Loved the pretzel , the charcuterie board was delicious and the meat ball and mushroom grilled was delicious. The service could have been better but it wasn't bad. I love the rooftop view and the mezcal drink I ordered was amazing it's wasn't too busy and the music was great read more

I had probably a few too many here, but I wanted to try them! I had the classic old fashion which was delicious. The Tommy's margarita was was also great, but wasn't amazing. I also had the Oaxaca old fashion, which I regretted. I just forgot that I do not like mezcal. Mezcal has this smoky flavor that's pretty rough to down. I had pork sliders which were kind of dry. I wouldn't necessarily recommend. They're food options aren't that great but it is a cocktail bar. The views are of course amazing. That's why we go here. I do think there's better places with better views that are not as expensive. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating and attentive. I would definitely come back again. This place gets busy at night. I highly encourage reservations. It just makes life easier. read more

Came here for my friend's birthday and to grab drinks with a view. It was raining out so unfortunately didn't get to have the full experience however I still enjoyed it overall. Definitely more of a lounge vibe. Overall good drinks and great service. Expect to pay like $20+ for a cocktail ofc! I will definitely be returning in the summer! read more

Love this place it was amazing, beautiful view, and great cocktails. You must make a reservation. The staff is great and the service is impeccable. read more

This is the best rooftop bar in Seattle imo!!!! The view might not be as good as the Nest or Mbar but drinks are delicious, service is 10/10, the atmosphere is relaxing and intimate. They also have outdoor heaters, outdoor fireplace and you can make rsvp online. Definitely recommend!!! read more

Amazing place!!! Once you get to seat everything goes so good... cocktails, food, music, view... guys take your girl here, I promise...

First time at the Fog Room for my boyfriend and I's anniversary. We made the reservation about 2 weeks prior and left a note that it was a special day, if we could please get a nice spot in the restaurant. Staff did sit us right away, although great seating was available both inside and outside we were sat at the back near the kitchen entrance. Not the vibe we were going for at all. We also were just coming for drinks and dessert and the drink I had was great. My bf loves old fashions and they just did not have those down. Dessert was recommended by the waiter but did not mention it was a flourless, vegan/GF option. (Although that's great that they have those options!) it just wasn't what we were looking for in a chocolate cake. Price was reasonable and they include 20% gratuity automatically. read more

I wanted to like this place so bad. Over priced for McDonald's fries, the wings looked good but they were a cross between jerk and Asian but not in a good way. The charcuterie board was .. odd and small. Have an extra star for the smooth tequila shots and our waitress was nice. read more

Great place to grab cocktails and drinks! It's pretty big place to dine in or drink or even just enjoy the view and atmosphere. They have a mix of indoor and outdoor seatings so it's very convenient. We didn't eat there, but tried several cocktails and they were fantastic! read more

Love the view of the city/water from the outside patio. Went in just for cocktails and had a great Old Fashion. Will definitely come back when in town again, but will probably sit inside so we don't have to see the weird man across the way in the apartments who dresses like a baby. Yes I said baby. He was walking around in a diaper and then changed into a onesie with a big Teddy Bear and Pass afire in his mouth standing at his window just staring across the way at the restaurant was very weird. Our server told us he does this every day for hours... read more

I always love hanging out at rooftop bars overlooking the city. The Fog Room isn't exactly on the roof, but it is still high enough to have great views of Second Avenue with some water views too. We were seated outside and they had a fireplace on a table, so it wasn't too cold. I enjoyed my cocktail that I got here and I liked how their ice says "FOG" on it, definitely a nice touch. Overall, service, drinks, and views were great so I would definitely come back here. read more

Was in Seattle recently and had the opportunity to check out this place. Super cool and has a great view. Definitely a place to try out if you've never gone. It's definitely on the higher end, price wise. As mentioned, definitely something to checkout. For food: we had a burger, fries, and a charcuterie board. As for drinks: I had a paloma with orange juice. read more

Good experience if you're hoping to have a boujee evening with a good view. Came here to celebrate my friends birthday. The view is amazing, but the prices were very high. The food was just average, which made the prices not feel worth it, despite the view. Service was subpar. It was very busy when we were there, so there was a lot that the servers had to tend to. I was happy with the selection of mocktails. read more

A great rooftop bar with interesting cocktails, and a beautiful view. The service was also great -- the accommodated a large group of 12 people last minute, which was very lovely. We also got desserts, which were delicious. A cute spot for a more upscale drink with friends! read more

