From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff checked me in quickly and confirmed all my information. I only waited about five minutes before being called in for the eye tests. Today, Marisela, the optician who helped me, was absolutely wonderful -- super friendly, patient, and made sure I understood every step. She walked me through all the options and explained the costs clearly, which I really appreciate. Dr. Flores has always been so knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything about my prescription and eye health in detail. You can tell she truly cares about her patients. The office is very clean, organized, and easy to find with a convenient parking lot, which makes the whole experience even smoother. The BEST prescription eyewear I've ever put on. I needed dual prisms in addition to some correction on my right eye. A search on YELP was my first exposure to Flores Optometry. They had great reviews and are close to home. I just picked up my first pair of perfect glasses from them! They have equipment my last optometrist did not have. Dr. Flores gave me a very thorough exam and worked with me to dial in my very difficult and different prescription. That was last year. This year, the same great customer service and exam doctor. I actually was able to "walk in" and be seen right after 9 this morning. I highly recommend this office for your eye care needs. The quality of the glasses is terrible. They charged me $400 for a pair, yet within just a few days, one of the lenses fell out. I went back to have them repaired, but right there on the spot, one of the lenses fell out again. The person assisting me saw that the problem persisted, but--to put it bluntly--told me that was all they could do and suggested I just buy another pair. I've been a patient of Dr. Flores for many, many years (maybe more that 10 years?) on and off as my insurance has changed between jobs. I always have gone back to Dr. Flores because she is amazing, kind, and super knowledgeable. She always takes the time to answer my questions and explain things even when their office is very busy (which is always). It makes me feel cared for and I leave feeling like I have a better understanding about my vision. When Dr. Flores has been unavailable, I've also seen Dr. Lam. One time a couple years ago, I had an eye infection and I was desperate to get some antibiotic drops. For some reason, my insurance wouldn't cover the prescription and Dr. Lam did everything she could to make sure we could find a way to get the prescription covered or at least at a lower cost. While I was at the pharmacy, Dr. Lam made herself available in between clients to call me on the phone and ensure things were working out for me. She even offered to speak with the pharmacist themselves. Last but not least, the office manager Sandra has been amazing over the years with her customer service skills and taking care of my needs. When I called to make my annual appointment, I mentioned I was running low on contacts and wanted to come in to update my prescription and order more. When I went in for my visit last week, she had already put together some trial contacts for me to take home because she knows I have a pretty bad prescription and wanted to make sure I didn't go without contacts since it takes about a week for my contact order to ship. On top that, when I went yesterday to pick up my contact order, she offered me to pull up to the curb and she'd bring the box out to me. She handed me the box and sent me home with a little chocolate! That made my day. Overall, the service here at Flores Optometry is amazing and I will continue to be a patient here forever. The other staff members are always VERY kind and helpful and it seems like they do a great job working together and enjoy working together. It's always a pleasant visit and great vibes. I loved Dr. Flores she really knows what she is doing. She spent a good amount of time explaining to me about what is going on with my eyes. This is the best eye doctor that I have ever seen in 15 years! The place has a parking structure in the back. The place has been renewed, is clean. I have been a long time client of Flores Optometry in San Leandro . I remain there as a client because of the high level of service I have received every time I visit. The staff is very friendly and efficient. My situation is a little more complex due to my eyesight, I wear glasses and contacts. It is challenging to get the contact lenses vision correct due to my situation. They had me sample 3 different contact lenses until we found a great fit. While there I was asked if I would like water, tea or a latte! Who does that nowadays???? THEY do! I had a great experience. I came here because I wanted a provider who sold Crizal lenses. Monica and Vanessa are both very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Dr Lam gave me the most thorough exam I have had in years. My only caveats are it would be nice if it they advised in their website that people should park in the back, not on E 14th.
