Best experience ever! I used to go to Bella Vista....ugh, never again. They were fast, kind, and professional at Dr. Flores. They didn't give me any grief about wanting to buy my glasses online from another place (Zennioptical), even telling me that if they needed to be adjusted they would do it for free....even if I didn't buy the glasses from them. My appointment was at 10 and I was out of there by 10:30. I never felt rushed or like anything wasn't explained to me. She will now be my regular eye doctor! read more

They genuinely care and I believe that comes down from Dr Flores herself. She is awesome...she genuinely cares about you. She takes time to explain and show you why and how things work. Dr. Flores and her staff are great, understanding and courteous. I went here based off other Yelp reviews. I do not have insurance so I had to pay out of pocket. I called and they were very courteous on the phone, booking an appointment for me weeks in advance so I could save up money. Day of appointment: I was greeted and treated with respect the entire time. Each process and test was explained thoroughly to me. Dr. Flores is very friendly and understood my financial situation. Given that I couldn't afford glasses in store and have to order online, Dr. Flores actually showed me the information to fill out for my prescription (I printed out the order form and brought it in ). Dr. Flores even showed me the numbers on my current glasses, and explained the measurements of my current ones so I could find similar sized glasses online. She also took the time to explain different lens index to me. I had a great experience here. After my online glasses arrived in the mail, I popped down to the office and they adjusted them for me. Because it's not their glasses, they do warn that they are not liable for damage during adjustments. I can respect that but they treated my new glasses with great care and were extra careful handling them making small adjustments at a time. I'm very happy coming here and definitely will be back for a check-up next year! Parking - A free 2-hour parking lot is accessible from Estudillo Ave. There is always available parking. read more

After coming from a family where NO ONE had glasses (I got glasses finally in college), I received a letter from my kindergartner's school that she needed a complete eye exam because it appears she needs glasses. Found this place on my insurance provider's list and was encouraged by the rave reviews on Yelp. Also, we are a bilingual family so I was excited to take my daughter to an office full of women speaking Spanish (empowering!). I was crossing my fingers that it wouldn't be Spanglish and that the doctor would be good as that is obviously my first criteria! Much to my delight, our experience was AMAZING. EVERYONE spoke to my daughter and I in Spanish at my request (all are obviously fluent in English, but what a plus to be 100% bilingual!). I can't speak highly enough about the ability of Dr. Flores and her team to deal with kids. THey were so incredibly patient and creative to get my daughter to do everything they needed her to despite my daughter's jumpiness and extreme dislike of eye drops. Dr. Flores truly made it a fun experience and my daughter skipped out happy as can be (and even decided she wanted to be an eye doctor while we were there!). There was a play area for kids that kept my daughter busy while we were waiting. The selection of glasses for kids was great. It about brought me to tears to imagine covering my daughters beautiful perfect innocent face with glasses, but the woman who helped us made it a delightful experience and helped us find what fit her little face perfectly (even though my daugher's nose has no bridge to hold the glasses up). I didn't pay too much attention to adult glasses but there were TONS. I'm going to make an appointment for myself despite having always gone to the clinic at UC Berkeley (it was free and convenient while I was in grad school). Did I mention that everyone was kind, welcoming, helpful, and so amazingly patient with kids?! Love this place and they have definitely won us over as permanent patients! read more

I just had my first appointment at Flores Optometry this week as I'm new to the area. I was extremely impressed by Dr. Flores and her staff. Dr. Flores was friendly, professional, and extremely good at what she does. I especially appreciated that she explained everything regarding my prescription in detail. The office was spotless and nice looking, and there was a small kids area. The selection of glasses is enormous and the opticians that helped me was quite skilled in selecting frames that would look good on me. The absolute only thing I disliked was that all of their frames are were blocked off from customers ... ie you need the opticians help to try them on...a totally minor inconvenience. read more

I just had my annual eye exam with Dr. Rosie Flores, and wanted to update my review. Five years later, it's STILL 5 stars!! Dr. Flores is so knowledgeable and kind, it's a pleasure to be a part of her practice all these years. She takes such good care of us, and as soon as my little munchkin is old enough for eye exams, she'll be seeing Dr. Flores, too!! Dr. Flores doesn't get any better then this! Her staff is very friendly & welcoming. Her office is next to Citibank, easy access from parking lot which is in the back. The decor is very elegant and the equipment very clean and high tech. I would recommend Dr. Flores for all ages. Her knowledge and friendly outgoing personality is what sets her above all. She is good for all ages. There is a small play area for kids as well. Thanks to Dr. Flores and her friendly team I have no fear of going to the eye doctor and getting an exam. I have been to several eye doctors over the years and Dr. Rosie Flores is by far the best that I have been to. From the high-tech medical equipment that she uses to the caring and knowledgeable staff - they really know their business. Some doctors really push new glasses/frames because that is where they make their money, but Dr. Flores does what is best for the patient and this year I did not need new frames/glasses so she said that there is no reason to get new glasses/frames so I will see you in a year. Dr. Flores uses high-quality lens that have a 2 year warranty whereas other places use lower quality/cheaper lens but tend to flake, scratch after 9 months - 1 year so Dr. Flores decided to only use high-quality lens so prevent issues that she saw before owning her own business. read more

She's the best eye doctor ever. She really knows what she's talking about, & explains it to me really well. They offer me options for my eyes based on my computer usage (I work all day at one), the changes in my prescription (eyes getting worse, natch), & what I can afford (since said computer job doesn't pay that much). She's a very warm person & it feels like being with family when I'm there, but they still keep it very professional. Also I love how much she gives back to the Latino community. When I become a very powerful lawyer someday, I hope to remain as in touch with my roots as Dr. Flores is with hers. Truly inspirational. And hilarious as well. I had to get these old eyes checked out so i made my first eye appointment in about 20 years..so i was very hesitant. The first thing i noticed was the cleanliness of the establishment!!! I've never had an optometrist that actually tries to discuss the mechanics behind my eyes and why something is happening. She isn't just phoning in her work, she really knows her stuff, smartest optometrist I have ever met. I'll say something really weird and she'll have a perfect explanation of why it's happening and what I can do to prevent it. Luckily I'm walking distance to her office but she's close to BART and I would recommend anybody in the bay to go out of their way to see her. read more
