IF IT JIGGLES, I WANT IT! When I first laid my eyes on Japanese souffle pancakes, I knew I had to try them! Unlike the traditionally flat, dense pancakes that we're used to, souffle pancakes are known for being tall, airy, and fluffy with the texture of a soft, bouncy cloud. They're made from beaten egg whites and sugar that are cooked slowly in low steam. Fluffy Fluffy is a dessert cafe in Edison that combines Japanese cooking techniques with Western/American flavors. They recently opened in October! It's located on Route 27 with a few parking spots up front. The menu's star of the show is the souffle pancake! They also offer all day brunch items (breakfast sandwiches, eggs benedict, egg croffle), basque cheesecake, espresso beverages, and refreshers. The cafe has a modern, trendy, and minimalist interior that is definitely "Instagrammable". They have a flower wall, neon signs, plushies, and plants. They have a decent amount of seating with outlets along the walls. I ordered the Strawberry Fluffy Pancakes (~$15). There's a bit of a wait for the pancakes, but that's because the staff whips them up fresh on the premises. It can take 15-30 minutes, and even longer if they're busy. Once I had the plate in front of me, I was ready to take a bite! And WOW. I fully understand the meaning behind why they call these pancakes FLUFFY. They have a light and airy texture that makes every bite feel like you're eating a cloud. They definitely jiggle and bounce! There's a dominant "eggy" and vanilla flavor, but the overall taste is pretty mild. It's not as sweet as it looks, so you can pair it with indulgent toppings. They included strawberries, strawberry puree, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. The strawberries were fresh, ripe, and sweet. The puree tasted like REAL fruit jam - none of that artificial sugary stuff. These pancakes are the perfect dessert if you're craving something that's light and sweet, but not overwhelming or too filling. My only complaint is the portion size and value. $15 for two small pancakes is a bit hefty... They need to supersize them for that price LOL. Side note: Most of the bad reviews on here are referring to the business during its grand opening phase when the staff was having trouble with their wait times & inventory. Based on my recent experience, they seem to have improved. GET YOUR FLUFF ON!!!

Been following this chain on IG for awhile, and was so excited to see it opening in Edison. Actually tried to come during the grand opening week, but was deterred by the crazy long line. Finally had a chance to check it out recently. We came right at opening on a Sat, tried the strawberry pancake, jalapeno chicken pancake, breakfast sandwich & half of a cheesecake. They were mostly delicious and lived up to the type. The pancakes are definitely fluffy and jiggly, so adorable. The cheesecake was good, but nothing special. The space is cute, open and airy, with a number of fun photo spots. Highly recommend and can't wait to come again.

Came to fluffy fluffy to try out their pancakes on a Wednesday night and it was pretty much empty. I ordered their original and tiramisu pancake and was surprised they came out in no time since I know it's normally a minimum 20-30mins wait time for them to make it fresh. Both pancakes were visually appealing, however it got slightly deflated by the time it was brought out to our table. I found them to be not as airy and fluffy as I would have liked, almost like there were too much egg yolk making the batter too "eggy". It didn't stack as tall and it doesn't have that cloud-like, melt in your mouth experience. The cream however, was light with a subtle touch of sweetness which helped highlight the freshness of the fruits. Overall, it's a good option if you are craving for soufflé pancake and don't want to drive very far for it. But quality is not up to par with other competitors nor do I think it's worth $15 each. I probably won't be returning.

Cute fluffy pancakes! Order at the register and take a seat. The dining room was full but we were lucky to get a table. It was pretty chilly in there even with our coats on. The cappuccino was good and warmed me up. Our food took about 10 minutes. The topping were fresh. It was interesting to try.

With all the low reviews, I was unexpected if things would improve when I came, but given it was no longer opening week, I had to swing by to try! Honestly, wait time has only improved by a bit. We waited just over 30 minutes from ordering to receiving our pancakes (1 order of pancake to be shared amongst 3 people). Without understanding the process of how they make their pancakes, I can understand if it is labor intensive and they require time, but they neeeed to post something or have the cashier tell customers when ordering what the projected wait time is, since you will be waiting longer here than what is considered reasonable anywhere else. That being said, these pancakes were delicious! Very fluffy, delicate and light in flavor, and just a tad eggy without being overly sweet. We also ordered a chocolate frappe, which was very reminiscent of Costco's coffee frappe, without the cofffee. Some people complain abour disposable cutlery, but I think it is easier to clean up afterwards since its more self-service like dining then true sitdown dining. Compared to Mihara tea that this store once was, Fluffy Fluffy Cafe is a huge improvement! Parking is extremely limited as expected of any rt24 eatery, but not impossible to find if the other business aren't busy and even easier to find after 8pm. Taking everything into account, while the pancakes itself were delicious, the unexpectedly long wait and the NYC prices (almost $17 for 1 serving of pancakes is a little crazy to me... ) I would still have to give this place 3 stars. Worth trying for sure, but will need to work a bit harder to get return customers.

I write this review as I complete a full hour of waiting for 2 pancake orders, after waiting an hour in line to order. When I finally received it I was very disappointed My eggs lweren't fully cooked and neither was any of the pancakes on either order. Additionally the orders were cold and I tried it the second we received it. $15.XX for each order and this is what you get?? I would not be returning here As for the Grand Opening Day they were extremely unprepared, slow service, uncooked food, and the coffee was nothing above ordinary.

the interior is super cute and spacious. the menu has lots of different options to try, i went with the signature. it was very tasty and fresh, service took about 10-15 minutes to make. definitely would come back to try more menu items!

