Veggie burger on Texas toast, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and sauce
    Missi R.

Punch Burger is my favorite lunch spot in Carmel. You can build your own burger, choosing from a large variety of both standard and unique ingredients. House made pickles, Asian slaw, pineapple, ghost pepper cheese, red onions, mushrooms, and many other options. I love that you can sub the veggie burger for one of the meat choices. And it is a very tasty veggie patty, thick and flavorful. And you can choose from a regular bun, pretzel bun, or Texas Toast, which is my favorite. Sweet potato tots are my favorite! Unlike some of the sweet potato fries I have had where you barely taste the sweet potato, these tots are bursting with sweet potato flavor. Waffle fries are very good also, and you can choose from several dipping sauces served on the side. If you are undecided you can order a mixed basket of sweet potato tots and waffle fries. This is a perfect restaurant for vegetarian dining. The vegetable toppings are always fresh and delicious and the veggie burger is one of the best I have found. Service is always great and there is plenty of seating inside and out. Free WiFi too so a nice place for an informal business lunch.

An old burnt cheeseburger to go that had been sitting under the warming lamp while I sat in the lobby and waited for it.

Let's start off with the positive, the lady who took my order was friendly and welcoming. Alright, my burger was cold, the "burnt" cheese was tough and not chewy. The bread was soggy from the condiments and wet lettuce. The fries were burnt and hard and went right into the trash. I waited 20+ minutes for my food, sitting at a table in the corner. I had no idea how long it should take since it was lunch time. I finally went up to the counter and asked if the wait would continue and she grabbed my food from the warming lamp and handed me a receipt that at the top read DOORDASH order. That's odd, since I came in and ordered in person. She said she couldn't see me sitting since I was at a table in the corner. I asked why my buzzer that I held the entire time never went off and she said because she couldn't see me. I will not be back and would have wanted to since I have a card which entitles me to a free drink and fries with the purchase of a sandwich through next year.

If these don't change your life, check your pulse.

I'm what you might call unrefined, or simple. I really don't get into all the fancy restaurants that try to put a "new spin" on something that should be really simple. I prefer basic, classic American food--and Punch Burger is the altar that I worship at. That said, I've only had their basic cheeseburger, and let's be serious, it's all you need to live a fulfilling life. The meat is cooked to perfection, the bun is fantastic, and the toppings are all fresh. The real reason you should come here is the fries. Quite possibly the greatest thing that I have ever put in my mouth. For a proper experience, you MUST get the cheese sauce for dipping. It's incredibly thick and incredibly cheesy, but once you get your hands on it, life will finally start making sense to you. Another bonus point for having a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. While the soda doesn't make or break my experience, I do enjoy a good soda with a good burger, and Coke products are so vastly superior to Pepsi that it isn't even funny. My desire to keep from becoming overweight keeps me from being a Punch Burger regular, but don't let my insanity stop you from going. One final reminder--get the cheese sauce with your fries. You'll thank me later--no, you'll thank me immediately.

Vegan Burgers - YES. Quick and Fast - YES. Tasty - YES. I needed to get a quick bite to eat but didn't have much time so I gave punch burger a try. I was so happy upon arrival to know their veggie burgers were vegan. The burger itself was cooked good in which it didn't fall apart and was slightly crispy, which I loved!! I added some of their Sriracha on top, this added a little kick and extra flavor. The menu seemed to have a wide variety of unique burger options and a lot of sauces as well!

Overall pretty satisfied with this place. Tried it on a whim Friday when we didn't want to wait for Bru Carmel. Only complaint- service. When we went up to order the cashier was rude and interrupted me twice. Once to talk to another customer and once to yell back to the kitchen. Both could have and should have been avoided. Other than the service which is pretty minimal since you order at the front and then eat on your own afterwards the experience was good. The food was great! I got a turkey burger and chose the build your own option. Boyfriend got the punch cheeseburger and subbed in the ghost cheese which he said he wouldn't do again. We got a basket of cheese waffle fries to share as well (prob my fav part). The bottled beers are also only $2! Will definitely go back!

Yum scrum...Peach shake, Punch Cheeseburger, Seasoned waffle fries, and Thai Burger...delicious!

Hello everyone! PallaWalla here from Indpls, reviewing Punch Burger in Carmel. This evening I enjoyed their massive Punch Cheeseburger, their juicy and tangy Thai Burger, seasoned waffle fries and a frosty peach shake. While the well proportioned food was prepared to perfection, the service/facility was professional, prompt and worthy of more meals to come (esp when considering the reasonable prices). This certainly beat having to cook after a long day at work on a Friday. Go see!

