This is now my go to place to get my car fixed. The first time I went there, my insurance company steered me there. I dropped my car off, they drove me to the rental place and I got text messages over the next few days giving me status updates. Once it was ready, I went to pick it up and noticed a scratch on the hood that was not there before. William, the manager, had it buffed out for free and it looked great. The second time I went there was due to a broken door handle. When I took it in to get it fixed, there was a small mixup and they were unable to fix it. So they had me come back, and fixed it for free to compensate for the mixup. Customer service and honesty is something that is usually lacking in this particular industry, but it is not lacking here. When you throw in the fact that they do good work also, I could not imagine going anywhere else. read more

My insurance took my car here to fix and after two weeks they estimated 9800$ to fix it and they predicted the time for fixing it would be around one month. The actual cost came out to ~15000$ and it took them 87 days to fix my car. During that period there were two weeks that didn't pay for my rental car. I didn't like the paint at all. There were many specks of dirt (small particles) beneath the paint that they were calling it 'imperfections'. I think they are painting outside or in a dirty place. They wasted my time twice to go there and wait until they polish them. But they never could actually polish all of them. They scheduled another visit that I didn't have time to go there. I took my car to check the brake 6 months after they fixed my car and the mechanic told me that my front tires wearing uneven. At that point, I sold my car. The car that I loved so much. read more

I'm 38.5 weeks pregnant and I ran over a fire hydrant with my new Jeep Grand Cherokee.. so embarrassing. I've never hit anything in my 15 years of driving. Not crazy damage but enough that the bumper was falling off and my car was not drivable (because I was afraid of it flying off as I was moving). With my impending delivery, I called my insurance and they referred me here. My insurance took my statement, said since I'm at fault (obviously) that I can go ahead and have fix auto give me a quote and start the repairs. They were able to get me in same day for an estimate and quoted me 5 days for the repairs. Seeing my giant belly (and probably my panicked face, what do you do if you go into labor while your car is in the shop? How do you decide if your husband takes his car into work an hour away from me or if I keep the car and have him catch a ride while I'm supposed to pop any moment?), they said "hey how about we take the color of your car today, order the parts, paint the bumper ahead of time, we'll schedule the wheel repair guy (there was a hefty scratch in my gorgeous new rim) to come in specially for you, and we'll schedule the drop off once the bumper is painted. That way we can get the car done in 3 days." So that's what we did! I was so happy with how flexible they were and how helpful and accommodating they were for my "situation"! this plan allowed me to keep my car a few extra days in case I went into labor, and they popped the bumper back together so I could at least drive it around town aka to the hospital if I needed to. So I dropped it off Tuesday first thing in the morning and it was super easy, I signed the release and there were no headaches. They said Thursday afternoon it'd be don. But Wednesday afternoon they called and said the car is done! So 1.5 days, a day (and an entire night!) sooner than they quoted me! I didn't go into labor, and I have time to install the car seat before baby girl comes! The work looks beautiful! While I don't know much about cars, I am a perfectionist (a dental hygienist) and notice all the details. While the work was mostly cosmetic, I am very happy with how good it looks! Thank you so much fix auto!! You were extremely professional, beyond accommodating and gave me piece of mind during what could've have been a very stressful period of time! I am so thankful to have found a quality auto body shop with employees who treat customers with kindness! You didn't have to go above and beyond, but you did! I see why your shop is always so busy. The inspection, dealing with the other insurance who was at fault, the estimate, and being able to pick up my rental that was just across the street from the body shop made the experience stress free while they fixed my car. I would give them zero stars if I could. This was the worst customer service experience ever. They ended up breaking a part when they put the door back together and tried to hide it on us. We noticed it as soon as we got home. When I called, they acted like they knew about it all along and said the part was backordered. Since we were traveling at the time, we needed them to send it to us. Eventually, after we called them, they sent us another broken part! The service manager is extremely rude and sounds like he wants to start a fight if you have a question for him. The lack of communication was astounding. Never bring your car here! The turnover of employees is practically daily. Whatever you spoke about with yesterday's guy was not communicated to the new guy. They'll promise you a completion date and then change it multiple times. In my case, they lost a check from an insurance company and lied by claiming it never arrived. Then they held my car hostage and wouldn't give it to me even though they spoke to the adjuster, who guaranteed the small outstanding supplement. When I arrived to get the car, no manager was onsite. I called the police to report the theft of my vehicle, but by the time the officer arrived, they'd spoken yet again to the adjuster, who again guaranteed the payment - we're talking abo Na on some $3,000 worth of work. Did I mention I've been a customer for 3 vehicles over some 7 years? There are too many professional and ethical body shops in town to deal with this amount of drama and such incompetent unprofessionals. read more

