We came to Fountain Grill to try out a new spot for dinner. Inside, there is a bar to your left and seating along the right side of the restaurant. It is a pretty small, narrow place. We were greeted very warmly by our server. We both ordered burgers, which were delicious! The fries that come with it were super tasty. Prices were a little pricy, but typical for the area. A man (who I assume was the owner) came over and asked us if we wanted cake for dessert. I declined because I was pretty full, but he gave us a little card for a free one if we came back (which was super nice). We will be back to try that cake! read more

A healthy place to eat by Dulles airport. The staff really seemed to care about their food and provided good service. The food was simple. Had a Chimichurri steak bowl, minestrone soup, and a side of green beans. The Chimichurri sauce was lacking the right flavors and failed to bring all of the bowl ingredients together. The minestrone soup was not hearthy enough, and the green beans tasted boiled with some buttery sauce thrown on top. Overall, expensive and small portions of food. Ambiance was like most typical newer places with a clean open feeling. read more

Fresh and housemade food this good is always welcome. My family came hungry and we're so glad we did. We ordered the wings, calamari and mozzarella as starters. They were devoured before I could take any photos. Everything was fried to perfection, crispy without being greasy. The mozzarella was the star appetizer, amazing and highly recommended. We had the chicken parm sandwich, Swiss onion burger and bacon cheddar burger. Each of enjoyed our choices and shared them with each other. We oohed and aahed in between bites. My husband and I recently dined at Fountain Grill, and we had an amazing experience. From the moment we stepped through the door, we knew we were in for a treat. The food was delectable. As an appetizer, we had the chicken egg rolls which have me already planning my next visit back and the mozzarella sticks were also really good! For our main course, we both got different burgers which were both delicious but I will probably try something else next time. As a side we got the truffle fries and were impressed! For dessert, we got the banana cake to go and WOW it is so good! What really stood out to us, though, was the customer service. Everyone in there was knowledgeable and friendly, and they made sure that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. The grilled cedar-planked salmon sourced fresh from a local supplier was cooked to perfection and melted in our mouths, accompanied by tasty green beans and sweet potato fries (my wife) and buttered mash potatoes (me). The piece de resistance was the moist homemade banana cake that topped off our meal -- yum!! Two weeks ago I was using Bing Chat (GPT4) to find a new restaurant for my wife and I after 17 years of living in the area, generally exhausted from the usual but corporate places like Sweetwater Tavern or chains. I'm from the Finger Lakes in NYS and I love the French/Swiss alps and we've lived in the Yorkshire countryside of England for years. I love when people put their lifeblood and souls into their work - especially when it involves quality of life. This is the only place I've experienced this at this level in this area. Fountain Grill is a place that I rank right up there with my top 10 establishments regardless of location or price. It gets everything right and it has soul and owners/staff you want to share the experience with. The quality of ingredients and quality of preparation nail everything that matters about food and the prices aren't trying to take advantage of your high salary living in this area like everything else here - this place just wants to feed you, see you happy and see your glowing review bring in more happy folks. So, don't look at the sign and wonder what this place is- just go sit outside next to that fountain and tell them Jason and Crystal sent you and get ready to experience casual dining the only way it should be experienced - through people who love their work and love working with each other and love feeding you! 10/10 In two weeks, we've been back 7 or so times. I can't get enough. We've met the entire staff and the owners - they're all absolute gems and I consider what they're doing to be a service to the community. A few of my friends and I stopped in here Friday night. We were greeted by the nicest people working there. While we waited for a table to be cleaned off (it was busy) Kristi ( love her) asked right away if we wanted a drink while we waited. As soon as we got our drinks our table was ready. As an appetizer we tried the Boom Boom Shrimp and Chicken Egg Rolls (sooo good). As meals we ordered the ribs/mashed potatoes, steak sandwich, steak tenderloin with green beans and mashed potatoes. ALL WERE AMAZING! I'm now taking my staff this week for lunch so they can enjoy and try some other items. The owners and the staff were so attentive and so friendly, our glasses were never empty! Stopped here after visiting my Doc in the area. I was seated and had a server come to the table very quickly, I ordered ice water w a lemon which was brought to me fast. Then ordered a French dip. Was also brought to me in a very reasonable time and I found the meat to be well seasoned and very tender and flavorful and hot too.
