I have passed this place a million times and by the name, not sure what I thought but when I finally stopped in I now understand the concept. I didn't catch the part where it is Chicken Salad. I thought they served just different kind of chicken, but in fact, they serve different type of chicken SALAD. AHHHH, got it. I do love a good chicken salad, so I was super interested. So it allows you to pick the kind of chicken salad you want, what kind of bread and what kind of chips. Neat. They also allow you to sample so you don't make the wrong choice which I liked. I sampled 3 before I landed on the one I wanted. The staff seem to understand there are first-timers like me that come in often so they were very patient. Im from Atlanta and throwing a 90th birthday party for my mom in Anderson, IN. I was excited to see there's a Chicken Salad Chick in Fishers. I placed a catering order at the Fishers location. It was ready when I arrived however when I saw the amount I thought I needed a couple more sides. Viala (I hope I spelled her name correctly) said they could get that ready for me in minutes. And she did. I was able to walk out with 4 extra sides within 10 minutes. What struck me was how warm and service oriented Viala is. Decorated like a grandmas place in an 80s sitcom. You order at the counter and they call your name when it's ready and/or bring it to your table. I ordered it to go, so they called my name. I went in kind of late so it was pretty dead. Seems like it's more of a lunch place versus dinner. They have numerous versions of chicken salad. I opted for two different kinds and a cup of soup. The tortilla soup was pretty average. Nothing special but it was good. The Dixie chicken salad (the only one with onions) didn't have as strong an onion flavor as I wanted, but it was real good. Olivia's old south chicken salad tasted a lot like the kind my mom used to make. The scoop came with crackers. The sandwich came with lettuce and tomato. Overall I like this place. I have had some inconsistency in food but overall I still rate it as 4. It is NOT fine dining but the food is always tasty. The worst for me is finding a place to sit, which is a sign of how much many people really like it. It's a little pricy for 'fast food' but it is a step above typical other fast food. My fav is the chicken salad loaded with grapes, cranberries and nuts on a crescent role. Flavors burst in your mouth and I look forward to each bit. As far as value goes, a sandwich from CSC is completely worth it. For around $8 you get a sandwich, pickle spear, and little cookie. The chicken salad is better than average but not as good as I would expect from a place specifically specializing in chicken salad. The little cookie was delicious. August 8, 2022- first visit and, like many others, I have wanted to try a chicken salad restaurant for a while. RRR doesn't care for mayonnaise salad and he's my usual dining out companion. I'm on my own today so...hurray! I orders The Chick, kind of a you- pick- two, so I could try several types. They give you many choices including all of the chicken salads, sides, as sandwiches or scoops. You must stand in line to order and the line was slow so I had plenty of time to make up my mind. Here are my choices: Traditional- Classic Carol and Fruity Nutty- Fancy Nancy, both as scoops. This comes with several packages of tasty crackers and a little iced cookie. I also got a sweet tea. The scoops were a good size and both salads were very good. The Fancy Nancy wasn't as sweet as expected but the grapes and apples helped. The Classic was as expected and very tasty. WHEN I return (ha!) I'll only get one scoop and work my way through the menu! RRR said he might like the Turkey Club or Turkey Pesto sandwich. The sweet tea is... sweet (who knew? ) but I was raised in the south and liked it. 4 stars for a slow line. read more

My wife and I live a half mile from the Fishers CSC store. We generally like the food and it's reasonably priced. The pick up process for online (app) ordering is extremely frustrating. And literally keeps us from going there more often. The whole point of online ordering is to be able to order ahead, dash in, grab your food, and head home. Most places (Panera, McAlisters, Sweetgreen, Cava) facilitate that by putting the completed orders where customers can self grab them. This CSC store used to do that, until a couple months ago. The bags are now secreted away behind the counter where only staff can access them. Not sure why they've done that, can't imagine theft is an issue, but ok. That's not the problem. The problem is mgmt hasn't trained their staff to ask people standing off to side (clearly not in line to order) "what's the name on the order?" The staff taking orders never look over to assist in the pickup process. The two people doing the expo (putting orders on trays, or in bags) likewise never turn around to see if folks picking up are waiting. It's almost comical. I just picked up. Two expos had run out of space for the pickup orders. They kept realigning the 12 bags, but never thought to turn around, look over at the six or eight customers standing a few feet away waiting for their orders. And it never occurred to them they'd have more room, if they started handing the completed orders to waiting customers!!!! After waiting about 5 - 10 minutes we had to interrupt them. Please either make the pickup process self serve, or train the staff to look for and serve the pickup customers (I.e., when you see people standing there ask them the name on the order). I pick up from McAlister a lot. When someone walks in, looks at the orders on the self pickup shelf and doesn't see their order, staff immediately asks "what's the name on the order" and looks where it's at in the queue. They get it. A huge segment of fast casual is online ordering. McAlister's has trained their staff well. Please up your game CSC. Thank you. But wait - there's more. When my wife got home an hour later and pulled her order out from the fridge . . . we realized they got her order wrong (and yes, we crossed checked the order on both the app and the printed out ticket). They gave her loaded baked potato soup (which is now in the trash because she doesn't care for it) instead of the broccoli cheese soup I ordered. Deep. Sigh. read more

Sadly everything was just bland, had to add salt and pepper to the eggsalad to make it better... too bad I didn't notice the shakers before I finished the Sassy Scotty. I was very intrigued when I saw this place pop up in Fishers. Mostly, I wanted to know the telling question, do they put fruit in their chicken salad or not? My first time in one of these restaurants. This one is located in Fishers District. It's new so it's clean and modern looking. You order it at counter so you pay without tip. I got carry out, But I didn't see a tip jar. They also have pre packaged chicken salad. I ordered spicy pimento cheese sandwich on white bread. While the parking can be a problem in Fishers at The Yard, I found a close spot. The potato soup is a creamy blend with chunks of potato with nice flavor. I have tried CSC at another location and I thought it was fairly good. It was super hot today so I decided to give this location near my home a try. I ordered a salad (ranch, extra cucumber) with a scoop of chicken salad and a side of fresh fruit. I placed my order online. When I arrived I told the cashier my name and she started looking at pick-up orders. She didn't find mine and didn't say anything else to me, just started helping the next customer. I had a seat and waited a few minutes and then a gentleman that was cleaning came over and packed up my order. I got home and opened my salad to disappointment. It was literally all lettuce/spinach and a scoop of chicken salad. It had two cherry tomatoes. No cucumber or anything else that it gives you the option to add or remove when you order online. The scoop of chicken salad was pretty small as well, at least compared to the piles of lettuce. The fruit cup was also not even all the way full. The online pictures are definitely deceiving.
