I understand that restaurants change menus. Items come and go, new things get added, and sometimes decisions have to be made behind the scenes. But the cheese breadsticks are not just another random menu item. They are a Kilroy's staple. They are one of those foods that I immediately associate with Kilroy's, and removing them feels like getting rid of part of what makes Kilroy's, Kilroy's. And yes, I know you still have the stuffed breadsticks. I know people love the pepperoni breadsticks. But not everyone wants or can eat meat. The cheese breadsticks were the perfect option because they gave you everything that makes the breadsticks so ridiculously good without requiring a meat filling. They were simple, cheesy, warm, comforting, and genuinely one of the best things on the menu. Also, the CHEESE. I don't know what exactly you were doing differently with those breadsticks, but the cheese inside of them was so good. There was something about the combination of the dough, the cheese, and dipping them in sauce that made them perfect. Replacing that with only meat-filled options is just not the same thing. I have a hard time believing I am the only person disappointed by this. The cheese breadsticks appealed to vegetarians, people who don't eat pork or pepperoni, people who simply weren't in the mood for meat, and people like me who just genuinely thought the cheese version was superior. It also seems like such a strange item to remove because breadsticks are part of Kilroy's identity. There are certain foods you expect when you go to certain places, and Kilroy's breadsticks are absolutely one of those things. When something becomes that closely associated with a restaurant, taking away one of the classic versions feels like a much bigger menu change than simply discontinuing an appetizer. I am genuinely so disappointed. There are plenty of menu items I could see disappearing and think, "Well, that's unfortunate," and move on with my life. This is not one of them. I am apparently passionate enough about these cheese breadsticks that I am sitting here writing an entire email about them, which should tell you how serious the situation has become. So I am respectfully begging whoever has the power to make this decision: PLEASE bring back the cheese breadsticks. Put them back on the permanent menu. Make them a limited-time item. This was our third time visiting this location. Our first visit in late December and our second visit in early January were both great experiences with no complaints, which made today's experience even more frustrating. We ordered a 10-piece wing meal with two sauces -- Founder's Favorite and Sweet Chili -- the same sauces we always get. When we arrived home, we discovered all of the wings were the same flavor and much hotter than what we ordered. The employee who took our order did not seem very attentive, so I'm unsure if our order was misunderstood or prepared incorrectly. Once we realized the mistake, we attempted to contact the restaurant at 6:25 PM, calling five times with no answer. This is a horrible way to run a business when customers are simply trying to fix an error. We live on the east side, which is a long drive, so returning was not convenient. While some may suggest checking the food before leaving, I don't believe it's reasonable to take a bite just to confirm sauces. Customers should be able to trust their order is prepared correctly. Because of this experience and the lack of response, I am extremely dissatisfied. I am requesting either a refund or a complimentary replacement meal. Otherwise, I will have to reconsider supporting this franchise in the future. I hope this situation is taken seriously, as we truly enjoyed this location before today.