Fix Auto is among the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, if not THE worst. I brought my car in on 8/19 with damage to a door and light cover - no internal/structural damage at all. I was told it would take two weeks and that I would get text message updates about the status of my car. They first told me that the pickup date was 9/6. On 9/5 I got a text saying the pickup date was 9/12. On 9/12 the pickup changed to 9/14. On 9/13 the pickup changed to 9/17. So I called and told them that I didn't trust that it would be ready by 9/17 and to just give me a realistic pickup date. They said 9/21 at the latest, but that I would personally get a call with a status update, and that it should still be 9/17. So on 9/17 I called to confirm that I could come by and was told yes, the car was ready. When I got there, they were closed. I got someone's attention who was working in the back and he said no, the car wasn't ready, and that they would call me Monday with a status update. So I came by on 9/20 to look at the car and see if they had done any work on it. The car had a new door but the light was still being repaired. They assured me to my face that I could come by on 9/21. So I called on 9/21 and nope, the car wasn't ready, but tomorrow for sure. I called on 9/22 and they said yes, absolutely, come right now and it'll be done when you get here. They called me 5 minutes after that to say never mind, the part we ordered doesn't fit. So basically, I was mad about being lied to - they told me it would be 2 weeks and it wasn't. Told me they would text me with updates which stopped after a month and were wrong anyway. Told me many times I would be called with status updates and I never was. Told me twice I could pick it up when it wasn't ready yet. And told me repeatedly that it would be done "tomorrow", but when I called "tomorrow" to confirm, THEN they realize the part doesn't fit? As in, they wouldn't have even looked at the car they promised to finish if I hadn't called in? If they had just been honest with me, and said, "We have no idea how long this will take, and we aren't going to update you, you'll just have to call us every day", that would have been better. Finally it was finished on 9/23, more than a month after I dropped it off. The only reason they get two stars is because the actual work seems to be pretty good.. I can't see any obvious mistakes and I had it checked by my dealer who said it looked fine. But the frustration of dealing with this auto body shop makes me say... please avoid this place, even if your insurance company recommends it! Get better, honest service somewhere else! read more

I have used this body shop on two separate occasions for body damage repairs. On the first occasion the quality of the work was excellent and the customer service was very good. However, I had a very different experience the second time. Evidently there were management or personnel changes in the interim and the experience was entirely the opposite of the first one. They missed their own delivery estimates twice and when I first went to pick it up found that the repairs were sub-standard (poor paint work, damage to the paint on an unaffected adjacent body part), and an improperly applied windshield gasket. I rejected the repairs and directed them to address the deficiencies. Layer on top of the poor work a very poor customer service experience: 40 minute wait for the car to be brought around after payment (including numerous "One second" put-offs when I inquired about status), 90 minute wait (they quoted 20) for a ride to the shop to pick up the car the second time, etc. and you can understand why I am extremely reluctant to go back to this business. read more

Major vandalism on the car and these folks had to take apart the car and repair it all - the paint job they did on the car, was how the car looked when I bought it brand new. We were referred here by GEICO. Took almost a month but, frankly, the work was worth it. Not only did they replace the rear bumper, they replaced the hatch, cleaned the car inside and out, and so much itemized work. It was pristine when they were finished. I called them the day before pickup and they said it'd be ready by the end of day next day. Called the next morning and kept to that, saying it'd be done around 4:30, and it was. Overall, if you don't mind waiting a while, we did have excellent service and were extremely pleased with the Prius's repairs and cleanliness when they were done. read more

