I was in a mood for a burger one night so I decided to order a cheeseburger with fries at Five Guys through Uber Eats. I have been to Five Guys in person many times, so I am used to the ambiance and the service in person. Five Guys is an excellent burger place and they use the right oils when preparing the French fries. The burgers are pure 100% beef and always made to order. The potatoes for the French fries are pure Idaho potatoes, and cholesterol free. You can get unlimited toppings for the burger with a charge for certain toppings. The service is wonderful and the ambiance is very relaxing and relaxing. I have always enjoyed the burger and fries at Five Guys and will continue to do so for years to come. The table had to be cleaned so we could eat there. Every table but 1 was dirty as well as the floor. Whoever made this five guys should get an award. When I went here the staff was so nice to me! While I ordered a hamburger with ketchup and bacon. While I was done ordering, i knew it was going to take long cause we were in a crazy storm that destroyed my umbrella. Hadn't been to Five Guys in ages. We had burger, cheeseburger, fries and milkshake. The castleton location has one of those fancy coke machines where all the flavors taste like a mix of flavors. Ok if you want that but annoying when you want just plain coke. Milkshake was very good, real chocolate taste. Burgers were big, tasty and fresh. My boyfriend and I popped in to grab a quick bite to take home with us on 3/27. The line wasn't long, but the place was packed and we quickly realized that most of the seated patrons were waiting on their to-go orders. The young lady at the register had a great smile and was sort of soft-spoken; I think she may have been new because the person at the register next to her had to help her figure out how to ring something in. She couldn't really explain what malted milk was either, but neither can I, so there's that. I was given my chocolate malted milk shake almost right away. After waiting about 15-20 minutes, our order came up. As per usual, they gave us an abundance of fries. I never order two orders of fries because one will suffice. They overfill it and put tons extra in your bag. By the time we got home, the bun was a little soggy, but my burger was on point. After a 2 year self-imposed "burger and fries hiatus", I returned to Five Guys again ... And MAN have I missed this place! All of the things in my previous review still ring true -- the amazing burgers, fresh toppings, and my FAVORITE hand-cut fries are all still top notch. However, our visit today also made me notice something about this location. It is SO clean and the people are SO friendly. The gentleman taking our order was the sweetest and even came out to visit us mid-meal to ensure everything was great. When we complimented the fries (they were absolutely perfect and on point today), he ensured we got a few more fresh ones to enjoy. When he mentioned "I have my best guy on fries today", he wasn't kidding! So yes. It's a chain. Suck it up and just give it a try. $15 to fill the hubs and me both up for the day is a bargain. OMG, I almost took a flip when I had this place for the first time. I really didn't believe the hype about these old fashion tasting burgers, and honestly I grew up in California and not too many places can top the flavor of in and out for me. However, hubby decided to take me to this place and I was impressed. First, I love the fact that they real mayo. Mayo is my BFF!! Second, I appreciate the fact that I can have a lettuce "bun". Lastly, The fries honestly did not look at that. But after testing a few of my husband's, I couldn't stop eating them. They were so good! They were almost a little too salty for me, But really good. I've seen other reviews rip on this place, but my wife and I really dig this burger joint. I would dare to compare them to In 'N Out (yeah I said it, so what). For those of you that don't know, Five Guys is a chain, that has various locations throughout the nation. They make everything fresh, and all of their toppings are free (bacon and cheese being the only exceptions). My wife usually gets a "mini" burger (1/4lb) while I tend to get the "normal" burgers (rougly 1/2 lb). I love piling on the toppings, in addition to the traditional lettuce, tomato, onion, you can get grilled onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, A-1 sauce, and bbq sauce just to name a few. While you're waiting for your burgers, they have tons of peanuts for you to snack on. It usually doesn't take too long, but if you're starving, those peanuts can hold you over for that short amount of time. The burgers themselves are pretty huge. For anyone from the SD area, they stack 'em like Hodads, and they are just mammoth (depending on the toppings you get of course). I get mine with just about everything, and they tend to be really REALLY messy. Oh yeah, they got fries too. Their fries are ok. They're cajun style, and a regular size one is good for two people easy. Food here is pretty inexpensive, and they give you a lot, so make sure you come hungry. Love this spot and after an interaction I saw today, I felt the need to leave a positive review. The staff was working hard, like they always do, during the dinner rush, obviously a little short staffed. A guy came in without a mask and the staff told him he couldn't be served without a mask. Every other customer before him understood the mandate, but he threw a fit, yelling at the staff, pointing fingers and taking names while they were trying to cook. Eventually he realized his tantrum wasn't going to get him anywhere, and he left, shouting vulgarities as he went out the door. I got my usual Little Bacon Cheeseburger (they have tons of options to perfect your burger with) and a Little Cajun Fry. They always overfill the fries and throw more in the bag, which is absolutely the best. I suggest using the mobile app so you won't have to stand waiting for 10 or so minutes depending on how crowded it is. Tip: If you have never had the pleasure of eating at a Five Guys, I suggest sticking to the regular burger and regular fries. I'm usually struggling to finish this so I get little everything. I love Five Guys. After spending a summer working in Washington D.C. I fell in love with the hamburgers at this little restaurant. I woke up lat week with a craving for a Five Guys burger and fries, so I dragged a friend with me and we stopped by. It was quite busy, since it was lunch time, and the staff was efficient and we placed our orders. I always get a little burger with cheese and ketchup, and a small order of fries (to share often with a friend). We waited a short time, and got our burgers, and it made me so happy - I felt like I was back in Georgetown! The burger was fresh and delicious and the fries were as tasty as I remember. If you haven't been - you place your order and wait for your number to be called. The small order of fries is quite large, and you just dump it in your brown Five Guys bag and tear it up and eat from the bag. Small burgers are a good size and as I said, you can share the fries. Their regular is a double burger, you pick the toppings, and a small fry could feed a family of four at times, depending on how much they pour additionally into the bag. One of the best things going for Five Guys is that they can modify there burgers to be gluten free, think burger sans bun wrapped in lettuce similar to In-&-Outs protein style. Also, there fries are GF as well since they only cook fries in their fryers. The workers are pretty friendly and follow the allergy procedure as well.
