My friend and I needed last minute Halloween plans. After scouring Facebook events, we saw Mashcraft was having Halloween trivia. I haven't had the chance to dine here before, but drive past it often. Service was top notch from the moment we walked in. Our server was so friendly, welcoming and eager to ensure we had a wonderful time. The menu isn't huge, but they have a lot of unique items. The chicken sandwich I had was delicious, but it was a bit messy. My friend also enjoyed her burger which was the special of the month. We ordered the special drink from Halloween, and it was tasty. I did think $10 was a bit high for what was essentially a vodka and sprite. Trivia was also a blast. They had cute prizes for the holiday and we even ended up winning a gift card. Not bad for free trivia. The host did a great job and made everyone feel welcome. The pickleball court also looked fun if the weather was nicer. Can't wait to come back. read more

Nice atmosphere. They have lots of TVs so ideal for watching a game. They have a big beer selection but I didn't try any tonight. We had a couple of the burgers. Mine was dry and I would rate it average. I would return and try some of the other food. read more

Love this location. I'm always here for the monthly library bookclub and the staff is always friendly, on top of it and accommodating. The beers are great and I can never leave without getting me one of their pretzels. Their other food looks great I just have to convince my girlfriend to come out for a date night. read more

Today is the finals of the NCAA women's tournament. I looked up sports bars and Mashcraft popped up. That's where we headed. Even though we live hundreds of miles from Iowa, everyone I know is mesmerized by Kaitlyn Clark. We've all been waiting for this game. We walked into Mashcraft and one of the handful of TV's was set to a pregame show. (One was set to a western). We asked them to put on the game and we were asked "what game?" Everyone sitting at the bar looked at each other and said "THE game". Mashcraft was definitely not a sportswear today. It's a bar with some televisions. Well, they do have a pickleball court, maybe that now defines a sports bar? Many of the ratings raved about the tater tots. I thought they must be homemade - nope. Our waitress told us that they come in the same bag as those you and I buy at home. She said she didn't get the excitement. Since we were planning on drinking beer all afternoon , we thought the Mashcraft Fest Board might be fun. "A variety of sausages and cheese cubes...". The Mashcraft Fest Board is a $20 disappointment. That it was served in about 5 minutes should have clued me in. Someone opened a bag of precubed cheddar, sliced up a couple of links of grocery store sausage, threw on a handful of pretzel chips and at least saved the tray with a giant soft pretzel with housemade mustard. The soft pretzel was great, really great, but the lack of effort for the overall tray should embarrass anyone associated with the kitchen. Since we're in town for the eclipse, we opted to celebrate with the Sol Invictus, a Vienna lager that "tastes great while wearing eclipse glasses". It was good, not good enough for another mug though. We intended on staying here for the game but the vibe was just wrong. Finally decided to try this place out. Friendly staff! When you arrive, you seat yourself. My husband and I tried a beer flight, cheese curds, and the tater tots with the 3 sauces. I definitely like the Thai chili and their homemade garlic aioli sauce. I did not like the chipotle cream sauce, or the marinara with the cheese curds. I suggest honey mustard with the cheese curds, I am not a fan of marinara sauce. Our favorite from the beer flight was the Kolsch. (City Limits Kölsch -- Becher) and second favorite is the Spark of Summer Shandy w/Strawberries -- Becher. Staff was super! Cool wood decor inside. Was not too loud inside to have a conversation. Mashcraft is quickly becoming one of my favorite places on the north side of Indy. Their staff are some of the most down to Earth people around. Their kind, professional, and fun to have a conversation with. The same goes for their patrons. Simply good people who work hard and appreciate good beer. Mashcraft has a great selection of beers that they brew. I think they have some of the best IPAs around, but I'm honestly a fan of all of them. There is a lot to appreciate about their menu. It's simple, but well conceived. They cross utilize a lot of ingredients, which means they're always using fresh product. The dishes are executed to perfection and raise the bar for "bar food". Be prepared for excellent food at a great price. Mashcraft also offers craft beers, and my friends who drink love their selection and offerings. The staff is friendly and genuinely wants you to find food and drink that you will love. The two Pickleball courts on the restaurant's North side of the building are unique to this restaurant. If you are coming to play, service for food and beverages will require you to come into the bar and order there. They have ice water set out so that you can grab a free drink if you need it. If you want something more, it's available for the asking. Thanks to Bret L for helping me learn the ropes. The food is delicious, and the plating is simple but good. We've found that Friday meetings in the shade with a little Pickleball thrown in has been very productive and fun. read more