Every time I called in to check on my car it was they promised it would be ready the following day. It is now 1/17, I still do not have my car. READ THIS! Toyota of Pasadena sent me to Fix Auto to get body damage repair. If you have ANY items of worth or personal items in your car REMOVE them before going to Fix Auto. I had speakers, tools, 2 kids scooters w/ helmets, a bicycle STOLEN from my car at Fix Auto. Many items could NOT have been stolen until the rear door was removed from the vehicle. When I went to get my items out of my car, the NEXT day, the rear door was removed and my car had obviously be rifled through, ALL items of worth were stolen and the management denies that it could have happened "our employees are honest" they said. BE ON TIME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT! I was refused service for showing up 14 minutes late, even after I called ahead. I had a 7:30 AM appointment and arrived at 7:44 (late start out the door with my wife and three kids and three car seats). I called the phone number listed online at 7:31 saying I would arrive by 7:45. The phone did not go straight to the Pasadena location. It went to a call center. The receptionist said they would relay the message via email. If they were going to turn me away for late arrival, they should have warned me on the phone. I later learned the adjuster did not receive my message. When I arrived, I was first greeted by the very friendly Enterprise agent (who ultimately saved the day by referring us to Markham Boling down the street!). The GEICO Auto Damage Adjuster, Alen Khanyan, was the third person to greet us. My wife had already unloaded the children and three car seats before the Alen the adjuster even emerged from his desk to say we were late. He was very slow to get up from his desk, slow to walk over to our car, and even slower at saying "you're late. I can't see you today because you'll disrupt my 8 o' clock appointment." Alen left me, my wife, and three children standing in the rain and refused to accommodate us. He said he had a full day of appointments and we could come back tomorrow. He said it takes 25 minutes to "do the paperwork." I said, "how about we start the paperwork, and if your 8 AM is on time, we pause until you have another lull in your day?" He first agreed, we shook hands, then went inside. Then he spent another four minutes looking up the number of his 8 AM appointment to call and see if she was going to be on time. When she said yes, he then refused to start my paperwork. Period. Deal broken. IT'S CLEAR FROM THIS & OTHER REVIEWERS THAT FIX AUTO IS NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR BUSINESS. IF YOU WANT GOOD, FRIENDLY SERVICE, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Johnnies is now Fix Auto but I figured I'd put a review here as well. This place rocks! My insurance company recommended them because they were close to my job and they didn't disappoint. I was rear-ended so I put that claim through that guy's insurance and I thought while I was at it I might as well get some prior damage fixed through my own provider; so I had two claims on my car from two different insurance companies and David was so helpful is getting all the ducks in a row. He even hounded the other guy's insurance company when they were super slow in paying me, which took the load off of me to call every day. They're super close to a Hertz rental car so I made a plan to walk over when I dropped off my car but alas no need, David has Hertz on speed dial so they came and picked me up and dropped me off when my car was ready, which it was very quickly. Will is the manager and handles a lot of the estimates and car details. He really made me feel at ease with leaving my car there. I figured since my car would be looking brand new again I might as well as some niceties... so I ordered a spoiler and some wheel covers online. I had the spoiler shipped directly to Fix Auto and they attached it for me for free. The wheel covers were my own headache as they ended up not fitting (my bad for buying online). I am a mechanic's daughter so my Dad has instilled in me to be weary of anyone (other than him) fixing my car but I chose to move 3k miles away from home so I had no choice but to look around. These guys are friendly, courteous and honest. I'd definitely go back but for the sake of my car and my insurance policy I hope to not have to. read more

My car was brought here after an accident they did a very good, it looks and runs excellent as of me writing this. Throughout all of this William was courteous, to the point and no BS, he was in constant communication and when one issue has come up he is making a strong effort to rectify it. Someone backed up into both doors on the driver side of my 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Went to several other places around the area and estimates ranged from $1500 to over $2500. I came to Fix Auto and a guy walks up, I show him my car, and comes up with a quick estimate and said: "Other places are going to charge you $1200 to $1500; I'll do it for half the price, $600." I asked why so cheap and he said: "I try to give good prices to get your business for life. My work comes with a lifetime warranty and you only pick up your car when you think my work is good enough." I agreed signed a paper and was out in like 10 minutes - really efficient. It only took around 1 day to fix and when I got it back it looked as good as new. The paint was perfect, no dings in the metal, no weird warps in the door shell. Also when I gave them my car it was sooo dirty inside and out. When i got it back the car was SOOOO clean - they even vacuumed, dusted, and removed all the stains from the inside... Only $600, cleaned my car, picked it up the next day, the body work was perfect, lifetime warranty, they were nice and quick... They have my business for life. read more

