HUGE tenders of all levels of spice/ heat (except the two hottest ones)
    Kandice T.

I attended the recent Yelp Elite Event at Joella's Hot Chicken and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful their original chicken is. You almost always hear about that other chicken place (the one that's closed on Sunday) and how they hold the spot for most juicy and flavorful, but I'm thinking that they have some serious competition in Joella's. I'm not a big fried chicken eater, but I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor/juiciness/crispiness ratio. Their chicken is well- balanced in that manner. The portion sizes were insane as well. Loved the fried pickles too, which I normally would not have tried. The manager was super nice and made us all feel very welcomed. Her team took great care of us. The location is very bright and welcoming as well. Unfortunately, one side of our booth seat had a leak directly over it. It was pretty noticeable, but wasn't marked or labeled to warn folks not to sit there.

Ordered the big sandwich with coleslaw on top. The flavor was good, but I literally almost broke my tooth a few times because each bite was a bone! Small ones, big ones, just too many. I even broke off a piece of my sandwich to give to my son since his meal had one small tender, and it hurt his braces. Couldn't enjoy any of it because I was scared I may choke on a bone sadly to say....

Chicken strips and fried pickles. Dug in and realized I needed to take a picture.

We have eaten at this location over 20 times over several years. The store is always clean, the counter staff is always polite, professional and efficient. Food is always properly prepared and hot when it arrives. The Alabama sauce is off of the menu but if you ask, they have it. Other locations often don't, so kudos to the Westfield manager. Glad they have Coke products. I wish they had for warmer weather is covered outside seating. We look for shady outside seating and frequent those restaurants. Umbrellas seldom work for everyone. Also wish they had a path from the sidewalk to the restaurant for easier access for bicycles.

Wow, I'm so impressed. I was in the area and looking for something quick to grab and take home. I love that the spice levels and sauce is customizable. I got two chicken sandwiches and two sides. The chicken sandwiches were SO juicy and the flavor was *chef's kiss*. I did medium heat but I definitely could have ordered a spice level or two higher. It only took 2-3 mins to get my order. I can't wait to try more items from the menu!

    Big Pimento - Undercooked chicken.

Ordered tenders and big pimento sandwich. The sandwich had undercooked chicken and some completely raw spots.

This was a huge let down. I used to get lots of DoorDash orders here so I figured I'd try it out. The chicken tenders are extremely mid, there's no crunch they're just super soggy. Chicken was tough too. Their fries are good but that's about it. Not worth $15. Absolute waste

Loved the big portion. Great for sharing with family or friends. Amazing sides. The Mac and Cheese is perfect! Crispy tenders. Great sauce selection. They also have fun soda drinks!

We were craving some fried chicken and decided to stop at Joella's hot chicken in Carmel. They're a walk in restaurant only, they do not offer a drive-through. However, it is well worth your time. The service was good and prompt. The food came out, hot, tender, and juicy. It was a big win with my family.

Wanted to try this place for a while. We got the food to go so no feedback on inside. Chicken sandwich was just okay, wasn't a great flavor.

Chicken thighs and Mac and cheese!

I was craving fried chicken and I found this place was a Yelp favorite and I can see why. I ordered their fried chicken plate and had coleslaw and mac and cheese for the sides. I enjoyed everything on my plate but the mac and cheese was the standout. There were many heat / spicy options for the chicken and I chose one that was less spicy but I may turn up the heat a little on the next visit as mine could have definitely had a bit more spice. Great fried chicken and I will be heading back soon!

I've been to Joella's in Broad Ripple many times, but never the Carmel location. I had a great experience, including quality service and food. They were very speedy. We ordered and received our food in under 10 minutes. The facility was very clean. I highly recommend the lunch special. You get jumbo tenders, a dipping sauce, a side, and a drink for $8. Everything I've tried off the menu has been delicious. Never disappointed with the experience at Joella's!

I have had Joella's on my list to try for a while. I just happens to be in the area and just happened to be hungry so I thought, why not? Their menu is straight and to the point but still has variety. I got the chicken sandwich with Ella's fav sauce. The sauce was AMAZING and the chicken was cooked to perfection. I want to go back just to try their different sauces. I think what would've made my sandwich better was if I got all of the toppings on it like coleslaw and onions. I think their fries were pretty good. I love a crispy fry. I think some sort of seasoning on the fries would've made them even better. We ordered inside and got it to-go. It was pretty quick. I would say it took 10 minutes max but maybe a little less. I'm a chick-fil-a sandwich girl through and through but I really enjoyed this sandwich from Joella's. So I think next time I am craving a chicken sandwich, I'll stop here again.

My husband really loves Joella's chicken! They are limited on vegetarian options, they have a vegan chicken that's pretty tasty. They have the best sides, their Parm Garlic Fries are definitely one of my favorites. They make your food fresh to order, so there is a little wait. If you order via their website, you are in and out for takeout with no wait. I like the restaurant. It's always clean, people are friendly and service is good.

    Patient waiting for our meal

Muldoon's ended up being exactly what we were hoping for. The covered patio was comfortable, welcoming, and surprisingly peaceful despite being right downtown. Our server kept the drinks coming while we caught up, and the atmosphere made it easy to lose track of time. The real MVP of the afternoon, though, was my friend's tiny pup. She became the unofficial patio greeter, with a steady stream of people stopping by to say hello, ask to pet her, and strike up conversations. Before we knew it, we'd spent hours chatting with each other and a handful of friendly strangers. Sometimes the best restaurant memories aren't about one unforgettable meal--they're about finding a place where you're happy to linger. Muldoon's absolutely delivered that kind of afternoon. If you're in Carmel with your dog (or just looking for a great patio to unwind), I'd happily recommend giving this spot a try.

