We hadn't been back here in years and were we pleasantly surprised! The Pork Egg Foo Young was delicious with 3 full patties and the usual & tasty brown gravy. Not on the menu was Chicken Chop Suey they prepared for us and it was outstanding with loads of crisp veggies and plenty of chicken. The white rice was even good as it was moist but not "sticky". Their dining area has several tables and was comfortable and clean. Service was friendly and fast - we'll be back! read more

China Garden - the front desk of a chinese restaurant - Chinese Near Me - Carmel, Indiana

I haven eaten here in quite some time. Just ordered $30 of food to be able to eat white rice and an egg roll. I don't really do food reviews but this is horrendous. Absolutely disgusting. Crab ragoons disgusting, general Tao's disgusting. I'm not sure what this meat is supposed to be but it's not chicken. Never again read more

Good Fairley inexpensive old-fashioned Chinese food the way you expect it in a similar setting

Flavor was good but chicken was tough. I think it was simply cooked too long and dried out. We probably won't return.

Ordered chicken fried rice...not even sure it was chicken, it was slimy and more like tendons vs chicken meat. Disgusting.

I've only lived in the Indy area for about 2 1/2 yrs and I have yet to come across some really good Chinese food UNTIL we stumbled upon China Garden!! THIS is the best Chinese food I have had in the Indy area and coming from a Filipino background and being raised on Asian food--this really was great food AND SERVICE!! Even my picky child loved it!! We had orange chicken, boneless BBQ pork, spring roll, fried dumplings, seafood delight, and fried rice. Definitely our go to Chinese food!! read more

This was the first time that I have eaten at this place, and I decided to get carry out. I called them and not 10 minutes later my food was done and ready to be picked up. I am absolutely baffled by how well their COVID 19 precautions are! There is no way for direct contact between staff and customers 10/10! I got an order of Crab Rangoons and the Chef's Special Sesame Chicken. The food was amazing! The crab rangoons were perfectly cooked and all food was hot and fresh from the carry-out containers! PS: their white rice was perfect! I can't wait to go back and try their other menu items! read more

China Garden - Sesame Chicken | White Rice | Crab Rangoons - Chinese Near Me - Carmel, Indiana

This is a great place to grab good food at a low price. I thoroughly enjoyed my General Tso's and the Sesame Chicken was delicious too; and the great thing about it, is that they didn't taste like each other. Some places it seems like all of the dishes kind of taste the same, but both of the dishes were distinct and we'll done. The size were lunch portions and we were able to eat, for two, for 12 and some change. That's a deal IMHO! The dining area is cafeteria style and you order at the counter. It's small but, not busy. So if your looking for a more restaurant style feel, this isn't there place for you. But, if you want some quick delicious Chinese, then stop here, and you will be satisfied. read more

We love their food and it is always very quick for take away. I love the Sesame chicken and the Kung Pao chicken!

Best delivery service!!! The are always fast and always so nice! Food is always hot when delivered and they have the best eggs rolls in town! I get anything from chicken lo mien to chicken curry or beef and broccoli. The egg rolls tho are my favorite! Always crispy and remind me of my favorite Chinese restaurant from back home. If you're in the Carmel area, definitely order from here! Their website has an app that you can order online with, which was super handy and convenient since I always get like anxiety calling to order from places. So check them out and I'll be ordering here soon! read more

This is probably the best Chinese food I've had in Hamilton county. We moved away for a couple years and definitely missed this place. Now that we're back, I'm happy to say it tastes exactly the same! You get sooooo much food for the price. I actually forgot how much you get. I ordered the Lo mein combo with pork friend rice. It was $8 so I assumed it wasn't going to be a lot of food. So I ordered more pork fried rice on the side. Well...I was wrong. I was only able to eat half of the combo and didn't even touch the extra rice! Long story short, great food for a great price read more

I still love this love this place. Just wanted to advise everyone that effective immediately they will be closed on Sundays. We just had lunch here today and everything was delicious as usual. read more

On way home from Xmas shopping, I wanted szechuan chicken. Using the search for nearby Chinese restaurants, this was it. It's in a stripmall. Carry out only during Covid. In fact, they built a temporary wall to keep the staff and the customers separated. The food was on par with other restaurants like this, I wouldn't make a special trip for it, but I would eat it again if I was in the area. Spice was medium. read more

