Like maybe try correctly explaining to your customers where to go instead of having them guess where to go, and maybe just try being a little nicer to your paying customers. Not impressed...

The line wasn't…read morelong, but the place was packed and we quickly realized that most of the seated patrons were waiting on their to-go orders. The young lady at the register had a great smile and was sort of soft-spoken; I think she may have been new because the person at the register next to her had to help her figure out how to ring something in. She couldn't really explain what malted milk was either, but neither can I, so there's that. I was given my chocolate malted milk shake almost right away. After waiting about 15-20 minutes, our order came up. As per usual, they gave us an abundance of fries. I never order two orders of fries because one will suffice. They overfill it and put tons extra in your bag. By the time we got home, the bun was a little soggy, but my burger was on point. Because of the soggy bun, my boyfriend was a bit disappointed with his and barely ate half. My Little Cheeseburger had mayo, grilled onions and A.1. steak sauce on it and the flavor profile was magnificent! You should try it!

Absolutely terrible experience at the Five Guys on E. 82nd Street in Castleton…read more I waited over 45 minutes just to get my order, despite having only an hour lunch break. When I finally asked the woman working about the delay, her response was essentially that it wasn't her problem and questioned why I was concerned about not having my order despite being on my lunch break. I eventually asked for a refund because I no longer had enough time to wait, and she refused to refund me. To make matters worse, when I finally received the food, one of the two burgers was missing the bacon that we specifically ordered. So after waiting over 45 minutes, dealing with an incredibly dismissive employee, and losing a significant portion of my lunch break, the order wasn't even prepared correctly. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but 45+ minutes, poor communication, dismissive customer service, refusing a refund, and then getting the order wrong is completely unacceptable. This was one of the worst customer-service experiences I've had at a fast-casual restaurant. I will not be returning to this location. Five Guys needs to seriously address the customer service and order accuracy at this location.

With this pandemic, I'll openly admit it has been several months since I've found myself anywhere…read morenear a mall. However, today I found myself needing multiple items that could all be found within the confines of Castleton and knew that I was going to be in that area anyway. So, mask in hand I headed this direction hoping that current health directives were being enforced and that I wouldn't come home with any dastardly viruses. It's not particularly surprising that the mall has experienced some turnover over the course of these months including businesses leaving and businesses arriving. This business, Fresh Burger, takes over the spot vacated by another burger vendor - Indy Burger. Fresh Burger is, as you could probably guess, a burger joint. It's a fairly basic burger joint that opened up in late October and serves a handful of different burgers (made with 100% halal beef), housemade chicken fingers, a chili dog, milkshakes, ice cream, and some sides including some fry variations. They serve fountain soft drinks plus lemonade. I did not see any iced tea options on the menu. The prices are pretty reasonable - you can definitely eat for under a ten spot. You can order a sandwich alone and add fries and a drink for $3.29. As noted, Fresh Burger is located inside the food court. It's easily accessible since all mall entryways include automated doors and the food court is still open concept. Masks are being enforced. Tables are all 6' apart. This has reduced capacity for sure, but it feels safer. I had to hunt for a place to eat, but I'd rather have that than a virus. I ordered a burger, fries, and a lemonade. My meal came in right about $7.52. The staff was friendly, though it seemed their business was slow and, as such, it seemed like response time was a bit slow. I initially waited a couple minutes at the counter and watched while 1-2 customers did the same. It wasn't bad at all, but definitely noticeable. How was the food? Quite middling. I actually would say it was somewhat better than Indy Burger. The fries were slightly thicker, though I felt like they were a bit rushed since I was actively waiting. They were salted a bit more than I typically prefer. The burger was delivered as ordered and was on a lightly toasted bun. It was decent enough - it's the only burger option in the mall, so if you're craving a burger it'll probably satisfy the craving. I didn't dislike anything, but I'm not sure there was anything here that would make me jump to Fresh Burger as my first choice in this food court considering chick-fil-a and a pizza joint remain options here. However, if I were craving a burger or even a shake the reasonable prices would be enough to convince me to eat here again.
