A not-as-good copy of the "real" Flyrite. So here's the rub. The sandwich was fine. But that's it. That's the point. It was just fine not living up to its reputation in town. The Flyrite on Burnet is GREAT and all the pictures of the glorious fried chicken patties that overhang the mildly sweet buns are from there. I wish I had the patience to snap a picture but with my words, what I got was a small fried chicken breast which was more akin to a small Chick-fil-a sandwich. Under the bun was an unmelted square of American cheese, thin bacon pieces and pickles. Funny was that I asked for extra jalapeños, (the cowboy comes with jalapeños) and to make it spicy. I haven't been in the airport in 4 months so I had no idea FlyRite was here. The line for Salt Lick was very long (my usual breakfast go to) so I decided to try FlyRite. I'm odd and don't like other people's eggs so I order them without egg (all scrambled eggs are not cooked equally). The 3 staffers were totally thrown off by by sausage, potato, and cheese request. It took awhile to get said items although there'd only been one person in front of me. I get my tacos, sit down, and open my tacos. Airport dinner pre-flight so opted for a grilled chicken sandwich and tater tots. Flight was delayed so I got a chance to dig in. The tots were a little lukewarm but they tasted good. The grilled chicken was a bit rubbery and lacking in flavor. I think I'd go for the fried chicken next time - it's likely better than the grilled. Tips- two self-serve ordering touchpanels are available. The register is mostly for cash purchases. Also - they have grab and go boxes - so you aren't limited to the hot (?) food. read more

The chicken is not crispy or seasoned well despite it's color, but they try to make up for it by offering different sauces. Spend your money elsewhere unless you just want some protein, the chicken breast was a good size.
