Came here with way more than an hour before closing time and we were told last call, make your order now when we walked in. I've never heard of a last call that long before closing time. I could understand last call for the kitchen but also for drinks at the bar? Service was mew as well as the drinks. Not impress to come back read more

A chill, upscale rooftop bar located inside the Charter Hotel -- it's a stone's throw from Pike Place Market if you're looking to plan a day in the Downtown and Belltown area. We were able to get a reservation for 10 for a friend's birthday, and were seated outdoors on their patio. I've been to a few rooftop bars in Seattle, and the view here is OK (depending on where you're sitting). We were there for sunset and the ambiance was super nice, but our view of the water was definitely blocked by a tall building. It's a bit on the pricier side, but that's to be expected for a rooftop anything. The service here is FANTASTIC -- our server asked everyone about their favorite spirits and made such thoughtful recommendations about what each person would like. Every single drink he recommended was a hit -- I got the Star and Shadow and loved the smokiness from the mezcal. It was great to sip on and overall felt like a nice place to lounge. Overall, the drinks here are really great (albeit a bit pricey) but you could probably find a better view elsewhere. They have really knowledgeable servers, and I would come back for a special occasion. read more

If you're looking for a place with a nice view, comfy seating, and an impressive selection of specialty cocktails and hard to find spirits, this is a good option. If you don't mind paying pretty exorbitant prices. Located at the top of the Hilton Charter hotel about two blocks from Pike Place Market, on the 16th floor, note that there is very limited seating on the balcony. Service was good, but note that the establishment adds a mandatory 20% service charge which they claim they keep 4% of and pass the rest on to the staff. If you're staying at the hotel, the entire amount of the bill including the service charge can be applied against the daily $25 per day resort fee, but that's about the cost of one specialty cocktail. These are prices I'd expect in NYC, not Seattle, where the mixologist created cocktails are life-changing. Were these drinks life-changing? No. It's a stretch to even call them memorable. You're paying for the slightly upscale ambiance and massive selection, and the view. If you feel that's worth the price, you'll probably be happy. read more

My husband and I walked in last Saturday night after the baseball game and were seated by a very nice blonde lady standing near the bar. She sat us at the corner couch, it wasn't very busy at all. About a half hour later, a dark haired female with a tube top aggressively walked over to us and asked who sat us there, and rudely asked if we would move if it got busier. I normally would not have a problem with that but she was so rude and aggressive about it that it shocked me. She said she is the "host" and should have sat us but clearly she wasn't at her stand if we walked in and were seated by someone else. I wonder if she's the same rude person mentioned in all these other bad reviews. She needs some serious training. The blonde lady was super friendly and the "host" was the complete opposite. Good luck with someone like that representing your lounge. I will say the bartender on duty made the best Moscow Mules we've had! read more

We loved our experience at the FOG room! Reservation are a must we tried to stop by Saturday night three hours before closing and they had back to back seatings so we waited until our Sunday reservation. We had seven people. Everything came out beautifully! We had Chicken sliders - these were good Beef sliders yummy Poke tostadas - table favorite Salmon dip - I didn't like this dip was too fishy. But everyone else seemed to love it Cheese board - large variety of meats and olives, Jam cheese and crackers read more

Fist off , this place is beautiful. Fantastic view even on a very overcast night . Dimly light , candles various seating options . Just stunning . Host was fantastic, friendly, happy , lovely to talk to . Staff all very attentive, water always full , plates cleared fairly quickly as most tables are smaller and you really need the space . Extensive drink menu , as a former bartender and manager it almost made my head spin. The bar is very impressive. Food was just average . We started with a dozen oysters . Which came almost immediately just dropped on the table no explanation of what type or locale. They where not Shucked with care at all , full of tinny shell shards and meat not separated from the shell at all . We spent more time trying to pry the meat from the shell with tiny oyster forks making each one a shredded mess. Charter plater / charcuterie board was ok nothing stood out and nothing fancy. We ended with a pretzel and cheese opting for the additional Brat . The whole plate lacked flavour again just ok . The drinks however where fantastic I enjoyed the flying home , an amazing smoky tequila mezcal concoction . My partner had a Squeeze me which she thoroughly enjoyed staying it was very light and refreshing . All in all a lovely location definitely more of a cocktail lounge , but we will try again and perhaps take in some of the dinner items . read more

