We then moved inside eating at a couch and table. We were spooked by the man who lives in the building across the way - he had a big Teddy Bear that he was carrying around with him. He seemed to be looking directly at us. When I say is I mean all four of us females. Recommend reservations. We loved the burgers that we ate. My 2 friends and I made reservations for 10:30pm and arrived early, and were seated immediately! The ambience of the bar was classy but also relaxed - we really enjoyed it here. We each ordered a cocktail and shared the shoestring fries, the drinks were so delicious and smooth we finished it in no time. I read some other reviews about the slightly pretentious attitude from servers, and we definitely felt that from one of them. I came to the Fog Room on my last night for a rooftop bar experience. Reservations were required and readily available as I booked one the same day for later in the evening (Thursday at 7 pm). I sat outside and enjoyed the view and weather. I had the Smoking Gun cocktail, a smoky mezcal margarita drink with a spicy kick. Part 2 of my Seattle adventures led my girls and into this roof top. The main outside sitting area views were nothing to write home about, but on the other side of the venue you had sweeping views of the bay. The main reason why I'm giving this 3 stars is because their customer service as terrible. The hostess was super helpful, but our server and his helper weren't it. Former service industry girly here, I'm super picky about customer service. It took the guy 10 minutes just to bring water! We were only able to get one beverage before last call because it was taking so long just to order. You know we love a good excuse, "I have 13 tables right now". Sir, that has nothing to do with me and my experience. We asked him to turn on the heaters since the wind was ramping up, who needs heat when the server gaslights you into believing they were already on! The hostess came to our rescue and turned on the heaters and fire pits, I know the other guests were happy about it too. When our server brought our one round of drinks I asked for our bill, which was met with a scoff! Tell me why it was still another 15 minutes before we got our checks haha. So, I was right in asking for them when I saw him. We waited another 10 minutes to pay before we walked up to the bar and asked to cash out there. Maybe it was a randomly busy night and they were indeed short staffed, then I would expect other accommodations to appease my wait. That didn't happen. I dunno, I feel like I can get better across the way at Nest. I couldn't even enjoy the vibes, not a single photo was taken! Inattentive service, was never asked for another drink (I wanted to order their Asahi draft beer) and I'm STILL waiting for bartender to cash me out, despite obviously displaying my credit card. I had a terrible experience at the fog room. We came for the good views of a rooftop bar but were seated as far away from any "rooftop view" as possible. Before being seated we asked if we could sit outside and the hostess said there was only 1 seat available outside, but "the seats are wet" so we can't actually sit there. I'm not sure why they couldn't have dried them off before but we just chose to sit inside instead. They sat us in the farthest spot from a window as possible. We were disappointed since there were 4 couch spaces with a much better view, so I politely asked a waitress if we could sit in one of them instead. She said that there was a large party coming that would take that spot (they never actually showed up, and probably didn't even exist). Another couple left that was sitting next to the window so we decided to sit in their spot. The waitress came over and said we were only allowed to sit there for 15 minutes so we enjoyed our 15 minutes and then left. The drinks and ambience were mediocre. The seats were comfortable, but the music was too loud and unbearable. The drinks were overpriced. We thought the hostess, and waitress were extremely rude and profiled us because we are young and weren't dressed like we're made of money. If this place is too fancy for people to come after spending the day at a baseball game and then walking around downtown, there should be a stated dress code. We also got charged an automatic gratuity of 20% when there was no sign and no warning. I've never seen an automatic gratuity of 20% for 2 people anywhere before. read more

Opportunity missed - the place is nice to be in - the views and decorum are nice, but the service is poor. Then again, service in Seattle seems to have a dark cloud over it, stressing the difficulty to find talent, but it doesn't excuse it. Problem with hotel bars that ride on the good will of well respected brand names (like Hilton) is they can get away with crappy service because there is a constant rotation of suckers that trust the brand of the hotel. If you want to punish yourself by spending top dollar to be treated like an inconvenience to have to serve you, this place is for you. Masochists, cucks, and chumps are the target demo here. Don't be that sucker. The moment you point out an issue (drink not made correctly, or service is too slow), you get looked at like you're walking cancer. The waiter I dealt with acted like a self entitled brat and that you were lucky to be graced with his presence, while he ignores your table and served you two screwed up two cocktails. I'm a co-owner in a service industry and would fire this brat on the spot if he worked for me. This wasn't an incident - I've been here twice - pre and post pandemic - and both times, same problem. I kept trying, emailed staff from the hotel with no response back and called. No one was able to help me. So when we checked in on Friday morning 8/7/21 I asked the front desk staff and they told me to check upstairs with the hostess. This restaurant leaves no tables for hotel guests. They don't accommodate Hilton diamond members and they are loosing lots of business turning people away! We went up to the hostess and she told us no tables available and that the bar is first come first serve but it's full so check back later. We went for a walk, came back upstairs and the hostess said sorry, still nothing - while many tables were open and available. I asked to be put on a wait list or walk in list. She said oh yeah of course and added us. Why didn't she suggest this the first time we came up?! We got a text stating it would be 15 minutes. 