I've ordered from this restaurant numerous times. It's a solid place that provides decent Chinese food. Nothing has been ever been gross and the service is quick. It used to be a bit more of a deal, but as everything, prices have gone up. I arrived to pick up my food when quoted and by the time I got it home within a few minutes it was just warm. Driven by this location many times and today was the day to give it a go. It's your typical Chinese takeout joint. Same pictures over the counter and the menus are pretty identical to any other Chinese takeout. The person at the counter was on top of it. Got my order in and took a seat and waited while they prepared my food fresh. It came out within 10 minutes. The wait was clean and quiet. I took it home and it was very hot and plenty of meat, vegetables and fried rice. The hot and sour soup also was chucked full. I just wish the flavor were there too. Overall it was fairly mundane. This is your usual slightly above average Chinese takeout joint. They don't do delivery. Their pork lo mein is quite good. Their General Tso's is ok but not quite spicy enough so you have to ask for them to kick it up. The crab rangoon is the same as anywhere. Their egg rolls and spring rolls are good. As seems to be typical with Chinese food, it costs about 25% too much. But at least you don't have to mess with buying drinks. You can tip, it's definitely a family owned joint. You can eat in but it's got maybe two tables. In all it's the best/most consistent Chinese place I've found on the northside. It probably beats the heck out of any of the buffet places I've been to around here, and that includes the Journey. I've gotten carryout from there twice, and I live up the street, so I expect I'll be back. read more

China Wok is always fast, accurate, and delicious. The fried dumplings are my favorite thing to get, and I always get General Tso's or orange chicken (both are solid choices). I also like their fried rice and lo mein a lot. Chicken on a stick is also a great appetizer. I've never had to wait too long here, and I've always had good customer service. read more

The hot and sour soup is the best I've had! Every time I find a place with great hot and sour soup it closes down! Lots of chunky tofu and other goodies!! Only complaint is the crispy noodles that come with it are either too hard .... Or stale. After trying them a few times I just tell them to leave it out. I did not find a lot of flavor in my beef lo mein but I enjoyed the chewy noodles. The rice was a little drier (which I actually liked) but it can get messy while eating since it's flaky. The beef in my lo mein was a bit chewy but the price point is average for most Chinese take-out places. I did have to get more than I originally ordered as they have a $7 card minimum so I got the crab rangoon. They're stuffed full and creamy. read more

Standard walk-up strip-mall Chinese place with the back-lit pictures above the counter, and standardized menu. Recently opened, so it's all very clean, including the men's restroom. (And they have a separate ladies' restroom.) Order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. Dine in or carry-out. Plastic utensils etc. Beverages are canned sodas from a cooler. The menu has the standard stuff sold by the pint or quart, plus a section for the "House Specialties", and the daily lunch specials ($5.00 to $5.90 depending on the kind of meat) and the Dinner Combinations are $6.50 to $7.10. This place has great Chinese food! They have delivery or you can eat inside. The inside area isn't huge, but it's nice enough. There are two 4 top tables and two 6 to 8 top tables. My go-to here is the vegetable lo mein. It's so good! The prices are great. Super reasonable prices and great portion sizes. I always have a lot left over. Love this spot. It's not very big and a bit of a hole in the wall but you can't beat the food or the price. The staff is always very kind, and a meal for three when dining in is on the table in just over 5 minutes. They have a big menu with just about everything on it, so you have plenty to pick from. I will recommend their hot and sour soup, any of their sweet and sour options, and their general tso's. Tried a variety of dishes--some of which were fantastic but others mediocre to even some nearly flavorless and soggy. Really can only recommend lo mein noodles and fried rice. I go to this restaurant about once a month since Dec 2011 and I just wanted to write a great review for this place. The place of business is about average for your local Chinese restaurant take out, but the service is great! My boyfriend and myself are servers and we get off work late starving! There has been more than one occasion that I've called and they said they closed 10 mins ago but they'd love to make our food for us and to come in about 15 mins.