The host was amazing! We went here last minute and asked for a table with more of a view, and she was able to sit us and change our table to a nicer one when it became available! I come here quite often! It's a beautiful spot, I love the view and the ambiance. The DJ is freaking awesome! And the drinks are good as always. It's $$$ but I feel like for the atmosphere it's expected. Service is always friendly as well. However, I went last night pretty late because my shift ended late. We got there around 10:30pm and were seated immediately and got drinks. I went to order the Oysters and was informed they were out, which is fine I was going to something else until she waitress said "we are out of almost everything on the menu". How can you be out of everything on the menu on a Friday night?! I was shook. I was disappointed at this point. As soon as she came back around at 11:15ish she said it was time for last call- I decided to order something on the menu because I was hungry, and she said the kitchen was closed! That makes absolutely no sense closing the kitchen before last call? We decided to order a couple tequila shots and call it a night, we were disappointed and just wanted to leave. Took 20 minutes to get 2 shots. In the mean time- they were still seating people and they were ordering drinks?! Like What? How can you tell us it's last call but other people are being seated ordering drinks. As a restaurant employee myself- Management needs to change the pace of this bar. If you close at 12am, last seating is at 12am and last call is at 12am. read more

Really nice space with a great view. Hostess was condescending and rude when we arrived. Drinks were good, food was horrible. $30 for cheddar cheese 4 crackers and 5 pieces of salami. The flatbread frozen and was 90% cheese. The seared ahi tuna was barely seared and practically still frozen. Morning after my stomach is ACHING. read more

Zero stars. Horrible service, hostess was rude and told us there was no seating when there was a bunch of seats available. Then when we finally got to sit at the bar after waiting over an hour some server tried to tell me I wasn't allowed to sit there. They were clueless what menu was available and what food they were serving. Clusterfuck for sure. We had one beer and left after that. Mind you we are guests at the hotel which you would think would get priority at their only restaurant/bar on their property. read more

Solid place to dine when staying at The Charter Hotel Seattle. I brought a glass of wine in from my room and the staff didn't mind at all. I saw the $20 Fog Burger (Smoked Cheddar| Red Onion| Tomato Jam| Bread and Butter Pickle) on the menu and I'm always keen to see just how mind blowing a $20 burger can actually be at a restaurant. It wasn't to my liking - it was two patties? I'd rather have one thick patty than two patties! I wouldn't order it again ; sorry dawg......it's a NO for me.......... I tried to salvage my meal w/ the Smoked Steelhead Pate $14 (Rainbow Radish| Honey Rye Bread). It was a bit dry, but great presentation and flavor. Lastly, I ordered the Last Harvest Salad $14 (Ricotta| Nasturtium| Preserved Tomato| Olives). It was a great salad - fresh ingredients, good flavor, hit the spot. All things considered, the service was excellent (mandatory 20% service charge -- welcome to Seattle). Food came out quickly and super laid back vibe. Great option if you're staying at the hotel and don't feel like going out. I didn't explore the cocktail menu but it looked all time. Decent crowd, nice volume level - and super nice view. read more

This is one of many rooftop bars in Seattle, and it is a great place for a date night out or just socializing with friends. We made reservations to be safe, but later at night on a weekday, it was not too busy. We were a party of 2 and got to lounge in a spacious set of sofas. We tried the Pharaoh's Dance (egg white based, somewhat average for $18), Squeeze Me (more fruit forward than alcohol focused), and Bebop (a combination of fruity and smoky). Honestly, the cocktails are just alright, nothing too special or standout that I would have expected paying this price point. I guess they charge more for rooftop bar setting, but the views are just okay - there are many apartment rooftops with superior views and this seems to cater more for tourists that normally likely won't know people in the area that can enter those apartment rooftops. This bar is quite loud so it could be hard to maintain a good conversation, but the ambience is there. Service is quite mediocre as the waiter feels like rushing us as he shows the bill multiple times walking around as I talk, and what's worse is that they tack on a mandatory 20% service charge. I wouldn't go out of my way, but this is a good option in the downtown area, near Pike Place. read more

