Raymond and Chad took great care of us and were both phenomenal!!! Amazing delicious food every last bite. Ordered the hand breaded chicken tenders with French fries and house made mash potatoes with country gravy!!! Normally I am not a fan of potatoes where the skin and all are included but let me say these were DELICIOUS!!!! The chicken was perfectly cooked to a golden brown and house made dipping sauces were delicious as well. the seating is beautiful wood seats throughout!! The restroom was clean and stocked. We like Charlestons and enjoy the atmosphere and food but today totally missed the target. My wife was going to get the beef vegetable soup and the server said it's a little spicy. She does not like spicy food so she changed her order to the potato soup. Then he proceeded to say why don't you try some and if you don't like it he would bring the potato soup. She said no but he insisted on I'll bring the vegetable soup to try. She wanted a cup of soup. I ordered chili off of the daily menu. He came back and said it's seasonal and they don't have it? Why put it on the daily menu? I ordered a bowl of potato soup. One of our friends ordered the Hawaiian steak medium well. He said they don't suggest well done as it will detract from the flavor? She reiterated medium well. Isn't the customer right? We ordered the honey croissants for the table as appetizers. Food came out quick as our friends entrees came out ahead of the rolls? Instead of a cup of soup they brought a bowl of beef vegetable. She tried it and said no she would like the potato instead. I tried my soup and it was barely warm. When he returned with the cup of potato I had her taste the soup and we sent both back to get heated. Our friends steak came out medium rare. It was charred on the outside a little but very pink inside. It had to be sent back. When the checks came my drink was on their bill? My sweet tea was good but the refill was regular not sweet? Clearly he was not listening. We will go back as it's normally very good but if this would have been our first time we would not be back. read more

Charleston's has been around for ages, and is a great place to go when relatives are visiting. Which is exactly what we did on a Saturday night. The booths are pretty small ... kind of a tight squeeze for 4 people. We were greeted quickly. The waiter brought our drinks quickly and then we ordered right away, some of us choosing old favorites like pasta RIGATONI BOLOGNESE, yummy CHICKEN PICCATA... i think my bro gets the same thing every week! Both my sis and I ordered a salad with chicken, pineapple, strawberry (1), and.... amazingly delicious figs ... it's my new favorite called WALTS CHAMPAGNE CHICKEN SALAD. Service was good until the refill coke was handed over the back of the booth, and never noticed that it spilled immediately. (Waiter was long gone as we cleaned up the little spills. ... oops) Prices are pricey but food is delicious. I don't go often because it's too rich for me without a special occasion. The location isn't bad; driving in from the east side it's got a weird way of entering the parking lot next to the bank. There aren't a lot of other places to eat nearby so this works for us! I love Charleston's! I appreciate their ambience. It's warm, friendly, and the staff makes you feel right at home. I ordered the ribs with a baked potato and broccoli (which was at special request since it's not listed on the menu) One thing about Charleston's is they are going to make sure if you arrived hungry, you will NOT be leaving hungry! Before coming here make sure you go to CostCo down the street and get the $100 gift cards for $79.99, a free 20% discount on your meal. My mom loves to come here. The ribs are excellent, but I decided to not get ribs this night. I had the $19 Reuben Sandwich. It was ok, not great, but not bad. We sat at the bar and there are a ton of townies here. The food here is better than a chain like Chilis, Applebee's, Olive Garden, but nothing fancy. Quick and friendly service. Solid place for a cheap meal. read more