Patio didn't have many options with any shade or fans, it made us want to leave fairly quick but we moved seats and that helped. My first drink had no ice and it got warm quickly in the sun. I had a lobster roll and it had no flavor. Goat cheese ranch didn't taste like ranch at all, mostly just like goat cheese. Fries were way too salty. Very pretty views and nice ambiance. I don't think I'd go back. read more

Excellent food selection! We were able to make a dinner from the amazing appetizer selections. Had the scallops, prosciutto wrapped tuna, green beans, and berry salad. Amazing cocktails. Delicious Amari Nonino and ended the night with a pistachio ice cream topped brownie. Excellent waiter Tom! Blankets for chilly legs at sundown. And sick views from the rooftop!! Can't wait to come back again. read more

I took my family(3 ppl) to the Fog Room for a fancy cocktail when I visited on thanksgiving weekend. We ordered our drinks. We liked the music ( LDR) and the view. The server brought out two iced drinks, and said they were pulling the espresso for the third cocktail. We waited for the third cocktail. 30 minutes later the espresso based cocktail was brought. At this point our two early delivery drinks, which we did not partake, were diluted. We mentioned our dilemma to the server. She made NO attempt to compensate for the 30 minute delay in finding espresso for the third cocktail. We left all three drinks untouched on the table and decided to bail out. On the way out we passed a bar on the first floor which had an espresso machine! All they had to do was ride down get the espresso and make the cocktail at the same time so we would be served together. Were we two really supposed to drink in front of the third person for 30 minutes? Why were two drinks made and delivered to a party of three? I have worked as a server and always offered something if there was an unusual delay. In this case, she could have offered to remake our diluted drinks, offer an appetizer, something! But nooo! She brought out three more coworkers and none of them corrected her as to proper customer service. Proves the automatic gratuity results in less service than an earned gratuity. So we walked up the street to Provisions and enjoyed lovely cocktails with awesome service on point. read more

I really wanted to like this place but it just didn't work out. I'll start with the positives: our server was an absolute sweetheart. That's where it ends. Had a charcuterie board here that was just terrible. Also the drinks were just alright but very expensive. If you're just here for the rooftop, then for sure visit. read more

Great food and cocktails with a beautiful Sunset! Enjoyed the lazy river signature cocktail that our Sever recommends based on my preferences and likes. Service was prompt and quick. We sat at the bar and all the bar staff was prompt and on top of making our experience amazing. We ordered appetizers such as they're delicious olives, and amazingly season fries. Would come back for sure read more

They make the best Aperol Spritz and have the best rooftop Seattle views ;) All the time they I visited I enjoyed my drinks and the atmosphere. I think I you come to Fog Room to enjoy long conversations and the view not go much to drink because the only downside for me is it's a little expensive. $35 for 2 drinks... well read more

On my last visit, the service seemed to have dipped again. I really hope they can work out these kinks, as this place has potential. Initially I was seated outside despite booking an indoor table but that was quickly rectified once the host was able to verify my initial booking. Unfortunately it took over 20 min to get my first drink and there were long waits to flag down staff to order and pay for the check. They didn't seem that busy, but maybe were short staffed. Another weird thing, they "ran out" of wine glasses and served my wine in a martini like glass. It was odd. Would love to see more consistent service here! read more

Fog Room - Manhattan + - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Experience: While the appeal of the place and vibe was super, the welcome staff at the front door lobby was rude. Upon asking for direction, with a very suspicious eye asked if I had a reservation. Even though we had mentioned in our reservation that it was a date, we got the most obscure table of all, one facing a computer screen (not that we get enough of that while WFH) We even asked if we could switch tables when there were 2 empty ones closer to the window and in a quieter area, they declined the request though we saw another couple switch tables a few minutes after our request for declined. saying that those are reserved for different parties who're yet to arrive. Now if this isn't hypocrisy, I don't know what is. Drinks: we got the fog room old fashioned which was pretty good. Their good fellas looked amazing as well with the kind of presentation. Food: we got the shoestring fries which were HELLA salty, almost unpalatable. Overall, drinks are good, but be aware. read more

I had a lovely time here. The attention to detail and service was perfect. Food was tasty, and I didn't think it was overpriced at all.

