Came out of a store to find that someone had hit the bumper of my car and popped out the grille piece. The grille piece was attached to wires and sensors, so it was not easy to put back in myself. The person who damaged my car left without a note, of course. Took my car to the dealer today who referred me to Caliber Collision on Walnut. Alex and his staff were so kind and helpful. Basically one of the technicians was able to popped the grille piece back into place from underneath and behind the bumper. Had they removed the entire bumper, it would have cost me at least $600 because the sensors would need to be recalibrated. So basically they helped me out and fixed my bumper and grille for no charge! In this day and age, I find this level of kindness and service rare. This was a 5 star experience from beginning to end because the staff handled everything and my car was ready in just over a week (I expected longer). I had a really great experience with Pedro and the team at Caliber Collision after my car was in an accident. The whole process can be stressful, but they made it so much easier. Pedro kept me updated throughout the repair, which I really appreciated. He would check in and let me know how things were going, so I never felt like I was in the dark about what was happening with my car. They also handled the insurance company for me, which was a huge relief because they were not the easiest to deal with. Everyone there was incredibly helpful. After a recent fender bender, I was referred here by my auto insurance company. I suppose it's a good thing I'd never heard of this place, but apparently they've been here for years. Interestingly, they have another location a short distance away on Colorado Blvd. I made an appointment online to drop off my car. Jose handled this initial visit, estimating a 2-week repair process. I was texted often on the progress of the repair. After further inspection, they texted me a new 3-week time frame. However, after less than 2 weeks, Pedro called me and said the car would in fact be ready in a few days. I specified the best day I could come for pick-up, and he made sure the car was ready that day. When I picked the car up, it was cleaner and spiffier than I've ever seen it since I bought it, since I loathe washing it myself. It was washed and detailed; they even put that stuff on the tires that makes them look shiny. Great job Caliber, Jose and Pedro! As an aside, Caliber works with Enterprise if you need a car rental. They have several locations in Pasadena. Since my insurance doesn't cover a rental car, I made my own less costly arrangements with Hertz after the first day with Enterprise. read more

I brought my Mercedes GLC300 there for a rear passenger window repair. The only thing they wanted to know was what my deductible with my insurance was. once i told them they told me that my deductible was, the price for the window was over $1000 for the glass and install...I asked them why it was so high and they said Mercedes uses "special glass." I asked them what the cash price was and they said it was the same price as the deductible. They want to rip you off. I went to Safelite down the street and it was $400 TOTAL! NEVER GO HERE. I brought my car in on Tuesday but the part wasn't immediately available. Pedro said the part would arrive by Thursday which it did but getting the work completed by Friday at close might be difficult because they like to finish current jobs by Friday at closing time. We made an appointment for the following Monday. I brought the car in Monday morning and to my surprise it was finished later that day, good as new. I wasn't going to leave a review because it is no in my nature but I keep finding mistakes and damage from the work I had done here. I came in for a simple tail light replacement, but during the repair, they damaged serval other parts of my car. Including cracking my tailgate hatch and leaving several dents in places where tools were clearly used. They initially claimed the cracked tailgate was pre-existing, but the photos proved otherwise. While they eventually replaced it at no charge, I had to return again the day after picking up my car because they forgot to plug in my trunk button. On closer inspection, the work was extremely careless--the gasket is uneven, and the interior panel is misaligned and again they left scratches and dents where they were working. The staff were friendly, but the quality of the repair was the worst I've experienced. I've been so upset about it and the last thing someone wants when spending money on their car is to find more damage than when they brought it in. Do not recommend. read more

When my car came in after my accident, I knew that it was more than external and that damage was also internal. Initially, caliber collision was only going to fix my bumper, and other external marks. When I let the front desk know about that I had concerns of internal damages, she quickly called over Pedro. He asked me what occurred and patiently heard my concerns. He offered to take me around the back so I could point out the damages further and he could get a better understanding. After I explained everything, he diligently made note of my concerns and stated that I was correct - there was damage internally that the insurance had not told them about. He stated he would quickly get back to the insurance about this, and explained to me that they would go back to inspect the car with their mechanic and communicate it with the insurance company. I was so thankful that we spoke, and he was able to understand what I was trying to say and took action! After only a few days, he let me know what the issue was and next thing you know my car was read for pick up in about a week. When I first saw my car, I didn't even recognize it! It was clean and scratches were gone, my bumper was fixed and most importantly when I turned my car on it did not make a weird sound anymore! Thank you so much to Pedro for taking care of my car, and to the nice front desk woman and to Caliber commission!