I'd been wanting to stop by Mashcraft in Fishers for quite some time, but I seem to always be in the area at off times. I drove by the opening of the new Shake Shack and decided it wasn't worth the hassle - so, I drove around a bit and finally made my way here. Mashcraft has 3 central Indiana locations - Greenwood, Fishers, and Indy. This location is in a strip center just south of 116th and Allisonville Road. There are a handful of other businesses in the strip center, though Mashcraft has the end spot and does offer a handful of outdoor tables. However, today it was raining. I was a little nervous about being in Hamilton County given I'm still being fairly cautious with the pandemic and the mask mandate does not still exist statewide (it does in Marion County, my home county). However, it seemed like precautions were pretty steady here and I felt fine being here despite it being a relatively small spot. This strip center is obviously older and not particularly wheelchair friendly. There are accessible spots completely at the other end of the building. There's a curb cut there. So, I had to park a decent ways away from Mashcraft. The entryway is a glass doorway entry. It's kind of heavy but workable. When I arrived today just after the lunch hour, everything was seat yourself. To the right of the entry are some taller tables, while there are some shorter tables directly by the entry that are basically of the half-booth variety. To the left, you have a combo of taller/shorter tables. The front half of Mashcraft is family friendly and a wall separates a bar that is 21+. In addition to serving their own brews, Mashcraft has a food partnership with 5280 Bistro. My server, Kennedy, stopped by fairly quickly and was attentive throughout my stay. I typically only drink one beer and have a meal - not exactly high maintenance. They pretty much have the spectrum in terms of types of beer - they are all brewed by Mashcraft (I believe). I don't recall seeing any guest beers. They offer a flight of four for $12 - 6 ounce pours. I ended up ordering a Jamaica Joe, a coffee-infused red ale made with coffee from Greenwood, Indiana's Strange Brew. The coffee gives the hint of caramel in the mix and I rather liked it. From the menu, I ordered a pub burger. It comes with chips, but I upgraded for tots for an extra buck. The pub burger serves up a six-ounce patty with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion on a Hawaiian Bun. I usually pick off some of the stuff, but I'll note it was definitely tasty and the tots were nicely done. I would easily order both items again, though I was tempted by the fish & chips. The menu overall is pretty standard bar fare. They had at least a couple widescreen televisions, though I'd be hard-pressed to call this a sports bar. The servers are all friendly that I could tell. I did think it was fairly noisy - mostly the acoustics just really echo the conversations. However, it wasn't overly distracting and I was able to do some reading while enjoying my meal. The meal came in just over $18 including the beer but not including tip. Overall, this was a solid experience. I tend to prefer quieter settings, but I enjoyed this and service was good. I enjoyed my beer and food. There are two strip buildings right here and they both have accessibility issues - this building is the better of the two because the curb cut is better. However, it's ridiculous to only have a curb cut at one end of the building. That's not Mashcraft's fault, of course, but it's still a concern. I'd easily return, though I also want to try the Indy location on Delaware in the near future. read more