Amazing views of the city, and a large enough bar to accommodate a single gal like myself. The staff was attentive and though I didn't try their food, I met their sous chef at the bar whilst she enjoyed her birthday drink and had a hoot of a time. I would definitely suggest making a stop here during your trip to downtown Seattle, particularly for the views and incredible ambience. read more

Fog Room - View from the patio - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Seattle, Washington

We had some time to kill before a Sunday night show at the Moore Theatre and decided to check out Fog Room. It is a bit unsuspecting sitting on top of the Charter hotel and boasts somewhat unobstructed views (for now.) It was admittedly pretty dead, but I wouldn't expect much different being a Sunday night. Here's where I'll dock the rating a bit- after making our way up the elevator and wandering in, we went mostly unnoticed and found our own cozy spot in a window corner. After a little while, a very friendly waitress came by to check on us and take our drink order. Ordered the downfall and the bank statement (or whatever it has been renamed to- couldn't find an updated cocktail list), and a dozen oysters. The drinks were decent, and the oysters were small but great. The waitress did check on us frequently and was excited for us (and jealous) about the James Blake show we were headed to. I can't speak yet for Fog Room on busier nights, but between the decor/ambiance, views, and hip rooftop offerings- I think this could become a solid choice for a more mature Seattle audience. From other recent reviews, it sounds like service could use some work- but assuming they are listening to feedback, there's hope. I'll try again, cheers! read more

The drinks, views and food were excellent, however I cannot review based just on how good the food and drinks were... Unfortunately, the service was abysmal. It was early in the evening and they were not too busy, so why were we made to feel like we were an inconvenience? We were dressed properly, were friendly and didn't have any special requests. I suppose since they AUTOMATCIALLY charge a 20% gratuity, they don't need to earn it. Not to mention the 20% gratuity is on top of a $$$$ menu. Please improve the quality of service by hiring people that actually care about the service they provide. read more

They must have changed their chef or something. The food was really good and ambiance was awesome. The seats are couches so it makes for a cute date spot. If anyone likes bourbon, try the knob creek 12 yr on rocks. It's my new favorite and I'm getting a bottle of it now. read more

"Mid" is the best way to sum the joint up. In comparison to other rooftop bars around, The Nest has better views and everything tastes better at Frolik. Both have noticeably better service as well. Hostess seemed particularly unhappy upon arrival and servers were inconsistent and slow the whole evening. Ordered more than half the food menu, but the fries were the only item arguably good. Cocktails are strong, but something about the mix of ingredients doesn't come together perfectly. The Sazerac was noteworthy though and probably the one drink I'd come back for. Biggest gripe was the gnats. Just nasty and unmanageable swarms of them that come for your neck if you sit outside or next to the sliding window. You could sit away from those areas, but half the purpose of visiting the Fog Room is for the view and understandably, most people want to sit in the open on the rare sunny Seattle day. There's no way to win and that's essentially how the whole experience felt. If you still decide to check it out, I'd stay for a drink or two at most, but it's not somewhere worth spending considerable amount of time or money at. read more

Came here for a going away party and we had the back room reserved which was called the Treehouse . I mean it was a nice size room to have a mixer in, but the faint elevator music they had playing throughout the entire lounge was not so cool. We tried to request a music change for the backroom at least and they said all the music was linked together and couldn't. Everyone knows good music is what keeps the good vibes going. It was definitely a buzz kill that people tried to tune out! I had two glasses of Rose which was very good and a side of fresh fries that I devoured and realized how hungry I was LOL!!! It was a nice place, but would never come back because it's just not lively enough for me and way too relaxed for a weekend lounge/bar... But the waitress was super sweet and everyone was nice.. Just not my personal type of place...Maybe when I turn 50 I'll try it again haha read more

This bar is located on the 16th floor of the Charter Hotel. It's a decent place to hang out and have a nightcap or a break from the shopping. We arrived here at around 4:30 on a Sunday. It was fairly empty, so we were able to sit anywhere wanted. We chose to sit as close to the window as possible. There is currently some construction that is obstructing the views, but overall, it's a great vantage point to get a good glimpse of the city. We ordered some beers and cocktails along with some fries. The fries were okay. A little salty for my liking, but I still ate it anyway! When we asked for the bill, I noticed that gratuity and tip were already included, but asked for an additional tip if necessary. I found it odd, as it's just a lounge, but I guess that's up to your own jurisdiction if you'd want to add an extra tip or not. read more

With a service charge included at 20% it is understandable for Seattle but it was never mentioned and the service was horrible. We got water when sat but never refilled. Steer clear from the Salmon dip as it only comes with 5 crackers and we were charged $2 for 5 extra crackers. Overall beautiful venue but not worth it, go to The Nest much better service and actual normal cocktail lounge food quantities. read more