The BBQ poutine fries were so big on the tray that I felt a little ostentatious as I was carrying the tray back to my table. It felt like all of the food on my tray surely should have been going to a family. But no: All of these BBQ poutine fries were just for one gluttonous person (me). Every so often, I would get an enormous fry that was way bigger than the others. It was more like a steak fry! It was like a little baked potato. It was nice to have that variety in the appetizer (which I was treating like an entree because, again, I was eating this giant appetizer by myself without shame). One of my children opted to get the kids meal here, which is the mac & cheese with a side (he chose fries). The mac & cheese is cavatappi pasta, so it's that pleasing curly texture that kids love (my kid loved it). The Den by FoxGardin is located inside Sun King Food Hall, and it's one of the food options you have here. If you are looking for pub food, comfort food, or just plain good food, you can't go wrong with this place.

We had the crab cakes and crab & artichoke dip for apps and our lunch entrees were the fried catfish sandwich with fries and the filet with mashed potatoes and collard greens. For bevvies, we tried their rosé and red zeppelin English ale. All of it, every bit and bite, was 10/10. Food breakdown: - Crab cakes: succulent lump crap meat within a lightly battered and flash fried coating. They come on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and dipping sauce for the cakes. Super yummy! - Crab & artichoke dip: ooey gooey deliciousness, perfect balance of cheese sauce too. You don't have to search for the crab or artichokes. And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch. We have been living in Carmel for 5 years and this is one of the best restaurants here. If you're on the fence about trying this place, jump off and make a reservation. You won't regret it.

The pimento cheese dip was fine; closer to a nacho cheese dip. Both dips came with too few naan dippers to finish the dip (they charged extra for extra naan to finish the dip). - The cajun pasta was fine. Pasta was cooked well. I got it with chicken, which tasted good. The sauce was fine. - The hot honey chicken tenders were crispy, but lacked flavor. - The CBR chicken sandwich was good. Crispy and good size. - Do not order the side mac n cheese. $6 for some Stouffer's mac n cheese topped with the pimento cheese dip (that's basically nacho cheese dip). Overall, if someone asked to meet here for a meal I would request another restaurant but I'd still eat here if they insisted.

It came with 11 meatballs and my wife commented you needed to eat the meatballs down the middle of the sub first before you could eat it as a sub. There were a lot of meatballs and it also came with same overcooked chips. I'm not sure what the draw is for this place. Maybe it's the pizza. We sat in a booth with tattered seats and a wobbly table and we loved it!! We ordered breadsticks, a Cuban sandwich, wings and fries. Before I describe the food, I have to write about the way they deliver the food. I saw one of the staff bring out this boat of food wrapped in white paper to a table near us and thought that was an order of a specific type that warranted such a delivery. When I asked our waitress about it she smiled and said that was how she was going to bring out our food. It's a little thing but we thought it was unique and just added to the feel of the place. A few minutes later we received our food in a white paper boat and it was awesome. The breadsticks were good; the nacho cheese wasn't the best. The coleslaw was a hit with my wife and son. The Cuban sandwich was really good. The chicken wings were outstanding! The wings are smoked and meaty...and the blue cheese dressing that came with it was delicious. The waitress told us that they make the blue cheese in house and I believe her. The fries were tasty- our waitress was right in saying that a small order would feed a family. We did our best but there was no way we were finishing anything. The portions are large.;) All in all, we had a great meal in a unique place with really friendly staff. Thanks, Fat Dan's!!!

We loved our visit to 101 Craft Kitchen. We stopped in for Happy Hour (4-6 pm) before going to a…read moresporting event. The restaurant is upscale, lovely and romantic. We sat at a high top table in the bar. Our server, Bailey (the bartender), was friendly and super attentive. She made recommendations and kept glasses filled. The craft beer selection is excellent with about 16 local options on tap. My husband had a Fall City "Hipster Repellent". The name alone is interesting, but he loved his beer. I had the Espresso Martini which came with roasted coffee beans floating on top. My cocktail went down easy. I also had a glass of the Berringer Chardonnay. The pour is generous. We shared a plate of Loaded Tots, which was wonderful. The tots are made from scratch in-house and covered with roasted bits of pork belly, cheese, a sauce and green onions. We LOVED the tots, which came out super hot. We also shared a plate of the Loaded Hummus. The plate is beautiful and colorful. The hummus is fresh made and loaded with bits of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and is delicious on a balsamic reduction. The hummus is served with a generous portion of fresh in-house made focaccia bread which tasted amazing. The Loaded Hummus is a winner in my book. Bailey our server was fabulous. She worked the entire bar and was an ambassador of the chef and menu. I wish we had time to stay for dinner because the food is outstanding. Each dish that we saw pass by looked delicious and artistic. I highly recommend. We will be returning for dinner soon. Easy 5 stars! We found street parking, but parking was limited.

We've ordered from here quite a few times for delivery. I really enjoyed the lemon chicken dinner…read more What we mostly order is their kids meals. We watch our calories and so kids meals work best. You get a protein and choice of two sides. We get green beans and fruit. And it also comes with a cookie. The food is pretty good. It does not always come the same and what I mean by that is sometimes the green beans will have no seasoning at all and then sometimes they will. Of course I prefer the seasoning but if none, I just quickly season them myself. I do hope to visit soon and eat inside the restaurant and will leave another review.
