I own one of 2 AMG GTS P71's/ two tone blue/ with carbon fiber, in the greater LA area. One bad car wash could ruin the paint. 200k car could be ruined by taking it to the wrong place. Hans started on the interior of the car and later in the morning Alex came and finished the car. It was a fabulous job. They were able to handle the fur in the back seat and cleaned up a paint transfer situation on my wheel well. They spent a long time making sure that I was happy with the work they they did on my car and even encouraged me to take a few days to see if I was still happy and if I wasn't to call them back. Alex did a stellar job with my VW GTI. It needed a FULL cleaning both inside and out, and they did not disappoint. My car was absolutely sparkling after. They helped explain exactly what I needed and all for a very fair price. The inside had been vacuumed and wiped down. They restored the trim and used a "rinseless wash n wax" method which was what made it so frickin sparkly. He also told me it saves about 15 gallons of water compared to a regular car wash! I hate to leave a bad review, but I wish I had known what I was getting when hiring Altadena Detailing. On the one hand, they cleaned my car well. On the other hand, they managed to damage my parking sensors while doing the detail, which cost me $495.10 to repair. At first, Alex took full responsibility for damaging the sensors: he said he was going to speak to his insurance company to get them to cover it. He even attempted to fix the sensors--unfortunately with duct tape, which only made the problem worse --but he was soon looking for any reason possible to avoid responsibility. He acknowledged that he damaged the sensors, but he thought that they had already been damaged in an accident. He said he wouldn't take responsibly until I provided maintenance records and the CarFax report. When I provided both of these, he changed his tune and said he had not damaged the car. I asked him whether the insurance company could cover it, but he never replied. So much for the The "million-dollar insurance policy" mentioned on the website, "ensuring that you are covered in the rare event of any unexpected issues." I appreciate that Alex did refund the $225 cost of the cleaning, but even this only came after I send a "demand letter" indicating that I was taking the issue to small claims court. Save yourself a headache and find someone else to detail your car. read more
