I'd give it a solid 3.5. I didn't take a picture of the sad little baby spring rolls... bless it, but they were tasteless. The orange chicken was really good - like, I'd order that again without hesitation. They give you plenty! I don't even know how I'm going to eat all the leftovers. I was expecting the small to be... well, small. Anyway. The pepper steak was just okay. It lacked flavor for me. And of course, lots of giant peppers instead of slicing them down...and a crap ton of veggies without much steak. But that's typical. The shrimp fried rice... Tasteless. I don't usually like to add more soy sauce to my food (and I didn't), but you're gonna need to drizzle the sauce from one of the other meals onto it or SOMETHING because homegirl was tasteless. Disappointing. The shrimp and broccoli was fine - exactly what you'd expect. Everything was packaged well, so I'd say attentive service for takeout. Not sure what it looks like on the inside/bathrooms/cleanliness, etc. since we did takeout, but I would go back for the orange chicken unless I find a place with better + solid shrimp fried rice. P.S. Remember when they used to automatically put eggs in the fried rice without you having to pay extra? I miss those days. read more

Tried New China for dinner and had a great experience! I ordered the tofu vegetable soup and steamed vegetables with tofu (no shrimp) they were super accommodating with my request and made it perfectly. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I also sampled the orange chicken, and it was delicious, crispy, tangy, and not overly sweet. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming inside. I went and tried New China yesterday and it was really great. The rice needed a lil soy sauce but the chicken was cooked well, saucy, and it was a good portion size. Now I got a side order of crab Rangoon and those were really good but it only came with two. I needed more. The women working at the establishment were very nice and helpful. I decided to this place a try after reading reviews and hearing recommendations from social media groups. I conveniently placed an order online for my Chinese takeout usual. I ordered on my way home on a Saturday afternoon and was given an approximate 15 minutes for a pickup time. Upon arrival I noticed the restaurant's dining area very clean. There were several tables set up for eat in service. My to go order was ready. The meal was filling, but was pretty standard. The rice was bland and I've had better general tso sauce. A new restaurant in the outlot in ftont of the 96th St. Walmart. For my first visit, I decided to try the dinner portion of sweet & sour pork. It is delicious! The $9.75 dinner combo includes white or fried rice and a crab Rangoon or egg roll. I opted to eat in and watch the traffic buzz along 96th Street. The cashier brought my food to the table. Ordered in on a Friday night. Our food was ready within 10 minutes! When we walked in the restaurant, it was very clean, and there was a couple there eating in. The food is very flavorful, very good quality. We got the dinner combos, that are $9.75 each, and well worth the value! The general tsos is better than panda express's. My partner tried the Moo goo gai pan, which he had never tried before. He said it was different, and definitely worth a try! Overall, we will be back. I get take out from here quite often, I am a fan of the hot and sour soup and the house special Mai fun. Hubs and I decided to dine in (11.21.24) . I mixed up my usual order a bit and got the sicy shrim and chicken noodles soup and the Singapore Mai fun. - Basically the house special but with curry. Hubs had the curry chicken . Mine was good. His didn't have a ton of chicken and was mosty onions. I ut his leftovers in my dish which was perfect. I ordered the house chow mein and there was no noodles just a bunch of onion and oil and meats. The sweet and sour sauce was just sour and the rice was stale with frozen veggies. Food is amazing! Delivery service was a full 10 minutes before expected...and when you're in a hotel away from home, exhausted and starving-that is simply the best type of restaurant to deal with. I also really liked the hot braised chicken but would order as the wings appetizer in future. It is delicious but like sweet and sour nuggets with a great spicy sauce. I've ordered takeout from here a couple of times. I like getting the special menu boiled chicken with Chinese vegetables and rice. I'm not sure of the sauce they serve on the side but it's pretty good. The portion is on par with most Asian restaurants. The service is friendly and they often send out coupons in the mail. The only thing I don't like is that the sides of sauce are extremely expensive if you want extra or want to change your sauce. read more

I did take out and first time here. Courteous at front desk. Took order promptly. I ordered two items and then sat down. Pretty quickly my order was brought out and she repeated what I had ordered. I got home, but, on the drive home, I could smell the aroma and it smelled good. Once I got home I opened the containers and noticed it was heavy on the sauces. The sauces were sweet as well.