Been ordering from here for about a year now. It's great! The dumpling sauce is the BEST sauce I have ever tasted in my life. . read more

Rude, take out... left tip ..... no utensils... no soy sauce no napkins no fortune cookie. By coming in and ordering , felt like I was annoying them. Sad because they used to be good. read more

Avoid this place. Awful experience. My husband ordered the food and I picked it up since I was in the area. We were charged way more than the published menu. The place was visibly filthy dirty. When I arrived home they had "forgotten" to include the rice that should have accompanied the two dishes we ordered. I immediately called and they did not apologize but just said I could come back for the rice or could pick it up "next time." They insisted they could ( would) not give me a partial refund. Mediocre good. Never again! read more

This is long over due since I'm pretty much a 'regular'.. lol. They have the best food in the area.. and I LOVE Chinese! I've tried others and keep coming back to China Garden. They are crazy fast, and their prices are good. I live close and I've never had to wait for my food. They are carry out only during Covid.. and have great Covid precautions. but honestly.. I wouldn't have dined in anyway as they are in serious need of a remodel..and if I can give them one piece of advice - Clean up/remodel. The appearance makes you question how good the food is and you don't want that- because your food is awesome! read more

China Garden was not the greatest experience overall. Was fairly surprised with an expensive meal for two people - over $30 for two entrees. One of the entrees was incorrect. Pretty sure they mixed our general tso chicken and orange chicken together. And we didn't receive fortune cookies. Overall, food tasted good - but we could get better value at Panda Express. read more

Great Chinese take away near my home(Village of West Clay). The general Tsos is great. Soups are great too. Ever since Mark Pi's closed shop we have been looking for good takeout and here it is. Great Mongolian beef/chicken. read more

The inside isn't much to look at, but I love their food. The broccoli and snap peas with garlic sauce and fried tofu is my most recent obsession. The employees are super friendly and have even learned our regular order so they call it back to the kitchen when they see us walk in. Can't beat service like that! read more

This was the second Chinese restaurant I tried and now it is my new Carmel locale for good Chinese. The inside looks like the typical Chinese restaurant set-up, with a lot going on behind the counter, but the people are nice and the food comes out in under ten-minutes. They can customize spice level and add or take out anything upon request. I get the General Tso's combination plate, non-spicy, no onions in the rice. I also get the vegetable egg rolls and sweet-and-sour red sauce. It's not too sweet and thin, like I prefer. They also have shrimp options. My friend got the General Tso shrimp. His only complaint was the shrimp had a lot of breading. read more

It's pretty awful actually. Keep writing? Oh no. You slash they don't want me to. Has the General Tso's chicken, the standard by which all Americanized Chinese restaurants are judged, and it was BY FAR the worst I've EVER had. Is that enough writing for you? read more

Not much to say here. Average american chinese food hole in the wall in the middle of a strip mall like the stereotypical chinese food. If you want average chinese food like the majority of places out there, this won't steer you wrong. read more

I specifically ordered Sesame Chicken and Pt size chicken fried rice with no onion as I attached photo you can large sizes of Onions not to mention I work exactly 4 mins away with delivery my total was $24.24 at 2:30pm. After making contact with manager, owner to express my concern there was no way they could compensate me. I'm highly upset with this service and hope no ones get treated this way. read more

I'm updating my review because the last 3 orders have been missing food. When I reach out and ask them to please ameliorate the situation, they never once responded back. We are really disappointed because we've ordered food from this place so many times, we'd have to be in the top 5% of customers. I can't believe they have not offered a solution or refund or credit or something; at this point they've left out $20+ of food. We will be dining elsewhere for Chinese food, this service became really ridiculous really fast. They are now taking advantage of their best customers, not being appreciative. read more

Tucked away in a strip mall, this unassuming restaurant served up some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. I tried Egg Foo-Young for the first time, which was extremely tasty. I heard that they changed management and it shows. Their delivery radius shrunk and when I drove out to pick up food I noticed the fried food (orange chicken) was incredibly soggy, I commented on it and they just said "its fine, have a good night. It's not the China Garden I once loved and I'd suggest you choose somewhere else if you want to enjoy your food. read more