Since we stayed here for the weekend and paid for a dumb non-refundable $25 resort fee, decided to head on up and check out their rooftop bar Fog Room on the 16th floor. I highly recommend making reservations on their website or walk in to sit at the bar. We were seated outside at a high top table facing the bay. They have a gorgeous view albeit some buildings blocking it. Nonetheless the sunset was spectacular! Amanda was our server and was super nice and friendly! Note: Be careful checking your receipt for double tipping since they automatically add a 20% service charge tip. Food: Fog Burger-so so good and perfectly made at medium, we'd order this again Charter Board-this charcuterie board was ok, some items I could do without such as removing blue cheese, purple carrots that stained my fingers, green beans and the rosemary cracker sheet Drinks: Squeeze Me-vodka, peach, guava strawberry tea very delicious and fruity read more

Beautiful lounge with seating indoors as well as outdoors..with a view of downtown and the waterfront! I had not been here before, but coworkers were in town and stayed at the attached hotel recently. They insisted I come check out their swanky hotel lounge, so I obliged. I'm so glad I did! I had the rosemary fries (plenty to share!) My coworker had the Vietnamese style wings (and gave it a double thumbs up!) My other friend got the lamb skewers (just so-so with odd flavor to it). The drink menu was extensive and pleasing to everyone, albeit with high prices on cocktails. I will bring future visitors to town up here for sure! read more

**make sure to check your receipt after using your card** Visited on 4/30/22 around 8:37 pm. The experience was okay. The views are blocked by tall buildings around. But it was the only roof top bar that was available on the weekend. Ordered a few drinks, and appetizers. A lot of appetizers weren't available on that day. Drinks were okay, fries were good, brussel sprouts were meh. I am giving one star, because this place is sketchy. They charged the wrong amount on the credit card first (over charged ~60 bucks). Asked the server to correct it. They processed another transaction and said the other one never went through, because they didn't "complete" the transaction. The credit card still shows 2 separate transactions. With another transaction, it was the correct amount on the receipt when i signed it, but the final amount was $10 more than what i signed for. They already adds a 20% service charge to your receipt so i didn't add additional tips. I am pretty sure someone forged my receipt and added tips to themselves. I am going to report this since this is not a mistake, but a fraud. read more

The fog room has great customer service and very friendly staff. The cozy ambience has a mix of indoor and rooftop seating options ...Do not come here with the hopes of having a top tier meal ... there are less than five main options to chose from complimented by several small plate/ snack options ... overall, the food is just okay ... the lobster roll is a HARD PASS... luckily, the bar has an extensive drink menu ... I'd say the Fog Room serves as a decent option to meet friends and have a great convo over a few drinks ... this would not serve as a primary choice for an elevated dining experience. read more

The Fog Room has some serious cocktails and views which makes it popular with visitors and locals alike. There are no signs for the place as it's inside the Charter Hotel, but once you arrive, you enter a large spacious room with some great views and peeks of the Sound. The bar is surprisingly well-stocked for a bar at a Hilton property (3 types of genever!). And the bartenders there were solid. Loved the classic cocktails choices on the menu, and I had some fun adding some more obscure liquor like Oka Kura Sake Vermouth into a Vesper. I'm from Los Angeles and the bar scene is like any other. View isn't optimal, but you can still see decent night life from the high floor vantage point. Menu changes after 10pm to a very limited lounge food menu. Service was decent, prompt with frequent checks for more drinks, last call, and kitchen closing. Who doesn't love craft cocktails with a rooftop view?! The Fog Room was the perfect meet up spot before dinner.

