Had a book club meeting here, and it had been a minute since I had visited, it was an all around great time! I was able to grab a table right away on the bar side. Our server was great! Really on top of it, personable, all while rocking a boot! I enjoyed a flight of their in house beers, all were very tasty! I also had an espresso martini, which was very good, and for my main course, I had the big Bob burger! So savory and hit the spot! Check out this place if you can!

If I had to sum up my experience it was - okay. Service was fine, kind of impersonal but everything we ordered was correct and came out timely so I can't complain. The food itself was also okay, I got the mushroom and Swiss burger. Food was hot and we didn't wait ages for it to come out but wasn't really anything to write home about. Fries could have used a little seasoning, they were crispy but a good seasoning would have made them memorable. The beer was good, no complaints there. I think I'd come back for a beer out on the patio maybe some food but this first experience didn't knock it out of the park for me.

8.13.25 pineapple salmon. tbh, not super pretty, but it was a #yum #ReviewsByRL

8.13.25 it's been a little over a year (!) since I've been here. Came back again with 4 other coworkers. I had the pineapple salmon and veggies. The sauce over the fish is honestly not super appetizing-looking, but it was well cooked and tasty. For apps our table got the pretzles with cheese and the chicken nachos. It was, again, a #yum. #ReviewsByRL

I recently hosted a resident event here & was impressed with the level of service I received. I was able to get in touch with their events coordinator who was very responsive & answered any of my questions professionally. We were expecting anywhere from 25-30 people. Our event started at 6:00pm & when I arrived at 5:45p they were prepared for our big party. We reserved the bar area which had dim lighting & there were TV's in the bar to catch a game. I would say the food was just okay. Not bad but nothing to write home about. We had wings and pizza for our guests. The wings were okay but I was not a fan of the buffalo sauce or ranch. The ranch tastes like dill ranch which I'm not a huge fan of. The pizza got cold because they didn't have any warmers to keep it warm after they sat it out, which was a little disappointing. Overall, we had a great time! Our waitress Jessica did an awesome job of controlling our large party and getting things we needed diligently. I would go again but maybe order different food or stick to the drinks.

Quick drop in for a growler fill, timed the visit to find a large and crowd friendly space, served by energetic staff, I can see good reason to be back for more. There's a lot on the menus. I sampled a couple ales but the Schwartz beer really spoke to me, smooth and vibrant brew. Very tasty!

We were a group of 7 and sat outside. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. The service was very slow, I'm not sure if it was because we were outside and they forgot about us. The food and beer overall was good. Nothing really stood out. I think I need to come back again and try it inside.

After all of the order hassle (over an hour), it was STILL wrong and they packed so much heavy stuff on top they crushed the tacos. ‍

We've been coming to BOB for years. The food is great. I give them that. This evening, however, was an absolute customer service disaster. My wife ordered over the phone for pick-up, as we usually do. When she gets there, she was told there was no order. Ok, so she placed the order again and she was given a "puck" and waited. Puck went off. She gave it to the person at the counter and they disappeared into the back. The person then came back out and ignored/did not even acknowledge my wife or our order. My wife asked the manager what the status was and was told "the person must have hit the wrong button, I'll go check on the order". No apology. No acknowledgement. After all was said and done, they STILL managed to get the order wrong and managed to crush the tacos. Blind Owl Brewery used to be a go-to place for us. Unfortunately, not anymore.

Exceptional service from a male server. He was so nice and accommodating. This was my first time at this bar excellent ambiance. We watched the game and had a great time.

CubanOwl they take on a Cuban sandwich, it was the best we have had outside of Florida.

There is a parking lot across the street to the west as well as one to the north of the house it appeared. When we walked in, there was a room to the left that was hosting a private event, a cavernous room to the right with a huge TV screen, a load of tables as well as kids running around, and then straight ahead was the main space with various-sized tables, couches, and barrels for hi-tops in addition to separate spaces to order drinks from their bar and food from their kitchen. If you know what you're doing, it's probably best to order your food first since there will be a wait and then get in line for your drinks. Place was pretty busy on a Saturday at 5:00 as most of the tables were taken, but we were able to take our drinks and the number we received from the kitchen to claim one of the few remaining. If you have kids with you, they had various board game activities around to pass the time. For food, we tried the Pretzel ($8) which came with beer cheese and what seemed like a horseradish mustard. Pretzel was good and we liked both dipping options. We also ordered the Dip Trio ($17), which included their three dips (pimento cheese, creamy spinach, hummus) along with pita bread, veggies (carrots, peppers, celery), and tortilla chips for dipping. It was a full tray of food and probably more than we anticipated. We enjoyed everything. Lastly, we split the Portobello Sandwich and substituted fries for the side ($14). The sandwich was messy, but extremely tasty. The fries were OK, essentially breaded in texture which isn't my favorite and probably wouldn't order again. For drinks, my wife went with an Ash & Elm cider option they had. I was excited by their multiple stout options so I ordered a flight. I did their Winner's Milk Jug Stout, Nitro Winner's Milk Jug Stout, Mexican Hot Chocolate Imperial and Barrel Series: Imperial Milk Stout #21. Their 2 Milk Jug options were little too coffee-esque for my liking. The Hot Chocolate had a fun spicy taste, but the absolute winner was the Barrel Series as it had amazing flavor. Beyond the confusion coming in figuring out the process, the only other peculiar thing was that it seemed they wanted you to bus your own table. Considering we placed our order at each counter and paid tips for each when we did so, that seemed a little out of place. We don't live close, but would definitely be interested in returning if in the area again. Would probably order a little less food next time.

The Brussels sprouts are an absolute triumph: perfectly blistered with a caramelized exterior and tender interior, dressed in a harmonious balance of bright acidity and savory depth. Little crunchy bits and a subtle smoky char add texture, while a finishing sprinkle (and a hint of something sweet-salty) elevates them from simple side to a show-stealer. The Korean salmon is equally impressive. The fish arrives flaky and moist with a richly glazed crust that carries sweet, spicy, and umami notes in perfect proportion. Layers of flavor -- gochujang-forward heat, sesame brightness, and a touch of citrus -- play against the salmon's natural richness without overpowering it. It's plated thoughtfully, with complementary sides that keep each bite balanced. If you're at Big Lug Canteen, don't pass up those two dishes -- they demonstrate skilled technique, bold yet nuanced seasoning, and a real sense of care in the kitchen. I will cut some slack on the service, however - I arrives after what seems to have been a very atypical rush of Journey fans who inundated the place before heading to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The staff seemed a bit rundown and slap happy - not really attentive to the bar where I sat. I waited a bit long before I was greeted with a menu, waited awhile with an empty glass, waited with my food pushed away before it was cleared. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.
