we'll be back regularly for coffee and pastry to go. We ordered... Mediterranean omelette with taters. Crepes with Grandmanier infused cream Latte (hot and cold) Everything was delicious. My husband and I shared the food. It was a nice combination of savory and sweet. The decor is modern. Seating inside and outside. (Although they should water the plants outside). Restroom was unisex and clean. Looking forward to trying the pastries. Will definitely be getting some for my tea parties or get togethers.

The well-loved French Bakery from Carlsbad Village opened up their new location near Bressi! It's a quiet location (at least on the Sunday morning we went on) with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating plus a large parking lot. Friendly staff as always, yummy cakes and paninis, and a relaxing atmosphere. I love the ambiance here, and can see it as a great place to catch up with loved ones or even get some work/study done :)

Pretty Good The crepes are well done and the panini was quite delicious. It's a good place for lunch.

Adorable place to come get an organic coffee and delightful treats. Kinda hidden but worth the trip.

This was a big hit with our family for Easter. Everyone loved trying all the flavors and loved them all. Fun conversation piece as well.

Very beautiful pastries! Although I have to confess my apple tart would have been better a bit warmer. It was really cold. Good coffee too. I was working in the area and stopped by to check Bressi French because wanted to see if it was really French and was just around the corner doing some work. Very nice girls explaining the variety of things they serve (also food and wines, not only pastries and coffee). Space is big, with inside and outside seating. And yes, croissants for life!

This is our go-to place for birthday cakes and special pastries. We love their Chocolate Mousse Cake with and without strawberries. And their Spinach Feta pastries make an incredible breakfast or snack. Haven't picked a bad individual pastry or fruit tart either. We like to get an assortment and cut them into several pieces so everyone can try a bite of each type! They also have a lovely patio area with a fire pit. It's a nice place to get a coffee and a quick bite in the morning.

We arrived at French Pastry Cafe on a cloudy Sunday morning, and ordered at 10:57am. First one nice guy helped us with our order. Another gal came to help, so we mentioned we were being helped by him. It was unclear that they were both trying to help us. My bf went to sit at a table, to avoid the issues ordering two meals to eat here and two desserts to go. They apparently were both helping us, we finally understood. One gal said my bf stormed off, but he just walked off to get a table. My bf ordered the Orange Grand Marnier sweet crepes. About 10 minutes later, the staff came to us & told us they ran out of the custard to make this crepe and asked him what else he wanted. They did not bring a menu in hand, but he ordered the Banana Nutella Crepes. Another 5 to 8 minutes later, they again came and told us that they didn't have the ingredients to make this crepe, either. So another crepe was ordered. We waited 30 minutes for our food in total. They offered us a free dessert to accommodate our inconvenience. When we got the food, the staff lady said, and this is a quote, "You want us to refund you and take your crepes back? We can do that, too." She was most unpleasant. It is easy to be rude. It takes effort to communicate with customers and seem sympathetic. The one staff gal needs better respect and communication skills. Our food arrived at 11:28am. We will not be ordering food to eat here again. We will probably come for their $8-10 desserts and order them to go. Our food was not hot when served, but warm.

    Orange cake

I absolutely loved the orange cake! My coffee was delish as well! My savory crepe was a bit bland but still delicious. I will be going back for sure!

What a great spot across from my hotel. Coffee was good and many made item options. Visited twice and both time satisfied.

I ordered the Tombstone which is their Western cheeseburger, Two 1/4 lb. patties, bacon, grilled onion, cheddar cheese, AHB BBQ Sauce, topped with onion rings on a brioche bun with a side of onion rings. I was soooo excited about the Philly connection, as I'm very familiar with cheesesteaks having lived near Philly in a past life. Well, I was sorely disappointed. We were told that the bread is flown in daily from Philly. Well, I don't know where it's coming from because it's definitely not the same bread as what they normally use there. The sandwich and meat were dry and flavorless. Totally underwhelming unfortunately. So then we saw that they made key lime pie there too! Again, I was SUPER excited because key lime pie is my favorite dessert of all time. And again...disappointment. I took one glance and saw that it was light green in color and knew I was gonna be mad. Yall, Key lime pie is yellow. You should NEVER add food coloring. That's just gross and inaccurate. The texture and flavor were also off. Texturally it was way too thick and dense, which would have been fine if it actually tasted like key lime. But it was severely lacking in that tart key lime flavor that it's known for. I'd definitely go back because of the service and vibe. But I'll maybe try a burger and the cheesecake instead.