Another happy Geico customer referred here. Had a minor fender bender on my 2012 IS 350. Initially, I met with Geico adjuster there at the body shop who was great. Quote was good. I did some researching online and decided to take my car there for the repairs.I had limited time as I was about to go on vacation and they promised the vehicle could be repaired within my time frame. I had my concerns, I didn't want to have to leave the car there while I was out of town, but they promised it could be completed on time. Upon picking up the car 5 days later, the repair was made and it looked great. Except there was some glue or tape marks from masking and paint blending left at various locations on the car. Vatche said he would have it cleaned up, but I was out of time. He told me to bring the vehicle back at my leisure and they would do a full detail on it. I returned a few weeks later and they cleaned it up and polished it nicely. The extremely friendly and personable staff made doing business with Fix Auto a pleasure. Ariel the receptionist is wonderful, attentive and addressed my every concern. There was one time I needed a ride back home and Vatche had a driver bring me home. Can't say enough as to how determined they were to make me feel like I was important and did everything possible to make me feel like they were there just for me. Thank you all at Fix Auto for taking care of my car. Oh, BTW, all work from them comes with a lifetime warranty. Just a note: They are on Foothill almost across from In 'N Out, street parking is sometimes hard to find. Don't drive to fast or you will pass right by the shop. The driveway into the shop is usually open enough to squeeze a car or two into the business, but they are a busy repair shop and it can get crowded from time to time. read more

I had my Lexus backed into in my back bumper last month and I had Fix Auto do my work. Vatche and his crew were very helpful in going over the repair and set good expectations. I have gone to get my car fixed elsewhere in Pasadena on a couple of occasions and It's been hit and miss as far as my satisfaction. These folks were awesome. My car looks great and can't tell anything had been done. I had the car sooner than I expected and my specialist Rafael was super communicative and helpful during the process. I even got text messages as well during the time they were working on it. The sign of a good auto body place is when you do not have to reach out to them. I took my vehicle in for repairs through my insurance and had them work on a very small part of my vehicle. I walked in and an old lady with blonde hair sitting on the front desk said what was i in for. I tried to explain to her and she would cut me off and not let me explain to her correctly and she would give me the look as if she was bothered by something or maybe because did not have her coffee. She was the worst of the worst in customer service. They fixed my truck fast and was called in to pick up my vehicle. I picked up my vehicle and inspected it as much as i can since due to the cold weather alot of fog accumulated over my truck since i picked it up at 7:30 as soon as they opened up. I left home and let my truck sit so the fog can clear out my vehicle. I then clearly inspected my vehicle and realized where they "fixed" was full of paint drips and dots and also noticed my whole vehicle was scratched. I immediately contacted them and took it in for inspection and they noticed the part they fixed was not buffed and i went over the fact they had scratched my whole vehicle they did not want to do anything about it. After several minutes of going back and forth with the manager he decided the part that was fixed should be buffed. After several hours of waiting the side they "fixed" was buffed. My vehicle was given to me after it was buffed with the same paint drips and dots and i complained to them once again which the manager was not happy about. He stated he will take it in and go over it with a special sand paper. After 4 hours of waiting i get my truck back and realized they had made the part they fixed even worse after going over it with the sand paper they claimed would fix the bad paint job they did. I was really upset and wanted to go home so i went over my truck and realized several other small dents that were not on my vehicle when i dropped it off for the repairs but once brought up to the manager he insisted he will not go further down the line to fix what they damaged. Now i have to pay someone else to fix what they made worse on my vehicle. I would never go back to them even if i was paid to go back to them. Worst body shop ever. read more

I would avoid this place at all costs. Took our Mustang in for repair to rear bumper and tailpipe. They said it would be 2 weeks. When I asked, "why so long for a bumper repair?'The man pointed to their lot full of cars, jammed in like sardines , and replied, "That's why! And I have another lot just as full across the street!" I immediately had an uncomfortable feeling that my car wouldnt matter at all to them. They were all about getting as many repairs as possible . After 3 weeks, they said the car would be ready to pick up. Called on that day, only to have them say it is not ready. 2 days later, finally picked up the car, after signing all the paperwork first " while they are bringing the car around", only to realize the paint didnt match and there was a drip running down it. It was very sloppy work. No pride in repair what so ever, and the rest of the car was filthy. Tried to return it that day, to redo the work, only to have them refuse and tell me to bring it back on Monday. So we did. They said it would be ready the following day, that came and went, the car not ready. This time the excuse was that one of the rooms where they paint cars caught on fire! So they were down to one room and had a back log. After another week of baiting us with false promises of being ready, finally picked up the car the following week. Repair was satisfactory this time. After almost 5 weeks of being led along, we had our car back. I was determined to take the car, no matter how bad they repaired it, just so I could take it to a real auto body repair shop. WE WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN! IF OUR INSURANCE COMPANY REQUIRES THAT WE DO, WE WILL CHANGE INSURANCE COMPANIES WHEN TIME COMES FOR RENEWAL. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! read more
