California burger is an incredible place! Every-time I go it's so consistent and the food is very very good! It take a little longer than a normal drive thru, but it's worth it for the freshness. The burger was incredible along with the fries and the corn dog

TRASH. Hard at Listening, Asked for a Chili Cheese Fry these Idiots gave me a Cheese Fry. Had to Drive back for it and They Tried to be Funny giving Me More Cheese than Chili, Unmelted and Cold at That. Bacon Burger wasn't Worth a Damn. Bacon was Chewy as Hell. I Assume They're Much Better At Making Tacos than Havin a Burger Joint ! Overpriced Low Quality Bullshit. Don't Waste your Time Here

Cali native here, and I could not believe how tasty the california melt was. Melt in mouth, delicious patties, crunchy lettuce, great secret sauce and overall awesome blend of flavors. I'm craving one as I'm writing it. Don't be afraid of the longer drive through wait, worth it!

    Disgusting piece of hair

Their prices are overpriced for mid customers service and quality food. Why is there a piece of hair in my ranch idk? This makes me not even want to eat the food anymore. This is nasty.

First time here! N unfortunately the door were closed so we had to order thru the drive thru! However everything is freshly made per order! Much love tho! Looks great n the food was amazing

Over price for everything is about 20-25 per person considering on what you're getting. I always spend about 60$ on burgers and chilli cheese fries with banana splits and mozzarella sticks. You will have to wait about 30 min in the drive through. Do not order anything at the window because they will forget it even after you pay for it.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot to review. I went through the drive through and ordered a meal with a Dr. Pepper and was told it would be $12. I was shocked it was that expensive for fast food, but I heard it was great so I didn't mind too much. However, after I pulled up to the window and checked my food bag I noticed I only had a cheeseburger inside. I told the woman I had a meal and asked where my fries where. She told me they had only typed in a cheeseburger and Dr. Pepper. They didn't offer to give me some fries or even for me to pay more to get some. Then I was really confused how a cheeseburger and Dr. Pepper cost $12! I wish more restaurants/business had better customer service. It's unfortunate, because the burger was great, but I don't know that I'll be back due to having such a bad experience.

I didnt have any expectations when I decided to go to California burger. I showed up around lunch time on a Friday and only had to wait about 10mins total. My order was the double bacon combo with fries and a soda. I also go the Mozzarella sticks because, those are hard to mess up. The Mozzarella sticks were good. I would order them again. They are not big fat mozz. Sticks like you get at Arbys. They are more seasoned long slender sticks. The fries were not my favorite. I gave 4 stars for this reason. The fries were seasoned well, hot, and crispy. I am not a fan of crinkle cut fries so that is simply a preference. If you like fluffy crinkle cut fries, you will love these. Next time, Ill opt for the curlies. The double bacon burger was huge. I had a hard time finishing it. It was good, not amazing, but good. My car and hands smelled like onions for at least a day after eating this. Make sure to ask for extra napkins, its messy! Would I go here again, yes, if Im super hungry.

This was a little fast food/burger joint ww found very close to Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The dining room was closed and all of their business was through the drive thru (hence not the best pictures. Sorry) The food however was worth the hassle of eating it in the car. Their crinkle cut fries were especially top notch as they were hot, crispy and super delicious. For my burger I dried a Double Cheeseburger which came with pickle, onion, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and a mayo variation which had a little kick to it. Really tasty and filling burger the meat and the sauce really stood out. The service was super friendly and the price was very reasonable so despite the lack of dining room I highly recommend this place.

This was one of the best melts I've had from a drive thru! They have alot of options from turkey burgers to veggie burgers to chicken sandwiches. My food came fast and everything was hot in the bag! I mean look how good this sandwich looks...

After hearing about the multiple-hour-long lines forming here when it first opened, we opted to ... well, not wait and instead visit months later. The restaurant closes at midnight on Saturdays, so we were feeling hopeful when we pulled into the line at 11:45pm. We ordered in time (yay!), surprisingly, as the line was going pretty slow. We enjoyed the menu because it had some non-traditional fast food options such as mac & cheese bites, onion rings, lettuce-wrapped burgers, and fried cheese sticks. I went for the lettuce-wrapped burger and curly fries. The curly fries were soooo good (you can also get crinkle cut) and the burger was pretty good. There was a LOT of Thousand Island sauce on it, so it was dripping everywhere. No shame. Our friends enjoyed their food too and we would go back if we're in the area and are looking for a local, yet drive-thru option.

I was having another fierce craving for onion rings and a hot dog, ya'll. It was Memorial Day do options were on the sparse side but this was a perfect opportunity to check out somewhere we hadn't been before. California Burger has been seeing wild lines since it opened last year so it was great to see we caught them in between the rush at 4pm (yet there was still a decent line). We ordered the chili dog, onion rings, zucchini fries and California double burger with bacon and avocado. It was all about the zucchini fries for me! They're hard to cone by and California Birger makes a tasty version. Oh, and we ordered the peanut butter shake...I know, it's a lot. In the end, I believe our total was around $25 and the drive they experience was both swift and friendly.

