Pluses -- friendly staff and the food is prepared quickly and accurately. The ordering kiosks help with that. And they have amazing tater tots. (It might be the seasoning they put on it.) Minuses -- expensive, but that's airport food for you. More importantly, the chicken sandwich itself lacked a lot of flavor. Traveling through the Austin Airport on a weekly basis, I was happy to see new places come in, for food. Unfortunately, the service is so bad that even after several attempts to try and like this location...I'm done. I have always used the kiosk to place my order, since most times the cashier is wiping the counter or somewhere else. I wait patiently, in the long lines, get my order and am told that I need to see the cashier for my drink. After a short wait, I finally get my drink and go. The next visit, I place my order and go straight to the cashier for my drink, only to be told I need to wait until my order is called. Finally, this last visit, I place my order, wait patiently and as my number is called, I make my way toward the counter. Some disgruntled older male is shaking his Head back and forth in an obvious upset manner and making his way through the crowd of people. We both meet at about the same location and I move out of his way. He mumbles something under his breath about his displeasure of the crowd and even though I'm unable to make out the words...it's very unprofessional...since his Flyrite name tag states his name is Barrie and he is a manager. He continues through the crowd, makes his way behind the counter, shaking his head left and right and then begins to pat the employees on their backs and tell them to continue to good work. I was shocked at his unprofessional manner, but even more shocked that he switched gears and was able to be decent to the employees. Regardless, the service at this location is already horrible, but to have a disgruntled manager making his way through the crowd of paying customers and act negatively...completely uncalled for. You never know who is watching, Barrie. There are a lot of new places that recently opened in the Austin Airport...choose another one for better service. When I logged into Yelp I was super surprised to see the 2 star rating. Mine was amazing! On a quick lunch stop before a flight from Austin, the Cowboy chicken sandwich caught my eye on the advertisement. I really wasn't even hungry, but my wife was. I ordered the Cowboy extra spicy. Just the sandwich and a local IPA. IPA's are really not my thing, but it was good. My wife got the chicken tenders and tots. No wine here, so she walked across to the Salt Lick bar and ordered a wine while I waited for our food. The wait was a bit longer than expected, but after a few minutes, I saw the sign that said all orders are cooked to order. I'll accept that. Once we got the food, it was a rush to board. Once on the plane, I dug in. The extra spicy on the chicken sandwich meant extra sauce. It looked sloppy. Thankfully I had grabbed extra napkins. This was one of the best chicken sandwiches ever. Not only does Popeye and Chick-Fil-a not have a chance here, but neither do the good spots for hot chicken in Nashville. Yes...it's that good. Unfortunately, the wife didn't feel the same about the tenders. Maybe the 2 stars are coming from the tender eaters. The tots were delicious! There was a pathetic amount of egg and chicken and slice (yes, I said slice) of cheese in the tortilla.
