    BARBECUE BABY BACK RIBS

[[HIGHLIGHT]]As always the food, and ambiance were excellent![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is my go to place when I can't decide what to eat. Because they always have something delicious. Raymond was our server. He anticipated everything we wanted from appetizers, finger tip towels, and drink refills. He was excellent!

I love Charleston's! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I appreciate their ambience. It's warm, friendly, and the staff makes you feel right at home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the ribs with a baked potato and broccoli (which was at special request since it's not listed on the menu) One thing about Charleston's is they are going to make sure if you arrived hungry, you will NOT be leaving hungry! The portions are very generous! My meal arrived warm and ready for me to dig in! The ribs were savory and the meat fell right off the bone. My baked potato and broccoli were also delicious! If you haven't checked out Charleston's, what are you waiting for? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great food, amazing service, and wonderful atmosphere![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Before coming here make sure you go to CostCo down the street and get the $100 gift cards for $79.99, a free 20% discount on your meal. My mom loves to come here. The ribs are excellent, but I decided to not get ribs this night. I had the $19 Reuben Sandwich. It was ok, not great, but not bad. We sat at the bar and there are a ton of townies here. The food here is better than a chain like Chilis, Applebee's, Olive Garden, but nothing fancy. Quick and friendly service. Solid place for a cheap meal.

I had came here for dinner which I had never been to this Charleston location and it had been a long time since I had been to a Charleston. While here I had sat at the bar. The bar tender was friendly and answered the questions that I had. I had got a peach Bellini drink and then chicken with the sweet potatoes which all really good. The food was made really good. It didn't disappoint at all. Service was quick here and I didn't have to wait a long time for my food to come out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was really great and quiet in here. There were people in here but it wasn't loud and the vibe was a good one.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be back here again for the food soon.

The salmon salad is absolutely delicious. Always pair it with a yummy croissant. But on this evening I also tried a delicious Key Lime Pie martini. Um. Amazing. Food is always delicious here and now I know the drinks are too!

Charleston's is a nice casual dining restaurant that always delivers quality service and food. This visit was for a group of 9. Charleston's was great about accommodating us without a reservation. Although they couldn't seat us a one table, they were able to sit us at two tables across from each other. I usually get the fried catfish, but this time I opted for the gumbo and Chicken Club Salad. Both were very good. Everyone really liked their meals and the restaurant recommendation.

Perfect Margarita with fresh muddles strawberries

Amanda has been an exceptional!! She works Sat, Sun and-Mon every week! Her service is beyond excellent with top notch quality at a luxurious designed bar which truly brings your pulse down to rejuvenate no matter the weather! I ordered a perfect margarita with a Caesar salad (oh the sweetened croissant delish) and not only did I place the order. Amanda took it to a whole other level just by asking if I desire fresh strawberries to be muddled served in a frosted martini cocktail glass. I ordered two but would stay longer. I need to be in and out and the service is more than 5 stars. The attention by all the staff to greet me and make me welcome goes above and beyond! On a Monday night the tables in the bar were filling up and everyone was so pleased with the service by Austin! I took it a step further and ordered dessert and when they said cheesecake, I didn't expect a grand piece 4 inches thick served with a blueberry coulis and lemon cello sauce. I can't wait to devour the dessert and more of the menu when I return on a girls night. This[[HIGHLIGHT]] is an excellent option for a group of six at a table in the bar or seating for 15 at the bar. Not[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] sure if they can reserve those seats but it would be worth it when the service, staff and quality are reaching a tier worth stopping in for!!

Charlestons is one of those places I often overlook. It sits next to a hotel and is across from Twin Peaks on 82nd St., at the intersection of I-69 and 465. I had a gift card, so figured I'd stop in one evening to have dinner. I was seated quickly and noticed that there's a fireplace inside that emits a lovely burning wood scent. That, along with the beautiful poinsettias and warm wood booths really adds to the cozy ambiance here. My friendly waitress Alicia attended to me quickly and took my order. Despite it being late (around 830p), there were quite a few occupied tables. I ordered the walleye fish blackened with vegetable blend and a side house salad. My salad arrived, accompanied by a delicious croissant with a drizzle of sweet butter. Shortly after, my dinner arrived. The fish was cooked perfectly, and it was such a large portion that I was able to take some home for lunch the next day! The service was excellent...that combined with the warm, inviting atmosphere was perfect for a cold winter's eve dinner.

Charleston's offers a surprisingly elevated experience without the hefty price tag. The ambiance is classy, the service attentive, and the food? Absolutely satisfying. You're only spending slightly more than you would at a fast-food chain, but the difference in quality and atmosphere is night and day. Now let's talk about what stole my heart: THE FRENCH FRIES. Thin, crispy, golden perfection. I'm not exaggerating when I say they're some of the best I've ever had--light, crunchy, and completely addictive. If you're a fry lover like me, this place is a must. The only reason I'm holding back one star is because, as someone who's been vegan all my life, I would love to see more plant-based options on the menu. Currently, there are no vegan mains or desserts, so I had to rely on the fries (not complaining, but still!). That said, Charleston's delivers big flavor, a refined atmosphere, and unbeatable value. If they ever expand their menu with plant-based dishes, it's a five-star experience waiting to happen.

This place is ok. Not my favorite but it is my parent's favorite. The price point is a little higher for what you get. The portions were pretty large. I had the catfish and it was good. It also came with two sides that you can substitute out, for what you would like. Our server, Raymond, was really polite and pleasant to work with. They also have kids meal options.