If you are going to venture here and give this place a shot then hopefully you phone or iPad is fully charged because you are going to need something to entertain you for about an hour while you wait in this drive through line. The restaurant does not have dine-in and only allows drive thru. The drive thru line wraps out of the restaurants parking lot thru the neighborhood about a block or two. I waited about 50 minutes in the drive thru line. They have a broad menu that includes burgers, chicken, fish, and Philly cheesesteaks. The staff was friendly. I ordered the California Knockout Burger with fries and a banana split for good measure. My burger was pretty good. It has a unique taste that is distinct to California Burger and lots of flavor. The fries were ok. They had good seasoning, but some of the fries were a bit hard. I am glad that I got the banana split. It was awesome. It was huge. I could not eat it in one sitting. It traveled well. I had a 25 minute ride before I was able to dig in. It was delicious. There is no doubt that this restaurant has good food. However, you have to ask yourself if it is good enough to wait an hour for. In my opinion, it is not. Fast food is supposed to be fast, otherwise it is just food. So, will I be back. Probably, but it will be awhile and I will try to come during one of their slow times.

Our waiter was attentive and efficient. We didn't wait too long for anything except dessert, and our waiter informed us that that would take a little longer because they had just fired more cake. (It was worth it.) The restaurant was spacious, and not too loud, despite the other convention goers and some other business people from the hotel. It was accessible for wheelchairs and service animals. There's both indoor, and some outdoor seating. There was a large area for bigger groups too, inhabited by what looked like a wedding party? Tables, booths, and a bar are the seating options. Dress is casual, although the party was dressed in finer garb. The service workers are in uniform black. The food was excellent. I ordered the wagyu cheeseburger. I thought it a bit pricey at first, but it was worth it. Honestly, it may be the best burger in Indy? It's certainly in the running. The menu is varied with mostly conventional Americana fare. I have not tried anything else on the menu - and the wagyu burger was so good I doubt I'll order anything but that again. I highly recommend Conner's for the food alone. The ambience and service were great too. I will go again soon.

The main floor dining like a lunch vibe, but it turned out to be a cozy choice. For appetizers, we started with the cornbread after our focaccia was unfortunately not the best. Seemed to be over-proofed. The cornbread was absolutely phenomenal and a must-have! A special shoutout to our waitress, Arya, who noticed our disappointment with the focaccia and generously brought us the cornbread on the house. That kind of service is truly memorable! I also had the beets and peaches salad, which was refreshing but a tad overdressed. Still, I couldn't resist finishing the entire dish. For my main course, I ordered the lasagna, and I can confidently say it was one of the best I've ever had. It wasn't overloaded with cheese and instead complemented by mushrooms and pesto, and surprisingly light on the stomach. My husband chose the filet and rated it an 8/10, saying he thoroughly enjoyed it. We were so full by the end that we skipped dessert. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The only downside was the atmosphere; coming from Chicago, we expected a more bustling vibe on a Thursday night. It seems Indianapolis is a bit quieter during the week. Overall, we had a delightful dining experience, and hats off to Arya for her exceptional service!

FLAVORFUL RESTAURANT IN A HIP PART OF INDY…read more======================================== My daughter-in-law recommended Bluebeard for dinner on Monday, June 22, 2026. I would have to say this restaurant is my favorite in Indy right now after one meal. Most of the things we shared were amazing and for a complete description please refer to my photo of the menu. We ordered the following: Burrata with Amelia's bread as an appetizer which was delicious. Gem Salad - This was amazing and I could eat it every day of the week. Stacci house made pasta - This was a big hit and I would order this every time. Hanger Steak - My husband, aka the picky eater, loved it. I didn't try it, but everyone seemed to like it. Chicken with a few dumplings - We all loved this. Three desserts to share: a cheesecake with fruit on top, one a bread pudding and a chocolate crisp. I ordered a delicious Monsoon Season cocktail with song cai vietnamese gin, cocchi americano, st. george thai basil eau de vie, elderflower, lemon and basil oil. My son and I also ordered glasses of Port after dinner. The service was great and I loved that they were playing really good rock music like Soundgarden and others. There are lots of antique typewriters above the bar and a cool print of Kurt Vonnegut by the bathrooms. I am looking forward to going again the next time my husband and I are in Indy visiting my son and daughter-in-law unless they move out of state.

Themed around Indy native Kurt Vonnegut, you'll see old typewriters, books, and names of menu items paying tribute to the famous author. The menu feels high class but the atmosphere and wait staff are friendly and welcoming. You could dress up for a special occasion or come in casual every day wear and either fit in just fine. Their ever changing menu featuring local produce and meats is always unique, inventive, and most importantly, delicious. Their cocktail list is one of the best and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had an extensive mocktail list as well. Their sodas and syrups are all house-made which means every drink is full of fresh flavors. I had a lemon pasta dish an my husband ordered the hanger steak. Both were cooked perfectly and composed of flavors and textures that complimented each other perfectly. There's nothing that wouldn't be good on their menu because you can tell the chefs are exceptional as well as the ingredients they choose. I really can't say enough good things about this place, it remains one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal and no matter what I choose, I'm never disappointed.

We complimented it, asked where they found it, and before we knew it, we were chatting with a wonderful couple who had traveled all the way from overseas just to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever play that night. Moments like that are one of the reasons I love Indianapolis on game days. The patio was the perfect place to soak it all in. Fever fans filled the sidewalks, kids proudly carried homemade signs, and there was an excitement in the air that only comes from a city rallying behind its team. We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. Sharing appetizers on a sunny patio, meeting fellow basketball fans from halfway around the world, and watching Indianapolis come alive before tipoff. Our server was friendly and responsive to one member of our group (male) but repeatedly didn't acknowledge another (female). As for the drinks: beer prices were nice and cheap, but the margarita was on the expensive side and not really worth it. We wouldn't return. 2/5.
