Felt taken care of and not smothered! Our group ordered some burgers and we thought, why not throw on the extra patty for another dollar, but boy oh boy was it a tall burger! Quite a large burger, but each bite was reported to be delightful! I, myself, had he Chicken Parmesan Sandwich and salad was also great! Doesn't seem like there's a bad item on the menu! If you're near by, I'd certainly consider stopping in! Thank you Rush on Main!!

Dined here with my wife once and did carryout once. Here are my observations:…read more Service: -waitress on our visit was personable and attentive -carryout order was ready when I arrived and checkout was smooth -on both occasions, all items were received as ordered Ambiance: -you have to navigate some steep steps after you enter the door to reach the place, so could be a challenge for some -interior is dark, which when the sun peers through the windows it can be a challenging contrast on the eye -walls are filled with various decoration. appreciate the Chicago-vibe, but it's a little busy visually Food: (Visit #1) -not a lot of options for non-meat eaters (which my wife is) -we split the Spicy Cheese Curds ($11), which I believe were simply fried pepper jack cheese cubes (a generous portion) that came with a side of ranch. It had a kick, so it was what it said it would be. -we also split a Cheese Pizza ($17) on their regular crust. the cheese was generously applied, sauce was OK, the crust was subpar and not something we would order again (Visit #2) -Bavarian Pretzel Sticks ($12) come as an order of 4 lightly salted sticks with sides of nacho cheese and honey mustard. The sticks are among the better pretzel offerings I have had. Not the best (that would be 101 craft kitchen and Red Front), but definitely better than average. -Da Beef ($14) was a nice portion of beef. Because I was doing carryout, I got the sauce on the side. -the sandwich came with a side of their in house chips, which I really liked. they aren't seasoned if that's your thing, but I simply appreciate a fresh made potato chip and they were that Overall, if you like meat, it's probably on their menu and I'm guessing will scratch your itch. If you're not a meat-eater, it probably won't appeal. If stairs aren't your thing, it could be a dealbreaker unless there's another route I don't know of.

I was the only person at the counter, and there was one person sitting at a table. There were three employees behind the counter. My order was simple, just a sandwich and side of mac & cheese. I sat down at the nearest table and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally I went back to the counter, thinking maybe my order hadn't been sent to the kitchen. I approached the same employee who had taken my order, and she asked if I had ordered. I said yes, and she looked confused. I reminded her of what I had ordered. She talked to another employee who looked around and found my order sitting with a couple of other orders. He did apologize for letting it sit there and said they should have called out my name. My sandwich was good but not hot like it would have been if it hadn't been left sitting.

They'd been pushing a special soup called Kicken' Crab Chowder, which sounded really good. You order and pay at the counter when you enter and then get your drink and find a table. This location has a lot of tables and booths that are comfortable. The place is clean, but not particularly interesting. The menu offers a mix of sandwiches and combo plates. The clerk who took my order was friendly and accommodating. The food was to my table so fast, I hardly had time to get my drink. The Kicken' Crab Chowder was surprisingly flavorful with the distinct taste of crab and a hint of spicy heat. The soup was thick and hearty with bits of veggies. All in all, I liked the soup, but it was a bit salty. Also, the bowl that they advertise is larger and more enticing than the paper cup than what I received. There's plenty of parking in their shared lot.

Food is decent and enjoyable. Been going there for years, since they opened. Service is…read moresatisfactory, but variable. More recently they continue to practice what I call annoying policies. For example, chips come with take out orders, but they don't give more chips when you order appetizers in addition to entrees. So you run out. Then they introduced a carry out fee. Annoying. Most recently, they have now added a fee for charging your order. So, I would call these practices as nickel and diming you which erodes the overall experience. So now, I'll go back, but not as often. If they do these pesky things, what are they doing in the kitchen that may be subtlety reducing quality. Like thinner cheese sauce that rolls off an item into a pool rather than being thick enough to stay on chimichanga or other item? We'll see.

This was great, served on a bed of greens (maybe a bit too much) and I selected the side of seasoned potatoes. Again, the avacado toast part was fine a Latino twist of flavors on a staple. The seasoned potatoes were way over seasoned. Everyone tried them and everyone said "oh wow. That's a lot" or offered their own potato side to share. The tres leches French toast wasn't what we pictured. The fruit was not "in" the bread but between the slices. The bread wasn't the best for French toast (like a brioche would be better) fruit looked fresh and crème part seemed great. Burrito was probably the go to. Looked good, held up well. That came with fries that looked better than my seasoned potatoes. The last plate was eggs, hash browns and carne. He didn't comment if it was fantastic or just ok, so assuming it was at least sufficient to good. His also came with toast. Because it was dry toast, my husband asked for jelly when the server came back to check on us; they brought him butter. I didn't have the coffee, but the rest of my group said the coffee was good. All three loved the coffee cups.