I get that smash burgers are all the rage these days, but if a burger patty spends as much time on the second side as it did on the first, it's not crustified; it's as tough and juiceless as jerky. an abundance of aging primals are on display at the WISE OX. when they're cut into steaks, the trimmings are ground for burgers. a not-particularly-wise cow died for our sins (so said the family's vegan son who begged off lunch). honor that and cook the meat properly. to not do so is beyond sacrilegious. if I told the meat cutter (aka the "butcher") I was going to use the dry-aged Rib Eyes or New Yorks he'd just carved up to make jerky, he'd be horrified. so, why isn't he raging at the guy on the grill doing that to our burgers? the BEEF FAT FRIES (aka Tallow Fried Fries) still have great flavor, but are still way, way, way too salty. check the photo, and count the visible salt crystals if your cardiologist's on speed dial.

Really? Or even more depending where you go. Frankly I don't know how anyone can afford it any longer but that's a different story. The new owners still don't even seem to know what they are doing after I would say 3yrs now, maybe even more since taking over this place. I used to love going here, now I go maybe once every 3 months if even that and I know why. The service is not the same, the owners are clueless and the food doesn't taste the same at all. The atmosphere of feeling like you are at home when most everyone but mostly the owner remembered you, would come talk to you, helped you and knew what she was taking about, is all gone. I was there yesterday for one of my favorite sandwiches, meatball sandwich. I like that the meatballs are small, not a size of a baseball or even larger, just perfect size, tasty etc. I go up to the register and instead of his clueless wife when you ask her a question and she looks at you as if you're from another planet then has to go and ask one of her employees which that in itself looks totally bad, this time was her husband who looks to me for now the 4th time through the year I visited, that should just stick to staying in the gym since he looks like someone that takes care of himself that way, quite fit, and although nothing at all with that, perhaps leave the deli part of it to someone else and go back to working out instead, it seems his forte. When I told him the sandwich I wanted, he clearly said to me "what would you like with the sandwich" a question I was never asked before because it simply came with a small bag of chips or pasta salad, so I asked what did the sandwich come with, "it comes" the word that he used "it comes with", not "extra charge" and he mentioned French fries, bag of chips while he pointed where the chips were, pasta salad. I said, "I'll try the French fries". Not ONE TIME he said to me that none of the items he mentioned to me were extra charge, I even told him, "oh they come with all that you just told me"? He said yes. When I paid the total came to $24 dollars, the sandwich itself was $13.65 and a coke that I ordered was $3, how did it get to $24? Well, the French fries were extra cost. Had I chosen a bag of chips, the once he pointed at were also extra charge just like if I ordered pasta salad, I found out about the extra charge from the lady that brought me the sandwich and I asked why my bill was $24 dollars, SHE, not the owner told me about the extra charges. After I said to her, "why didn't or doesn't the owner tell you so instead of saying that these extras come with the sandwich" she looked at me and said "I don't know". She didn't even know however any of the prices of the sandwich they sell. These are the new employees now. I know you are going to think why I didn't ask right away why my bill was $24 dollars. I didn't even think about it immediately, I was hungry at this point, the place was quite busy and I wanted to find a place to sit, no excuse, but didn't think about it right away. Not until I set down and then started thinking about why my bill was higher. That was my fault. I should have immediately asked and actually I should have gone to the owner afterwards and mentioned to him that he should tell the customers correctly, meaning do NOT SAY "IT COMES WITH" that means IS NOT EXTRA CHARGE. He needs to say that wherever we want with it, there is an extra, then up to the customer if he/she wants it or not. The sandwich did not taste like the way it used to taste, meatballs still small but they were very salty, and the fries although I will say cooked pretty nice, crispy and all, a very small portion and also very salty. Overall and sadly for me because I truly liked this place a lot with the previous owner, it's not a place I would go back to. The prices are as high and now higher than any other place nowadays, nothing spectacular, their bakery department is now very limited, used to be huge and very nice selections, they used to have a pastry chef in the back that made the best deserts, and I don't know if they also changed cook, but nothing tastes the same. The place is always very busy, so I am sure I won't be missed, I won't waste my money here again. The new owners should by now know what they sell, know how to interact with customers better, know the job they took over. The owners before were absolutely wonderful and great to talk to, they would interact with you ask you if everything was ok, great service from the staff. I miss them and the new owners really need to step up, it's time. The place also very dirty on floors, tables, trash cans totally disgusting and filthy.