We celebrated friend, Lori Tilstra's birthday at Charleston's on 82nd Street in Indy on August 29th. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar is awesome![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ralph and Lori both had the Pasta. Dave had the meatloaf and I had the baby back ribs. I took home lots of leftovers. We all really enjoyed our meals. Sorry no photos of the meals, I forget until we demolish the plate, lol

Charleston's Meatloaf & Barbeque Baby Back Ribs
    Jessica B.

My friend and I decided to check out Charleston's for some food & yapping haha. I arrived a little after my friend and the hostess was so sweet & complimented me (extra points for her! Haha) but what was most impressive is she knew my name. Love that! Our server was excellent too. He was attentive but also gave us enough space to communicate without constant interruptions. It reminded me of your typical dine in restaurant. Nothing too fancy. Very chill environment. I had the Flirtini for a drink, it was basically a cosmo with champagne 8/10. The Creamy Spinach dip was the star of the show, it was so yummy & the fresh chips were the icing on top. I had the meatloaf paired with mashed potatoes & broccoli. The meatloaf was good, my friend had the baby back ribs & I should've got those instead. The spinach dip alone is enough to make me return & I really enjoyed my drink.

    Bread pudding - delicious!

And only a half block walk from the Omni Hotel we were staying in! Food (5/5): Well, this place would not have lasted since 1902 if the food wasn't delicious. And it did not disappoint. We have been eating so much lately that we ordered an appetizer and main and the kitchen split everything in half. Bread: Delicious fresh made rolls of onion and pumpernickel. The best thing was the cheese lavosh crackers, which were hiding in the bottom - we almost missed them! They said they purchase the lavosh, then put garlic butter and cheese on them and bake them. Just wonderful! Shrimp cocktail - Of course we had to try this! The large shrimps were hiding under a mound of freshly grated horseradish and tomato paste to make a spicy, eye watering cocktail sauce. Iconic indeed! The main came with "bean soup" which sounded not great, but it was surprisingly good. It had chunks of ham and carrots and tasted more like split pea soup. The main also came with a side - we opted for the loaded baked potato and it was perfectly cooked. Nothing like a great baked potato with sour cream, cheese, and bacon! Filet mignon - We got the 8oz (medium rare) and the kitchen split it in half for us. I also got it Oscar Style, which included lump crab, asparagus, and béarnaise sauce (lovely butter sauce!) Service (5/5): David was an amazing server. Tux laden and professional to the core. The other servers did not let an empty plate sit on the table for more than a few seconds after we finished. I wish that every server was as kind and professional as David. Ambiance (5/5): 1920's crooners singing filled the dark wood intimate spaces. It's a classic steakhouse!

Okay, Harry & Izzy's has officially made it onto my list of FAVORITE restaurants!…read more I first came here in April while in Indianapolis for a conference, and I loved it so much that I had to come back during another trip. Let me tell you, the SECOND visit was somehow even better than the first! First, the service was absolutely TOP TIER. My coworker has celiac disease and cannot have gluten, and she was blown away by how many options she had to choose from. She said it was the most choices she's had on a restaurant menu in a LONG time! A manager even came to our table personally to verify her entire order and explained that she would personally deliver her food to make sure there was no cross-contamination. THAT level of care and attention was amazing and made her feel completely comfortable dining here. Our server, Derek, was fantastic! He was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and gave us excellent recommendations. Now THE FOOD!! I had the 16 oz. ribeye Oscar style with mashed potatoes, and it was SOOOO GOOD. The steak was tender, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. The mashed potatoes were delicious, and we also had the fried Brussels sprouts, I literally could not stop eating them. My coworker ordered the fresh Atlantic cod and fries from the gluten-free menu and said it was DELICIOUS. My other coworker had the penne Alfredo with chicken and said it was the BEST Alfredo she has EVER had! But the SHOWSTOPPER of the night?! The Woodford Reserve Bread Pudding. OH. MY. GOODNESS. The bread pudding was warm, soft, fresh, and full of flavor, the ice cream paired perfectly with it, and bourbon is ALWAYS a plus in my book! It was the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. The ambiance deserves a mention too, low lighting, beautiful atmosphere, and just an overall great evening-dinner vibe. After two visits, I can confidently say Harry & Izzy's is no longer just a restaurant I like in Indianapolis, it has genuinely become one of my favorite places to eat, PERIOD. The food, service, atmosphere, and especially the care they showed regarding my coworker's dietary needs were exceptional. SO GOOD. If you're in downtown Indianapolis, you HAVE to try this place. I'll absolutely be back for visit #3!

The main floor dining like a lunch vibe, but it turned out to be a cozy choice. For appetizers, we started with the cornbread after our focaccia was unfortunately not the best. Seemed to be over-proofed. The cornbread was absolutely phenomenal and a must-have! A special shoutout to our waitress, Arya, who noticed our disappointment with the focaccia and generously brought us the cornbread on the house. That kind of service is truly memorable! I also had the beets and peaches salad, which was refreshing but a tad overdressed. Still, I couldn't resist finishing the entire dish. For my main course, I ordered the lasagna, and I can confidently say it was one of the best I've ever had. It wasn't overloaded with cheese and instead complemented by mushrooms and pesto, and surprisingly light on the stomach. My husband chose the filet and rated it an 8/10, saying he thoroughly enjoyed it. We were so full by the end that we skipped dessert. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The only downside was the atmosphere; coming from Chicago, we expected a more bustling vibe on a Thursday night. It seems Indianapolis is a bit quieter during the week. Overall, we had a delightful dining experience, and hats off to Arya for her exceptional service!
