My partner and I went here for the first time during lunch on a Saturday. They have indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of tables! They seated us quickly and servers were fast! The food was fresh, hot and delicious. I wasn't really sure what most of the stuff was on the menu so tried something new to me and it was delicious! It's also a really cute spot. Landed in Indy and needed to eat before an appointment. Searched Google for places in Fishers and found 101 Craft Kitchen. So glad we came here. The food was awesome. My husband and I split a salad, he had crab cakes for his meal, I tried the croquettes and risotto balls. Everything was so tasty. We finished the meal with the peach butter cake. OMG! So good!!! Our server (I unfortunately can't remember her name) was super energetic, had great humor, and provided excellent service throughout the entire night. I ordered the pork schnitzel and was surprised by how big the portion was--in the best way. It was incredibly delicious and perfectly lemony. All of the food had little to no flavor. The loaded tots barely had any sauce or toppings and tasted like regular plain tater tots. We asked for a side of ranch to add flavor but wasn't informed a very small side of ranch would cost $1 until we got the bill. The steak tasted like it wasn't seasoned even with salt or pepper. My friend said the sauce the steak came with made it taste like the meat was bad. The green beans were undercooked and also had no flavor. The potato cakes were decent. The shrimp in the po boy tasted fishy, but the bread was good and it was a big serving. The Nashville fries had a nice honey flavor and paired well and the tangy chipotle ranch. The fish and chips again had no flavor with no Parmesan on the "Parmesan fries." Overall, it was expensive, and the food wasn't good. This was my third visit to 101 Craft Kitchen (formerly 101 Beer Kitchen), and once again, it did not disappoint. We hosted our monthly department meeting for nine people, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. Our server, Tori (sp?), was incredibly attentive and impressively memorized all our drink and food orders without a single mistake! I started with an Espresso Martini, which was the perfect late-night drink. For appetizers, we shared a variety of delicious options, including the Butternut Squash Pierogis (my new favorite), Loaded Tots, Pepperoni Calabrese Flatbread, Fried Plantains, and Loaded Guacamole. All of the appetizers were flavorful and perfect for sharing among a group of nine. For dinner, I had the Seared Salmon, and it was by far one of the best salmon dishes I've had in the Midwest. It was served with roasted brussels sprouts, brown butter gnocchi, mushrooms, shallots, butternut squash purée, and maple vinaigrette. I couldn't even take leftovers home (unfortunately), but I left feeling completely satisfied. With a recent name change, 101 Craft Kitchen is an elevated casual dining experience with a luxury cabin vibe. The wooden panels and relaxed lighting provide a comfortable ambiance. I came in around lunch time on a rather dreary Saturday, so it wasn't very crowded and I got very quick and very friendly service. I had even had two managers come by to ask about my experience with the restaurant, which is a nice touch - I love when the managers check on patrons, which shows pride in their business. They have brunch on Saturdays and Sundays 10-3, so I got the Italian toast. I like how it's a nice and light plate. The eggs served scrambled are delightfully creamy. I did notice that their cold brew coffee is a bit tart, but I believe that it comes from an external source and they do not make it in house. Guys!!! SO MANY GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS! The waiter, who was wonderful too, said they use rice flour and nearly everything is gluten free except buns which can be substituted for lettuce wraps. Even if you aren't gluten free, you can't tell. Food is wonderfully flavored. My husband's only complaint was there could be more flavor on the steak. Just slightly bland after eating all the other flavorful foods. Was still cooked great though. I loved the patio seating too, although not much of a view as the parking surrounds it. This last time in was a Saturday night, but a bit early. The hostess seemed a little miffed that we didn't have reservations (which we've never done). We got a table in the way back, and our young waitress was very friendly. Hubs had the 101 Wedge salad with chicken. When they brought it, I could tell it was not what he expected (i.e, a big wedge), as this is romaine hearts, which is what the menu states so I as not surprised. But it did look significantly small. Our server was super kind and patient, which was much appreciated since we were definitely taking our sweet time chatting and catching up. Some of my friends got sandwiches from the regular menu and they looked really good too. The food was definitely good enough to come back for but oh my goodness our server was the nicest human. Of course now I forgot her name but she let us know she is a teacher as well. Good service always stands out but she was genuinely kind, attentive, patient and gave us some great recommendations. The interior was very clean and sort of gave an upscale pub vibe. The patio looked really cozy, I'll be back soon to grab a table outside before it's too cold this year. I ordered the lemon chicken, which was very crunchy, but it did not taste like lemon at all. Instead, it was dominated by the flavor of Dijon mustard, so much so that the dish should have been called Dijon chicken. The menu did not mention Dijon at all. The green beans and potatoes were under-seasoned, and for hours afterward all I could taste was Dijon. Unfortunately, I do not like Dijon and was expecting a lemon-flavored dish. My husband ordered the hot honey pimiento chicken sandwich. The chicken itself was very crispy, but the sandwich had an excessive amount of pimiento a large glob in the middle, which made it messy to eat. He thought it was okay and said he might skip the pimiento next time. The fries were decent but could have been crispier. The staff were friendly, but the service was slow and not very attentive. When I walked in, the hostess was awesome and while she was retrieving the order, the rest of the staff made sure I was taken care of. We were greeted initially by the manager as our waitress was very busy serving a large party. We got our drinks and then waited for awhile to place our order. The front desk of our hotel raved about 101 Beer Kitchen so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, our meal was ruined by the appetizer. We started with the butternut squash pierogis, ordered extra crisp per recommendation of our waiter. Three handmade pierogis topped sautéed spinach and a light sauce. . We didn't realize immediately what it was, but something was really off. At first, we thought the black pieces on top of the pierogis were mushrooms. Actually, they were shallots burnt to a crisp. At this point we should have sent the whole app back but instead, we tried to pick them all out. We obviously didn't get them all. They were so burned that the flavor stayed with us throughout the meal, even after our drinks and entree were done. For the entree, we shared the pretzel covered chicken sandwich and subbed mac n cheese for the beer soup. Both were good but in dire need of seasoning. My husband enjoyed his beer and I really enjoyed the Harvest Moon made with tequila, blood orange and pomegranate juice. Our service was good and the environment pleasant.