I had came here for dinner which I had never been to this Charleston location and it had been a long time since I had been to a Charleston. While here I had sat at the bar. The bar tender was friendly and answered the questions that I had. I had got a peach Bellini drink and then chicken with the sweet potatoes which all really good. The food was made really good. It didn't disappoint at all. Service was quick here and I didn't have to wait a long time for my food to come out. The atmosphere was really great and quiet in here. Amanda has been an exceptional!! She works Sat, Sun and-Mon every week! Her service is beyond excellent with top notch quality at a luxurious designed bar which truly brings your pulse down to rejuvenate no matter the weather! I ordered a perfect margarita with a Caesar salad (oh the sweetened croissant delish) and not only did I place the order. Amanda took it to a whole other level just by asking if I desire fresh strawberries to be muddled served in a frosted martini cocktail glass. I ordered two but would stay longer. I need to be in and out and the service is more than 5 stars. The attention by all the staff to greet me and make me welcome goes above and beyond! On a Monday night the tables in the bar were filling up and everyone was so pleased with the service by Austin! I took it a step further and ordered dessert and when they said cheesecake, I didn't expect a grand piece 4 inches thick served with a blueberry coulis and lemon cello sauce. I can't wait to devour the dessert and more of the menu when I return on a girls night. This is an excellent option for a group of six at a table in the bar or seating for 15 at the bar. Although they couldn't seat us a one table, they were able to sit us at two tables across from each other. I usually get the fried catfish, but this time I opted for the gumbo and Chicken Club Salad. Charlestons is one of those places I often overlook. It sits next to a hotel and is across from Twin Peaks on 82nd St., at the intersection of I-69 and 465. I had a gift card, so figured I'd stop in one evening to have dinner. I was seated quickly and noticed that there's a fireplace inside that emits a lovely burning wood scent. That, along with the beautiful poinsettias and warm wood booths really adds to the cozy ambiance here. My friendly waitress Alicia attended to me quickly and took my order. Despite it being late (around 830p), there were quite a few occupied tables. I ordered the walleye fish blackened with vegetable blend and a side house salad. My salad arrived, accompanied by a delicious croissant with a drizzle of sweet butter. Shortly after, my dinner arrived. The fish was cooked perfectly, and it was such a large portion that I was able to take some home for lunch the next day! My friend and I decided to check out Charleston's for some food & yapping haha. I arrived a little after my friend and the hostess was so sweet & complimented me (extra points for her! Haha) but what was most impressive is she knew my name. Love that! Our server was excellent too. He was attentive but also gave us enough space to communicate without constant interruptions. It reminded me of your typical dine in restaurant. Nothing too fancy. Very chill environment. I had the Flirtini for a drink, it was basically a cosmo with champagne 8/10. The Creamy Spinach dip was the star of the show, it was so yummy & the fresh chips were the icing on top. I had the meatloaf paired with mashed potatoes & broccoli. Visited Charleston's for dinner recently with coworkers. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated at a large table that could accommodate our group. Then we were given menus and our drink requests were taken. Soon after, our coworkers arrived. Reviewing yelp, I noticed that people were raving over the bread pudding dessert, so I went ahead and requested that as an appetizer. For dinner, also because of yelp and its wonderful array of pictures (I eat with my eyes), I selected the fish sammich with a side of carmelized carrots. The coworker next to me requested the pork chops with asparagus. Soon after, my bread pudding arrived. And indeed, it was warm and delicious. It reminded me a little of butter cake, but it wasn't as sweet. I didn't eat all of it because I wanted to save room for dinner, but damn it was delicious! Then my fish sammich arrived. It had to baked fish filets on it and they were superb. The bun was notably good. I added some tartar sauce, but left off the lettuce. This was the best fish sammich I've ever had. Yum! My carmelized carrots were very sweet. They reminded me of sweet potatoes in taste and texture. I found them to be slightly too sweet because I love the natural taste of carrot. I was blown away by the great service!! As I approached the door, a staff member stepped up and opened the door for me. While waiting for my friend to arrive, I observed that this practice was the norm. Everyone was warmly welcomed prior to being seated. Our server, Zayiana immediately came to the table and provided exceptional service from start to finish. 3 stars. Overall it's a decent enough spot to cure your hunger. Very easy to have conversation. Music was good, too. It was my first visit and things didn't quite go as well as one might have liked. But I will say that the service AFTER the mishaps was impeccable. Despite the hiccups, I left nice tips on the strength that the staff was genuine and apologetic. Nyla and Noah embodied what good service should be. Those two will be my preferred servers when I return. Quite frankly, they are the reason I will return. The food wasn't my favorite but I was kinda irritated by then and I tried something I normally wouldn't have ordered, so there's that. Everything was kinda bland and needed a "healthy" shake of the salt. But the dessert was phenomenal! The key lime pie was very tasty. Not $12 tasty, tho. It's definitely overpriced. And the salsa.... OMG! It was so well balanced. I loved it more than the spin dip. I'll certainly return and try them again. Fingered crossed! read more