Super busy for a Thursday evening! Nonetheless we were seated quickly however the hostess had a bit of an attitude telling us we had to be "out" by 7:30 due to a private networking event which we had read the sign prior to entering the rooftop. We decided to just grab a quick drink and some fries. The garlic fries were OK personally I found there was tooo much seasoning on them as any time I would grab one the seasoning would just fall onto the table. When it came to the check we were hoping to split the fries evenly on our tabs but I guess they couldn't do that so I ended up putting them on mine since I had ordered a non-alch drink but was not aware of the 20% service charge I'd also have to pay along with it. My friend was just charged for her drink with no service charge or anything. Not to mention the service was very mid with little to no real interaction read more

We had the opportunity to check out the Fog Room on New Years Eve and it was awesome! What a fun space with incredible views of downtown Seattle and the water. They really outdid themselves with all of the decorations! We decided to use a credit we got with the hotel stay for being Hilton Diamond members on two drinks from the bar. Good vibes and nice cocktails on a rooftop bar. It's only on the 16th floor so the views aren't *that* impressive, but it has a cozy ambiance and friendly service. Reservations are definitely needed, so make sure to plan ahead if you would like to visit. I ordered "The Remastered" cocktail, which was delicious! Very fruity, summery, and refreshing. Would recommend. The shoestring fries were also tasty, and comes in a big portion that's more than enough to share. The Fog Room is at the Charter Hotel and offers great views of Seattle. It is popular, so it pays to get reservations in advance. They have seating indoors and outdoors. Part of the outdoor seating include an area with a beautiful fire pit kind of built into the table. It was a cold night so we sat inside. Service was very good. They have food, but we had just had dinner and were just in the mood for cocktails. They are a little pricy, but worth it for the ambience, view, and quality. I had something called the Rocker, that including bourbon, brandy, absinthe and more. It was really wonderful and complex. I usually order Old Fashions and this was superior, just a really great drink. My friend had something called a Pharoah's Dance with gin and citrus. She loved it, this was really good also. We came for the ambiance, but stayed for both the ambiance and the drinks. The drinks here were very tasty - it's more than just a pretty view. The drinks did tend towards the sweet side as some reviews have noted, but not overly so and I tend to like that and order more drinks on that line. The menu does categorize them too if you prefer to avoid sweeter drinks. It's definitely pricier but you're paying a little more per drink for the view really. The service was good too. Depending on weather and time of year you'd probably want a reservation, but in March on a sunny Saturday evening, we had no problem with walking in for the patio. Inside was fully reserved though. The patio is covered but not enclosed and they do have a fire pit table and will bring big fluffy blankets if you're cold. I didn't mind it but I'm pretty cold resistant. It didn't feel super windy either which was nice. I'd definitely bring folks here to impress or return for a date night or special occasion. read more

If you're trying to impress a first date or an out of town visitor, this is the place for you. Except it seems like that might be the only reason it'd be justifiable to come back. While the views here are amazing and the ambience is perfect for pretending to be Gatsby, the food and drinks were only mid quality and the prices were exorbitantly high. I came here last time with a friend who was staying at the hotel that this bar is located in, and he had a voucher to use here, so all our menu items were comped. We ordered like a strawberry rhubarb crisp with pink peppercorn ice cream, which was super unique but tasted about exactly how you'd imagine it. I'm not personally one to appreciate a spicy/sweet mixture, but if that's for you, then I can see someone like that really enjoying this flavor combination. We also ordered fries and oysters, neither of which were particularly impressive. The fries tasted like they were the frozen kind that had been reheated, which in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it didn't line up with the expectations I had set for $8 fries. Like I mentioned above, the views were amazing. You get a perfect view of downtown Seattle, and the rooftop isn't too high where you can still feel like you're enveloped by the city. Coming in the evening, the city lights are beautiful to look out onto, and the indoor ambience matched as well. If you've ever been to Mr. Purple in NYC, the two bars kind of remind me of each other. I was lucky to be able to enjoy the food and drinks here with a voucher, but I wouldn't come back if I had to pay, and I can't say I'd necessarily recommend it to others. read more