25 minutes later we went back up and the hostess was busy helping others but the bar was wide open so we sat down there. We never got a text saying a table was ready for us. Very frustrating "help" from the hostess. Anyways, the bartenders were super friendly and efficient. They have a huge wine, cocktail, beer list. I had two different mocktails and both were Devine! My fiancé enjoyed his beers which were all local to the area. We got the charter board which was a charcuterie platter. We had a booth for 4 near a window, which was very pleasant. The asparagus fries were bit overbattered, and I found it odd that they decided to use really thick asparagus spears. Heirloom tomatoes were refreshing, but nothing particularly special. The fries were probably the best item - crispy and nicely seasoned. The special mozzarella dish was probably the most disappointing, with a tiny portion of mozzarella that couldn't cover more than one of the several slices of toast provided, and was also a bit underseasoned. We definitely needed that space for our annual catchup session. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive and came around when necessary. If you love fufu cocktails this is a great place with lots of variety. Their tapas menu had a mixture from finger foods to seafood bites and not listed were the specials which were addressed verbally. BANK STATEMENT ($16?) - vodka, blanc vermouth, lemon, lychee rose tea, sparkling rose. light, refreshing, sophisticated. HIGHLY RECOMMEND WHISPER IN THE WIND ($16?) - bols genever, lillet rose, orange, apricot, egg white. floral, silky, picturesque. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. BACON WRAPPED DATES ($8/3pcs) - blue cheese, walnuts. Good but the blue cheese was overpowering and for someone who's not too much of a fan of blue cheese, eating one piece is enough. RECOMMEND. TOGARSHI & SESAME FRIES ($9) - yuzu aioli. Loved their fries! Togarshi and Yusu are Japanese ingredients so this was a new take on French fries. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. BURGER (~above $18) - since this was a special I can't recall the description or price. It was a stacked and juicy burger served with regular fries. The bun was too "bread-y" for the burger and wasn't a fan of it, but the rest of the burger was very tasty. Good seasoning on the patty. But if I could turn back the click I would have continued to order more tapas. RECOMMEND. We had a couple round of drinks and double the plates on burgers and other stuff... our bill was a little hefty for what it was AND they add an automatic 18% gratuity. Is this a trend in Seattle? Being 16 stories high provides for great views of the city in one of the very few rooftop bars in Seattle. It's still fairly new so there are a few kinks to work out but it's totally worth a visit, especially during warm weather. Fog Room offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. Inside there is bar seating as well as comfortable chairs and tables. The outside patio has smaller tables, couches, and a rectangular fire pit with seating around. The inside and outside are separated by floor to ceiling glass doors that can be left open during warm weather. Because of the patio's L shape, it almost feels like two separate patios. During our first experience, we were greeted warmly by the host and a manager and provided a choice of seating on the patio. Drinks were offered promptly but for some reason we were never asked if we wanted to order food. Had to flag someone down to order something to eat. It was a lovely, warm, and mostly clear sky day so we could see the mountains from our table. Fog Room seems to attract a nice crowd of business people and it got busy by 5:30pm on a weekday. Therefore happy hour isn't something they offer yet. Drinks are strong and priced in the $12 to $16 range. Wines by the glass are $10 to $45 depending on your selection and we found the pours to be small. The food options are limited but they offer small bites, raw choices, a few cheeses, and some additional plates. Nothing too substantial in size though so expect to order multiple items. We enjoyed the flavors of the scallops dish but there were only two on the plate so it wasn't very filling. The goat-cheese stuffed piquillo pepper was served cold and presentation left something to be desired. Overall we had a decent experience at Fog Room and I plan to return. I do hope the food options expand a bit once they get into the swing of things. read more

I also had the Oaxaca old fashion, which I regretted. I just forgot that I do not like mezcal. Mezcal has this smoky flavor that's pretty rough to down. I had pork sliders which were kind of dry. I wouldn't necessarily recommend. They're food options aren't that great but it is a cocktail bar. The views are of course amazing. That's why we go here. I do think there's better places with better views that are not as expensive. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating and attentive. I would definitely come back again.