The hostesses and manager were also very positive. bar: I drank a Bulleit Rye Manhattan (served over ice in a rocks glass, $15.50 as of June 2025) and my wife drank a J. Lohr Cab Sav (6 oz. pour $12). I followed up with a Zombie Dust IPA ($9). food: My wife's pork carnitas tacos were very good ($16). My cheeseburger and fries ($17) were equally great. The service is friendly and it has a bit of an upscale feel while still being casual enough to pop in for dinner. This place was AMAZING we went yesterday and it was phenomenal. The ambience is great and reminds you of a brick oven place with red leather seats and whatever their cooking in the kitchen makes the whole place smell like smokes meat. Our waitress was super nice. I got the meatloaf and it was the best I ever had it's got a unique twist on it and the sauce taste like French onion soup and my husband had a tomato and chicken club. Charleston's is cozy, comfortable and casual. In and out quickly if you've got places to be after. Quick service, even quicker ticket times. Hands down, the best service staff in town. From the initial host greeting, to the attentive server and even the crew standing at the ready to bus the tables so they don't sit dirty long enough for anyone to notice. Just great. Our server even walked me to the bathroom when I asked where it was. That's luxury hotel standard! I don't usually see that in restaurants. The food? Always hits. Charleston's is one of those places that feels like home. I've been coming here with my family since I was a kid, and it's still just as good as it's always been. The food is so consistent--I've literally never had a bad meal here. EVER. The staff is always super kind, and the management clearly knows how to keep things running smoothly. And can we talk about the "immediate seating" neon light? I don't know how they do it, but even when the place is packed (and it usually is), we never have to wait for a table. I rarely ever make a reservation, but somehow, it always works out. Magic?? Now, let's get to the star of the show: the croissants. If you know, you know! They're buttery, flaky clouds of perfection, and I could honestly eat an entire basket by myself. They're an absolute must every time I'm here. Lately, I've been hooked on the baby back ribs, and wow--talk about fall off the bone. You wouldn't expect ribs this good from a place like Charleston's, but that's what makes them even better. We made reservations to eat at Charlestons on a Saturday night. We have not eaten here for years but it was cold and dreary and nearby We had no idea what to expect but when we got there the parking lot was full. We both thought how lucky we were to have reservations Upon entry we were immediately greeted but asked if seating in the bar was available We were immediately seated and a very professional wait staff member took our drink order. It took awhile to get the drinks but we understood why and were patient I ordered Chicken Parm and my husband ordered trout. The chicken parm was awesome. Two chicken breasts breaded with some parm cheese, pasta and tomato sauce on the side with a great house salad My husband's trout was grilled and also came with a salad. He said it was delicious. The bar area is warm and inviting. It was the perfect atmosphere for a cold winter night. We don't know why we weren't eating here but that has changed, for sure. read more

We ate at Indy locations restaurant had a vent above our table that had dust hanging from it. Rice had no flavor. Stuffed items had shells in it that we had to pick out while eating. Most seafood what little they had, was cold and no flavor. We went right at opening- assuming things would be hot and fresh. Far from. We actually got up and walked away from a plate full of food because the dirty restaurant. We paid 20.00 a person and got nothing worth that amount. Pudding cup had soggy cookie in it. Why did it take me so long to visit Charleston's again? All the construction at I-69 and 82nd St. is a challenge. The ambiance, delicious food, and attentive service is worth navigating the traffic cones and barricades. As you step inside the restaurant all the outside noise disappears. Brian, our server, was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the selections. He recommended the fried okra and my dining companion said it was the best! The fried catfish comes with cole slaw and a large serving of french fries. It was tasty. The only downside to this meal was that we had no room for dessert. read more

Well, all is well that ends well. I suppose it's like everything else. The catfish fillets have shrunk the three that they give you aren't worth $24 super small so that's it for me. Had another work lunch 12/2/24 at the Castleton location. I'm glad this was a treat because generally I find htem a lttle high priced, although I've only ever had very taty food. And, once again, nice service and tasty food. This time, I opted for the grilled fish sandwich, but still went with the side of carrots, which was large enough on both counts that I took half of each home. We ate here for celebration dinner on a random Saturday night. The overall experience was great, the staff was helpful and friendly. Despite the restaurant being packed, our waitress was awesome. Our food was excellent - definitely recommend the "shrimp-scargo" and Hawaiian Ribeye. Both were memorable. I also think that the Brussels sprouts were surprisingly good. If I had one complaint, it was that the dining room was really loud. May not be a great spot for a quiet date night dinner although the bar looked nice and cozy. There were lots of large tables and this is a good place to come for groups or perhaps a baby shower or graduation dinner. We would eat here again for sure. read more

I try to reserve 5 star ratings not necessarily for the fanciest places I eat, but for my favorites. Charleston's is now one of those. I've driven passed many times and finally decided to have a date night there, and it's now on our short list of places to go out to. The environment is somewhere between cozy and classy, the croissant rolls are absolutely delicious, and the food is fantastic.
