We wanted some good pancakes and didn't feel like driving far from katy so we used Google and it found this place for us. It is located in an industrial area and off the freeway. Apparently its been there for years. Plenty of parking. Looks family owned. Prices are perfect especially if you have large families. You walk up to counter to order and food comes out quick. Pancakes were AMAZING! Omelets and chicken and waffles were good. We didn't like the savory drizzle on chicken and waffle though. Customer service was mediocre. They spoke. They helped, but nothing that will make you rave about the service. Will definitely return.
On my work break I decided to tap in with Freddys Cafe ! It's been a hot minute since I've came here & it is definitely a little gem in Katy. I stopped by Freddy's around 11am, feeling like treating myself to something hearty. I went with the Double Angus Beef Burger and fries, and I have to say, the freshness of the food was on point, I was blown away. The burger was a beast -- two thick, juicy patties cooked to perfection, with a beautiful sear on the outside that locked in all the rich, savory flavors. I was saying "damn" literally after ever bite! The bun was soft and lightly toasted, holding everything together like a pro. The fries were golden, hot, and perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of crispiness. The fries were some real fresh cut Idaho potatoes. They paired perfectly with the burger, making the whole meal feel satisfying and complete. Since it was still early in the day, I decided to go with a Freddy's orange juice. I'm not sure if it was house-made, but it tasted like it. Hella fresh, with a vibrant, natural sweetness that hit the spot. The only downside for me was the customer service. It took a good minute for someone to acknowledge me and take my order, even though I was standing right there and clearly visible to the staff. They weren't busy at all when I came in, as you can see from the photos and videos I took. It was a bit frustrating, but once they did engage, they were friendly enough. Fresh food fasho!

The food was really good, I normally don't care for fried potatoes but I could not get enough! The employees were nice, it is counter service so everything is made to order. Def give this place a try :) Note: we did not order it but we saw the chicken and waffles at another table and the plate was huge! Good for 2 to share.
Large selection and food is plentiful. You're not going to get a skimpy sandwich here that's for sure. They make everything to order. Note that breakfast ends by 10:30am.
It's a cozy place with well seasoned good food, good choices, and excellent service with friendly faces. French toast butter is awesome. We'll be back for sure. Place is easily accessible, got a ramp for people with disability, fair amount of parking spaces.
Showed up at 10:34a. Four minutes after breakfast ended. I asked if we could still order breakfast. They asked what we were ordering and they said yes! Tastes really good and oh my great service. Can't wait to go back.

The service was counter but when we asked for extra butter, etc, the woman behind the counter was very friendly and accommodating. Their salsa is phenomenal, really reasonable prices for this economy, and I'll definitely be back soon!!!

In the area on business and decided to stop for lunch. We didn't know what to do when we first came in but figured it out by walking to the back corner and seeing the long counter. Perhaps we missed signage at the front that indicated procedure. I ordered a Reuben with onion rings and hubby got a fish sandwich with fries (lunch special). The fish was flounder and beer battered. It's on a toasted bun with shredded lettuce, pickles, mayonnaise, and cheese. Fries were fresh cut. Both were very tasty. Only thing I would have done was squeeze lemon on and salt the fish. Ruben sandwich was FULL of corned beef on beautifully crispy rye bread with thousand island dressing and sour kraut as well as Swiss cheese. The onion rings were PERFECT! Crispy without the onions being burnt. Totally would go here again! Would love to try other menu items. Sad it's an hour drive from my house.

It came with a buttload of fries that Gordon Ramsey himself would be proud of. Can't forget the sriracha tartar sauce Update: The food was so good, I came back the next day and head the best pork chop sandwich I've ever had in my entire life. It was not only massive, but it was perfectly cooked and so tender. I can't recommend this place enough.

Solid 4, everything is made to order if you dont call ahead for the order. We waited about 10 min, not bad at all. I had the regular taco as the cashier misunderstood me. I asked for the three meat burrito and then she asked me what meats. I was confused and said one sausage and one bacon, so pay attention to what you're ordering. That being said, both tacos were really good. The person eating with me had the two egg plate, eggs cooked perfectly over medium, bacon crispy, and papa's were pretty crispy too, with toast. Worth the stop for sure. read more

I ordered two $2.99 sausage egg and cheese breakfast tacos and a cup of coffee. I had no idea and the menu does it tell you this, but then they proceeded to "up-sell" me the cheese, the sausage, and the Pico by adding $3.50 to my bill. I probably wouldn't have minded had they forewarned me, but when they do this without telling you, it kind of ticked me off. So I definitely would not eat there again and it is no surprise the place was empty when I went in there. I guess they need the money. read more

