Dry Aged 14 oz. Ribeye and Lobster Macaroni and Cheese
    Kelsey P.

This meal was so damn good. I've eaten here several times but somehow I've not written a review. I got the 14 oz dry aged ribeye with truffle butter and lobster mac & cheese. I also got the flame old fashioned. This is probably the best meal I recall at Flame. It was perfection. My steak was cooked perfectly, and truffle butter makes everything taste good. The lobster mac & cheese was also divine. Our server was lovely, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the vibes in the red room is better than the rest of the restaurant in my opinion.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came here on our last night in Springfield for a fun dinner and had a wonderful time. We had reservations and got seated promptly upstairs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The table was very nice and our waitress was very pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Started with a cocktail and then ordered dinner. We got a bread basket and their specialty is popovers. Wow! It's been AGES since I had one and they do them very well! We might have even finagled a second and a third one... My fillet was perfectly cooked and my wife's medallions were as well. The candied bacon on top was quite yummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We really had a great time, with the only downside being the A/C blasting right at us made it a trifle chilly, but that was not enough to detract from the evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Garbage Salad with steak and Creamed Spinach and cheddar cheese jalapeño mashed potatoes.

Wow what a great find. My family was in town and wanted to have a nice steak dinner for my dad's birthday weekend. We found the Flame Steakhouse close to our hotel and are we lucky we did! Because the Flame was FIRE! First of all they come out with a tray of freshly baked bread and blueberry muffins. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was professional and the atmosphere was classy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place had a ton of character and felt like it could be a great jazz club.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But the food was what made this a great experience. The steaks had a fantastic sear and were seasoned to perfection. Every side I tried from the creamed spinach, loaded baked potato, French fries, and jalapeño cheddar mash were delicious. Everything I tried immediately became my favorite. The only problem was I didn't have two stomachs to fit it all. My wife had the salmon and she ate it all before even got a chance to try it. I had the garbage salad with steak and it was one of the best salads, every single bite had a great texture and flavor. Overall I'd say this is the best place in all of Springfield to enjoy a special evening with some really special food.

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary on Halloween!! We were celebrating six years and dressed in vampire costumes. The staff were amazing and our server was very attentive and personable. Our food tasted amazing, and we got a few cocktails, too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful restaurant, too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At the end, our waitress surprised us with a dessert tree that had chocolate-covered strawberries on it, and a sparkler to celebrate! She said it was because we were the first people all night to have costumes on. We were so appreciated, the experience was awesome! We will return again for a special occasion!

Beautiful restaurant in vintage "saloon style" space with high ceilings & balcony seating. Fabulous.

A rare find in the mid-west. "Flame" is on fire in food, wine, service & ambiance. "Flame" is located in a old brick vintage store front space with high ceilings. The ambiance is off the chart. A very dimly lit, very romantic, old wild wild west saloon style space with balcony style seating. Very beautiful & a very neat experience. Once the wine starts flowing you will think you are in a old saloon where real cowboys & gun slingers once gambled and dined with the fancy ladies swooning on the upper balconies. The service is impeccable, food & drinks top notch. We had the steamed Mussels in a garlic tarragon Beurre blanc sauce. One of my favorite sauces of all time. They nailed it. It was sublime. However, I wish it didn't come in a bread bowl. Garlic bread on the side would be much much better. I have never seen it served this way & wouldn't order it again in the bread bowl. Just garlic bread or regular bread on the side for moi. OuiOui. They also serve a 12 ounce bone in filet. It's the same as the Allen brothers cut. We order them at home from Allen brothers, it's our favorite bone in filet cut. Anyhoo, so we had to have the 12 ounce bone it filet bc it's a fabulous cut that we really enjoy. Flame offers their 12 ounce bone in filet peppercorn crusted etc., with your choice of sauce on the side. We chose the peppercorn crusted version with au poivre sauce on the side. They nailed it also. The crust was super crusty/crunchy peppery fabulousness cooked perfectly. 2.DIE.4. A MUST ORDER. Can not wait to return. Added to my steak house favorites list. Highest Recommendations.

Made it back to the place and another good visit…read more - see that bacon jam sauce on the burger?....that is darn good. I'm not one to mess with my traditional burger taste. But that bacon jams sauce really works! - The corn dip we had for an appetizer - that dish was really good. Did I say really? Yeah, really good. - Chicken sandwich - If I was you...I'd skip that one. Nothing special. Dry. Just not a good menu item. To the owners if they read this: The place is too nice to have counter service to order. Both times I've been here, it is always backed up and takes a good while to order. We were the 3rd group back last night. Parties of 2, each group was. And it takes too long. To end on a positive note: the place is neat and always great to have people revitalize an old building in our town.

Decided to check out this new, highly talked-about spot in Springfield, and it absolutely lived up…read moreto the hype. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They took the time to share the story behind the owners' vision, which made the experience feel much more personal. Their menu recommendations were thoughtful, highlighting both customer favorites and their own go-to picks, which is always something I appreciate. Everything we ordered was excellent. The coffee had exceptional depth of flavor without being overpowering, and the quiche was perfectly prepared with a delicate, buttery texture that paired beautifully with the cranberry-orange muffin. It's clear that attention to quality and consistency is a priority here. Beyond the food, the atmosphere deserves recognition. The space is beautifully designed, with tasteful décor that feels inviting without trying too hard. Whether you're meeting friends for lunch, enjoying a coffee date, catching up over brunch, treating yourself to a quiet afternoon, or looking for a comfortable place to study or work, this café offers the kind of environment that suits just about any occasion. We'll definitely be back--next time with friends to explore more of the lunch menu. Springfield is fortunate to have such a thoughtful and well-executed addition to its local dining scene.

Came here on a Friday night after dinner for one more drink before our friends had to go back home…read moreto their kids. When we walked in, it was surprisingly dead for a Friday night. The space itself seems large enough to host several large parties, and there are some TVs for sporting events as well, but it must not be very popular. The server came up an ass what we wanted to order and we told him we already had dinner and only wanted one more drink. Once we ordered our cocktail flight, we were anticipating to receive a flight meant for one person... similar to a beer flight. Especially because I told the server I was in between one specific drink or getting a flight as well. Needless to say, we were very surprised when each of us received 4 full-sized drinks. This looks great if you want to drink heavily, but we told the server we did not want more than one drink, so I would have expected him to call this out when we ordered. Even if we wanted to get tipsy, all the drinks from each of the flights tasted very watered down and with little alcohol. Receiving the bill for $55 afterwards for what should have been two drinks, was wild. I mentioned this to the server at the end once more and he just turned around and walked away without any care.
