We were greeted with as hearty hello and told we could sit anywhere. Country music and a rustic vibe made it easy to enjoy sloppy food. (Not in a bad way) I ordered the burger with an egg on top. It was huge. I didn't think I could eat it but I did. My husband got party wings. He thought they were as good as any fried chicken we have had. The only thing missing was a cold beer. They serve huge Pepsi products The owner came out to make sure we were happy. Then a server came out to see if he could get us anything more No way, we were too full Will we go back again, you betcha

I don't write reviews often, but this experience made me make an exception…read more Pros: The dining area looks very nice and I enjoyed the decor. That's it. That's all the pros. Cons: My partner and I decided to stop here on our way to an event for dinner. We had 40 minutes to get to a place 5 minutes away from this restaurant. We figured we had plenty of time. When we walked in, all staff were on their phones and did not notice us. There was ONE customer in the dinning area. We had to approach staff because not only were they on their phones around the corner from the only guest, they all had their backs turned to the door. It's possible the place has a bell or something to alert staff to customers. If so, no one could hear it because the place had Spotify playing excessively loudly. After we got the attention of staff and were seated, the waitress walked away and stared into her phone for 10 minutes before coming to ask for our drink order. We told her we wanted to order fully. We had to repeat our order MULTIPLE TIMES because she could not hear us over the music and we could not hear her. We asked if the music could be turned down three times and were refused. After placing our order, she came back shortly to tell us they did not have the appetizer we ordered and tried to get us to order a specific app we did not want and had no interest in. Eventually, we were served our burgers with 15 minutes left to eat and pay if we did not want to be late. When we got our food, both of our orders were wrong. My partner attempted to call out to the waitress (who was on her phone again), but could not be heard over the music. I had to SHOUT "Ma'am" at the waitress standing 10 feet away to get her attention because the music was so loud. We told her the burgers were incorrect and we needed to send them back. She tried to talk to us but no one could hear each other because of the constant music playing. She got the manager who came and asked what was wrong. We explained that one of the burgers should have been plain and the other should have had only lettuce on it. We then showed her that my burger had all condiments listed on the menu on it and my partner's burger had toppings that weren't even listed on the burger to begin with, including pickles which we both have mild allergies to. After the manager herself took our order, she came back with a menu and tried to justify somehow both the one burger made to menu standard and the surprise toppings on the other. Less than a minute afterwards, my partner's burger was brought out finally made correctly. She did not tell me until we left they had simply scraped off the condiments from the bun and she could still taste them on the burger and bun. She stopped eating after three bites. Several minutes later (and now making us late to our event), my food was brought. It was also made wrong yet again, but it was also plain now. My partner left the dinning room to take a call and to escape the noise of the music. I asked the manager lady for the bill and mentioned how they still had not made my burger as ordered. She apologized and said she would discount the tab for the troubles. The bill was not brought to the table until AFTER I had fully finished my sandwich. Neither of us were given any napkins or silverware at all, and my burger came with a sticky sauce I had to wash off in the restroom. The initial waitress brought me our bill. There was zero discount at all. I tipped incredibly low. I will never, under ANY circumstance, return to this establishment. For less than half of the price of two meals made incorrectly and lazily "fixed", I could have driven across 56th street to Burger King and gotten a burger made correctly and not have had to spend an hour being subjected to somebody's terrible rap music Spotify playlist (which included the song "My D*ck" by Mickey Avalon) being blasted so loudly that I got a headache from it. I wish them the very worst of success.

I saw a TikTok about the Farmhouse restaurant breakfast buffet and immediately ran to DH. We haven't had a good place to go to since The Garrison in Ft Benjamin Harrison shut down so I was excited to see this place had a breakfast buffet. If COVID taught me anything, it's to call first to make sure the information and times are correct. I called on Friday August 21st to verify that the buffet is Saturdays and they open at 8 AM. I was informed that the information was correct. On Saturday morning, we woke up early and drove 26 miles to be there at 8 AM. At a few minutes after 8 we walked to the restaurant. There was no one in sight working. I couldn't see a cook or cashier. I did see the completely bare buffet table though. I thought, okay, it's early...we'll walk around the store and check things out for a few and come back. We came back at 8:15 and the buffet was still bare. This time there were two women talking near the kitchen so I went over and waited. When they were finished talking I asked when the buffet would be done. One lady asked the other who was walking away and going over to the buffet table and maybe turn it on? She was visibly annoyed to be answering that question. I couldn't hear what she was saying because of the noise of the grocery store but it took her like 2 minutes to answer the first woman and she relayed that it would be like another 30 minutes. The reason given was "due to the flooding". The restaurant is miles away from River Road but I didn't know what flooding she might be talking about so I thanked her and went on our merry way. After leaving the building we discussed that we might as well wait since we drove to Carmel for the breakfast buffet. So after driving around going nowhere particular since nothing is open at 8:15 we swung back around to The Farmhouse and lo and behold, the breakfast buffet table was still empty 50 minutes after the restaurant opened. Once again, there was no employee in sight. I took the video at that time. The only items out were for salads. Terrible restaurant. Very disappointed in how things were handled, the lack of service and no actual breakfast buffet. We will not try to come back here.