I love Punch Burger! I needed a quick bit to eat on my way to an appointment in Carmel. I ordered and had my hot grilled cheese sandwiches within 10 minutes. The lines moved quickly and the cooks were so quick putting the food baskets together. They did an excellent job. I noticed someone near me received something incorrectly and they were very quick to apologize and make it right. I always like seeing that in restaurants. They have a nice wide selection of burgers & sandwiches, a couple sides and some good beers. Not a big selection for my vegetarian friend (but this IS a burger joint haha). I love all the Local ingredients and will definitely be back!!!

Chorizo burgers for Indy Burger Week!

Punch Burger is my new favorite burger spot! I've always heard great things, but experiencing it completely blew me away. Its simplicity really took me in--you simply order at the counter, they make your food and give your beer, then you pick a table and they deliver it to you when it's done. Easy! I love this method of food service; it's low pressure and everyone's happy. Plus they have outdoor seating! On top of their amazing burgers and sides, they serve BEER! Burgers and beer, my favorite combination of things to put in my mouth. My girlfriend and I went here for Burger Week ($5 burgers) and we got the incredible Chorizo Burger! Holy moly. A delicious burger made of a chorizo patty, pico de gallo, guacamole, jalapeno ranch, and cilantro. Such a good flavor; a tiny bit messy, but the flavor easily makes up for it. My side, an order of giant waffle fries and nacho cheese. Not to mention they have all the condiments you could want! Ranch, Sriracha, chipotle ranch, etc. I paired this delicious meal with a Triton Rail Splitter IPA. If not for my health, I'd have indulged in one of their milkshakes.

What's left of the Burnt Cheese! Delicious!

There's a bit of grunge aesthetic too. I opted for the patio seating on the nice day that I visited. Service worked pretty quickly and friendly. I got a mocktail to start that was cranberry, orange, and pineapple juice. It was pretty yummy. I was far more impressed by the foooood! My partner and I split a burger and Mac and cheese. The size small was $9 and was honestly huge. It was definitely enough food for two. The burger we got was also a good size, and came with a lot of shoestring onion on top. The burger was $18 but it's a 10 oz patty which is practically a better deal than most other burgers out there. I'll be back again sometime for sure!

Convenient location. Zero proof drinks. There were some reviews about long wait times, non-toasted buns and the cost but the write up of the place itself gave me nostalgia vibes for a place called Cobra Burger in Richmond, VA so I had to try my luck. I really wanted to love this place, as I've not found anything like Cobra Burger here in Indy. When we arrived, around 6:45p on a Thursday, the patio had a good amount of people, but inside was pretty empty apart from the bar. We sat at a two top in the bar area. The music was at a pretty low volume, especially considering the amount of reviews that said otherwise. Our server was also bartender, so it initially took her a couple of minutes to come over, which is understandable. She took our order for drinks and then after bringing them back for the food. She was nice and provided good service although juggling tables and the bar, plus she was also pregnant. It took a very long time for us to get our food (close to an hour), despite three guys working the line in the kitchen, banging out burger after burger. The food arrived, hot and correct. Both my husband and I were disappointed that the reviews were right and the burger buns were not toasted. Non-toasted burger buns actually make the burgers harder to eat and less enjoyable. My burger was decent for a non-handmade vegan option; for the price my expectation is amor sophisticated/handmade creative one, but I am thankful that they had a vegan option at all. My husband thought his burger was just okay and that he's had better ones around Indy, so we probably won't be dining here again. For the size of the burger, they should bring you ample napkins without having to ask because it is very messy trying to eat them. For two burgers with fries, one small mac & cheese, and three beers (one regular and two nonalcoholic) before tip the bill was over $80. Now, if the food was top-tier fantastic, I would say fine but being that it was more middle of the road it's a bit pricey.

To my surprise, we walked in and someone who I'm assuming is the manager looks our way and says to the hostess that they're only doing takeout. He clearly made that decision as we walked in. The dining room was empty except one couple who hadn't received their food yet. I could understand if it were 30 mins before, but an hour means you should just close at 9 pm everyday. A couple walked in minutes after us and were also given this information, but decided to leave instead of order. I did, however, order for my son since I opted out and he was looking forward to eating here. This was not how I expected to celebrate my son's birthday but was forced to even though they had roughly eight people "working" and were unable to accommodate three. This really left a feeling of disdain that I can't shake. I have no desire to patronize this establishment in the future as I was not welcomed during business hours this time. Hopefully this is a learning experience and they'll choose to service customers within reason.