The food was okay can definitely use more seasonings. I think the price for the quesadillas were too much for the amount you get and the wrap was mainly lettuce only and a splash of dressing. read more
After my walk, I needed some gains and this was the most disappointing breakfast! Food took quite awhile to get delivered but I didn't mind the wait but the food itself was what bothered me. Don't be fooled buy the picture! Haha I just have a really good camera phone & lighting! The breakfast croissant was okay. It came like warm and extremely soggy. I had to put it in toaster oven to make it look lively again. Haha but I've talk taste wasn't bad. Just your typical breakfast croissant. The 3 meat taco was absolutely inedible! Well at least to my taste. The taco itself was overwhelmingly mushy! Literally everything was over scrambled and looks unappetizing! The tortillas was soggy and couldn't even be lifted up. Had to use a fork to cut into it. Ate a few bites and gave up. The taco was very under seasoned and yeah. Bleh. Not my flavor. I really didn't enjoy my breakfast at all. So probably would never order again! read more

I'm a little late on this review but wanted to make sure I gave it the review it deserved . My husband and I found this spot just by looking online for a little hole in the wall type of place . The place isn't huge and it was definitely popping at lunch time . I decided to try their special which was chicken fried steak with a cheese queso gravy and mashed potato's . First time ever having chicken fried steak .. it was amazing . The plate size was big and worth the money . The food was delicious and it has set my chicken fried expectations high for other places . The place was the clean and the lady at the front was super sweet and helpful . Definitely worth trying out . read more

When we first walked in to this tiny diner in the middle of the energy corridor, we didn't think we would be that impressed. Sort of non-descript in decor, with the only indicator of what was to come being the front doorway covered in stickers (to me that often means good things are about to transpire). We made our way to the order counter where the orders were being yelled out to the kitchen. I got a beer battered chicken sandwich while Hubs got the special, a Cubano sandwich. When I tell you that I was unprepared ... The chicken was as large as my face. The batter was thick, as I expected for a beer batter, but not where you couldn't taste the very tender chicken within. Halfway through the meal, Hubs stole the sandwich. I finished his Cubano, which was hearty. I don't think I could have eaten the whole thing. We both got so many fries that we didn't know what to do with them. By the time we left, the line was out the door and for good reason! read more

This place is great. Customer service, food, menu, timeliness...so many good things to say about this place but I'll narrow down one. The croissant breakfast sandwich is the real MVP. This thing is underrated. When I get this for breakfast with a bottled Coke I know it's gonna be a good day. Been coming here for over a year and I know they've been there longer. Such a great breakfast / lunch spot. My pic may not do it justice but order one and you'll see..... Also honorable mention for a lighter breakfast is the "sausage biscuit only" Love ya Freddy's....keep it up!!! read more

I wanted to try something new for breakfast on my way home from the dentist. It's tucked away in a commercial park, but not too hard to find. This place caters to the local businesses for breakfast and lunch. I tried the croissant breakfast sandwich and the three meat breakfast taco. They were quick with the order and they make a mean breakfast. The place wasn't crowded, as it seems lots of businesses in the area call in their orders and come pick them up. Next time I'll try this place for lunch. read more
In a sea of Jack in the Boxes, Cracker Barrels...all the other chains..., I love a great local spot. Freddy's doesn't have too many frills. It's counter service, and they aren't winning any awards for the creativity of their menu. But they've got fresh, affordable ($25 for a big breakfast for three including a great tip) food served by personable and efficient people, and it tastes good. They serve breakfast 'til 10:30 am, and their sausage egg and cheese biscuits, bacon croissant sandwiches, and omelettes will hit that spot. The Freddy's omelette has everything you could think of in it (onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, bacon, ham, etc.) and I love that you can dress it up with all the condiments available. They give you salsa on the side, but the multiple hot sauces (including my go-to Crystal), creole seasoning, malt vinegar, and everything else will satisfy even the weirdest of palates. I must say, the potatoes are definitely not hash browns like the menu promised me, but deep fried home fries that were good enough that people kept stealing mine. I'd skip the smoothies personally, this seems more like a joint where you get things that can be made on a flat top. Final note. To the employees who may have seen me try to kiss my wife, and watched her take a hard pass...don't worry, that's just our hilarious dynamic. I hope. read more