Our favorite server, Adam was at his best today hustling from table to table and keeping up his pleasant demeanor and sparkling personality. I'm bummed that they don't make the hash in-house nor do they have the smoked pork chops any longer. But...the grilled pork chops are grilled to perfection - very juicy with just a touch of pink. Plate that with two eggs over medium and a bowl of grits and I'm your fan. I chose toast rather than the pancakes or French toast to watch my waistline and I still took a chop home. Tami had the scrambled eggs with grits and French toast. No, we didn't quite 'roll' out but we were 'Fuller than a Brush man' - those of you over 70 know what I'm talking about.

On my most recent visit, I sat at the bar with a few friends, and Alex and Zach absolutely made the experience. They were attentive, welcoming, and struck the perfect balance between genuine conversation and excellent hospitality. I wasn't sure what I wanted to drink, so Alex recommended the Lavender 75, and I'm so glad he did. It was light, refreshing, perfectly floral, and paired beautifully with dinner. Throughout the evening, both Alex and Zach were constantly checking in, making sure my drink was full and that we had everything we needed. Their service alone is enough to make me come back. As for the food, I order the Pot Roast Sliders every single time because I truly think they're one of the best dishes in Cicero. They're packed with flavor, incredibly tender, and the portions are generous enough that I always have leftovers to take home. This visit I customized my meal by skipping the bun and adding mashed potatoes instead, and wow...it was absolutely incredible. The Red Bridge Bistro has become one of my favorite restaurants. Between the outstanding staff, incredible cocktails, and consistently amazing food, it's a place I recommend to everyone. I can't wait for my next visit!

SERVICE: 5/5 We made a reservation, but arrived early and were still seated promptly. Kristi and the other food runners were awesome at tending to us, answering our questions, and very personable. AMBIANCE: 4/5 The space tends to the darker side with a tall divider wall separating a dining space from the decently-sized bar area that also includes booths and tables for dining. They also have a large patio space to the west of the building, where they have a trailer serving beverages and live music available. Only real negative was the the door to the patio space was right next to our booth in the northwest corner of the bar area, which allowed a brisk breeze in each time it was opened. FOOD: 4/5 The Bavarian Pretzel ($13) is large and decent. It's served on an upright pretzel holder, heavily salted, and served with a beer cheese that seemed a tad runny and a spicy maple mustard that seemed more sweet than spicy. My wife ordered Blackened Fish Tacos ($17), which come as an order of 2 with cabbage and onion and a side of chips and salsa. She said the tacos were very tasty, the chips and salsa were just OK. I ordered the Blackened Fish Sandwich ($17), which was served on a hoagie-type roll with lettuce, tomato, and onions along with a pickle and side of house-made chips. The fish sandwich had good flavor, and while I appreciated that they made their chips, their flavor was just OK and I couldn't easily access many of the crumbs that scattered through the bottom of the basket. OVERALL: 4/5 Food was good to very good. For the prices charged, the value was not as good as we would have liked. *They do appear to have a happy hour Tuesday-Friday 4:00-6:00 that offers half price on the wings and pretzel as well as some beverage specials.

But I thought that maybe I should branch out and try something new. This time, I got a scoop of the Classic Carol and Olivia's Old South. The Classic Carol is great: It's like what you think of when you think of chicken salad. Olivia's Old South is not for me, even though I thought it would be. It has hardboiled eggs in it! I love hardboiled eggs. So it's kind of like a chicken salad and an egg salad combined, which sounded awesome because I love both of those things. But in reality, I can't get with eating the babies and the mommas together, you know? Also, it has sweet relish in it, so it's very sweet. Too sweet, if you ask me. (And you didn't ask me, but I'm telling you.) And lastly, it's a little wet. Why is it so wet? So, Olivia's Old South will not be a chicken salad that I will be eating again. This Chicken Salad Chick location is very much like the other ones: very clean, friendly service, people coming by to check up on you. It's a nice place to get a little lunch.