Mashcraft is a great place for either a hangout with friends or a fun date night. The atmosphere is very hometown pub feel, but it is very clean and friendly, and their menu is excellent, both food and drink. Great beer selection and the quality of the beer was solid too. Food as pretty darn good too--had the chicken burger and it was juicy and flavorful. My server was very friendly and accommodating as well. You could tell he took pride in the place. Room for improvement: Atmosphere was a little lacking/pretty quiet and subdued. Granted I was there on a Monday night, but great breweries often have a nice dull roar of happy talkative patrons. Prices were a little higher than I expected as well. Mash craft beer has always been one office favorites in the area. We typically go to the downtown location but wanted to change it up so we checked out the one in Fishers. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff (I think Bret was our bartender). They have shuffleboard for free and lots of TVs. They also have a much larger menu at this location. What a fun easy dinner! Mashcraft impressed me with their wonderful service. This bar isn't doing anything new, it's a classic great beer spot with some good food. However, their fun staff and trivia hosts really make it a fun night out. Lots of free parking and I recommend the burger. The meat was cooked very nice. I also had their fried chicken sandwich, which was very crispy. Their cider selection could be a little bigger, but I loved their seasonal apple! We stopped in at MashCraft for after dinner drinks and really enjoyed our visit. We sat at the bar but observed several families enjoying themselves in the dining area. The vibe is relaxed, the music and big screen tvs are great, the bartenders/servers are friendly and fun, and the beers we had were delicious! We ordered a flight along with a Callisto (apricot wheat wine) and an Ace Pumpkin (pumpkin cider w/ allspice, cinnamon & clove). All were great, but the Callisto was my favorite! From the outside, it doesn't look like much so we were admittedly a bit skeptical but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and helpful in making suggestions and we enjoyed everything we had (both appetizers and drinks!) they have two nice looking pickle ball courts outside which we didn't use, but want to return to try out! MashCraft is officially in our rotation of breweries/restaurants! I don't know how it's taken us this long to visit this location, but it's great! We sat at the bar knowing we were going to do flights and an appetizer. We asked if they did flights, which the bartender told us we could choose any 4 beers off their menu to make a flight. They didn't tell us how much it would be, but ultimately our flights ended up being about $15 per flight. That's a tad higher than most places, however each tasting is larger than most breweries. We also ordered the cheese curds, which were some of the best around! The cheese was gooey inside but the outside had a nice crispy crust. I'd highly recommend getting them with ranch instead of the marinara they come with. Overall the staff was attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back! read more

After attempting to go to a couple other places to watch the Euro championship, we needed up here. It was awesome. They were very accommodating. Turned the game on most of the TVs, turned the volume on in the entire bar. They were very customer services oriented, which was great. The beers very good and they have a large food menu. We got the chicken wings which were crispy and sauced to perfection. Try the Thai-chili. My buddy got a burger that looked awesome. Really good food for a little brewery in a strip mall. The atmosphere is nice and the music is great. Very chill vibes and a nice spot to meet up with friends. They even have trivia nights which I thought was cute. The beer was tasty and you can buy any of their mugs. I only docked a star because when I think of hand cut fries I think of thin and not steak fry like. The cheese curds were amazing. Not greasy at all. Same with the fried pickles. The marinara is served cold which I prefer. The garlic aioli for the pickles was super tasty. Not overpowering at all. The tater tots were great and cooked to perfection. The pretzel bites I wish were taken out a minute sooner because they were more like crouton texture but still good. The chicken sandwich was amazing. Would definitely order that again. I waited to review this brewpub until I'd tried the food. I'm glad I did. The atmosphere here is very good. I like the layout and the multiple areas of seating, including outside tables, which is a little unusual for a garden variety strip mall location. The beer is good. Rarely great, although getting better. But good. And very good quality control. You get the same pour whether you're at this location, downtown or Greenwood. I tried the BBQ, Bacon and Bleu Cheese burger with tots. A+. Very good. Somehow it's very flavorful without having toppings spilling out all over the place. The service is always excellent as well. If you're up this way and want an alternative to Four Day Ray (which I find to be kind of a loud mess, with too many kids and somewhat mediocre beer), Blind Owl (nice place, but again, mediocre beer) or Bier Brewery (good beer, but a kind of small place and no food), I'd recommend MashCraft. They do a trivia night periodically, and I know the folks drinking at the bar are friendly. From where I was sitting they sounded like they were having a heck of a good time. read more