I really wasn't impressed, the small sizes and exuberant prices weren't really worth the trip. On the menu it shows the crawffle is a whole croissant, but as you can see in the picture they only gave me half with barely a hand full of tater tots. All the food together with two meal and a coffee was 50$. It just wasn't worth it especially measuring up with the just okay flavor. It's a cute place, great atmosphere, and a good picture opportunity with sweet service but everything else was a bit lack luster.

I stopped in to get a quick bite. When I arrived I parked in their plaza lot. I walked in and was greeted and ordered the hot matcha Latte and the Jalapeño Maple Chicken & Pancakes. I really enjoyed the pancakes! It was good with that little punch of heat. All in all a good experience.

Def way too OVERHYPED! Saw this place all over social media i thought it was actually a new place that i havent been too but i have been to this location but they were named differently so they just rebranded. I wish they had more control on how dine is. We walked and there was a couple ordering by the cash register so we also just went in line even though we knew we wanted to eat there. Also, they make you order your food before getting seated. The guy that cleaned our table and delivered our food was so lovely. I got nutella banana pancake but the chocolate I got was not nutella it was some chocolate syrup. Also the salad it came with tasted like it was not washed so I didnt eat it after trying first bite.

Grand Opening October 10, 2025, second person on line. Patience is a virtue does not apply to me so I decided to arrive half an hour early and I am so glad I did because the line wrapped around the block. And OMG to all the reviews that said they waited a total of 2-4 hours. Formally a boba spot this space is not conducive to this kind of crowd. Here is what we ordered: - Signature Fluffy Pancakes - Salmon Eggs Benedict w/pancake base Our drinks came out quickly in to-go cups. The Fluffy Fluffy latte was meh, nothing special. My Blueberry latte tasted interesting, I can't decide if I liked it or not. They put so much ice that I finished it in one minute. Imagine my huge disappointment when our food came out in takeout containers. Don't expect to get your food as pictured if you dine in. The mayor of Edison was sitting next to us and his fluffy pancakes were presented on a dish. The food was served cold and messy. For their grand opening promotion we got the drinks for free. But I was shocked that we still had to pay $37 w/tip for the two dishes that didn't wow us. We won't be back.

The only other Japanese soufflé pancake place i know of in the area outside of the city is in princeton, so i was excited when fluffy fluffy opened in edison! I was able to find a spot in the small parking lot on an early Friday evening, but there are limited spots as the lot is shared by other places as well. You order at the counter and choose a seat in the seating area. I will say that the prices of everything are a bit high, but it seems that is the trend with all japanese soufflé pancake places. The cafe was pretty empty when we went so the food came out relatively quickly. I was disappointed to find that the pancakes were served on disposable plates with plastic forks and knives. The tiktoks and posts on social media we had seen about the place all showed actual plates and silverware so that's what we were expecting. Nonetheless, the pancakes themselves were beautiful and fluffy. I got the classic pancakes and my friend got the tiramisu ones. We also ordered the matcha espresso and blueberry latte. I wish they left the matcha espresso unmixed as it was an unsightly greenish brown color but it was a pleasant combination of matcha and coffee. The blueberry latte was interestingly just milk and some kind of blueberry syrup/flavor without any espresso. In terms of the pancakes, I was happy with mine but at the conclusion of our meal, my friend's stomach hurt severely and she had to rush to the bathroom. That made me a bit skeptical of this location and I'm unsure if I would return.

Come hungry -- the portions are generous and everything tasted fresh and made to order. I highly recommend trying their seasonal tiramisu latte (I seriously would order this everyday if I could) and their Tex-Fast Bowl which was decadently delicious. The drink was creamy with a hint of sweetness and definitely lived up to its name. If you're not a brunch lover, they also have other options like burgers, wraps, house specialties, quesadillas, and much much more! *SERVICE* Staff was friendly and welcoming, though the pace could use some improvement which I'm sure they'll figure out over time as they just recently set up in this space. Overall, Maria's Brunch is a great spot in Metuchen that's definitely worth visiting!

A few logistical tips: while there is street parking, a public lot is conveniently located right across the street. The dining room is quite intimate with only about ten tables, and since they don't seem to take reservations, I recommend arriving early or being prepared for a wait. If you don't want to wait, they do offer takeout! Another suggestion is to browse their menu online before you arrive, the selection is extensive! We showed up without a game plan and needed several minutes just to decide because there were so many tempting choices! Luckily, our waiter was incredibly patient and helpful, answering every question we had. Once we decided, the real fun began. Every single item, and I'm not exaggerating, was phenomenal! We started with the fresh squeezed orange juice, which was sweet and perfectly portioned, along with a vanilla latte and a cappuccino. Both were classic, rich, and creamy. For the main course, we chose the "Chill + Qill It" Chilaquiles, which featured traditional corn tortillas topped with cotija cheese, avocado, pink sour cream, eggs, and your choice of protein. We also tried the Parkside Classic Sliders; the chicken was exceptionally crispy yet tender and juicy, served with eggs on a brioche bun. We opted to upgrade to the truffle fries, which were delicious! Although our sliders accidentally came with pickles, the staff was so kind and immediately offered to remake the dish or swap out the bun. Finally, we had the Grilled Chicken Egg Ranchero. It was like a breakfast version of nachos, loaded with beans, peppers, onions, an egg, those same crispy tortillas, and more of that signature pink cream! We couldn't leave without satisfying our sweet tooth, so we finished with the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. It tasted exactly like a fresh cinnamon roll, the glaze was incredible, and the bread was perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining fluffy inside. I honestly cannot wait to go back and work my way through the rest of the kitchen's creations. This restaurant is a absolute must-visit for their unique combinations and superb flavors!
