Great tasting food, fast and efficient service, cute atmosphere with a nice seating area. It is cash only but they do have an atm.

We went here with my 83 year old Mom Saturday evening and everything was wonderful! I will tell you this place has lots of large parties and I mean large! They had two going at the same time so be prepared this might happen. After 3pm everything is all you can eat. They bring so much we never ask for refills and that's perfect because you can take it home as long as you get no refills. We are from the Deep South so we know good food and this will not disappoint! I am so particular about meatloaf and theirs is delicious. The pot roast fork tender and full of flavor. Fried chicken delicious. You get 4 family sized bowls of sides and we picked mashed potatoes and gravy, cabbage, collard greens, and mac and cheese. While I liked the Mac n cheese I wish that it was more creamy but that didn't stop me from eating it. They are cash only and do have an ATM machine. As I was paying and couldn't possibly eat another bite I saw pecan pie behind the counter. That's my favorite pie! Next time! You won't go anywhere else and get this quality of food that includes a drink and all you can eat for a better price. It was about $20-23 per person.

Family style soul food

Food is consistently delicious. Restaurant allows for larger groups. The family style meals give an opportunity to share the flavors! They only take cash!

Ribs, fried chicken, cabbage, mac and cheese, greens, and yams.

The food was delicious. However we ordered extra fried chicken and 2nd plate had an overcooked chicken breast on it. The ribs were fall off the bone and BBQ sauce was great. We ordered mac and cheese, collard greens, yams, and braised cabbage for side dishes. All sides were good (especially macaroni and cheese). The only thing that disappointed my husband who paid for the meal is that once you order extra meat they will tell you that you can't take home any unfinished food.

Fried pork chops with sweet potatoes and green beans. I got my other 2 sides to go.

This restaurant is cash only. They do have an ATM onsite. It's ideal for large groups since their meals are served family style. The meals are hearty and come with 4 side options and fresh tomatoes, sliced onions and 2 little fried corn bread patties. Since the Saturday special is fried pork chops, I gave them a try and was not disappointed. My other two sides were Mac' n Cheese and collard greens (which I got 'to go.' One pork chop was so filling, I had to get my second pork chop 'to go' as well. (Another entire meal.) Service was quick & efficient. My order was filled correctly (I didn't want the onions.)

We moved out this way almost 2 years ago and haven't really found any good food until TODAY‼ If you have not been to Mississippi Belle Soul Food Restaurant...... RUN This restaurant is very clean and has some absolutely delicious food. Jesus has great customer service when we walked in the door he was extremely polite. Our hostess Kisha did a very good job and made sure we were satisfied with our food. She made some great recommendations on what we should order since it was our first visit. Everything we ordered was banging and the Sweet Potato Pie & Salted Carmel Cake was the bomb dot com. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for some good soul food. It's hard to compare Chicago food with Indianapolis food but Mississippi Belle is a HIT‼ #friedchicken #smotheredchicken #sweetpotatoes #friedcorncasserloe #Greens #cabbage #ribs #mashedpotatoes #sweetpotatopie #saltedcaramelcake

Yummy corn cakes with onions and tomatoes.

This week my food and server were amazing. I don't like being rushed when paying for my meal. Doesn't matter if there is a line forming or not, complete the awesome service at the check out window as well. It diminishes the comforting experience and feeling I had while enjoying my meal. Thank you.

The food here is good. Very good. Down home and hits many of the notes you would expect for 'good' soul food. But not perfect. Not exactly like Grandma's. I ordered the fried chicken white had 2 3 piece servings; collard greens; macaroni and cheese; fried cabbage; baked beans; sweet tea. Ordered a slice of lemon cake. The best parts: Meal includes a drink Meal is all you can eat with 4 sides Also they have southern desserts! Chess pie sweet potato pie The service was great Place was clean and the other diners were quiet and minded their business. The could be better parts: It is cash only Need to offer pepper sauce for the greens and cabbage The food is seasoned but could be seasoned differently. To make the food for everyone it seemed like it is under seasoned. I need some paprika or Mrs Dash or something. But as is better than 90% of the so called soul food I have had all over the country. Sweet tea was sweet but they should have used simple sugar syrup. The baked beans tasted like they relied on a ketchup base and not bbq sauce- I didn't care for it. The Lemon cake was moist but more yellow than lemony. Should be lemony.

Fried fish, fried cabbage, sweet potatoes, hot water cornbread.

Stopped in with my best friend for lunch before going down the street to look at cars. First CASH Only so plan ahead. We walked in and was greeted immediately, ask if take out or eat in. We sat down and was ask about drink as soon as we sat down. Drinks came then ordered food which came out super quick. Pretty sure the food was made ahead, but it doesn't matter because it tasted wonderful. I mean seriously I bet this place is packed during main meal times. This is basically a bunch of tables and chairs. I will gladly come back here again, I am hoping for Friday's because they have catfish nuggets. And I hope to try dessert next time as well.

That's actually why I feel compelled to say something - during my visit, I saw an adult man berate a young hostess over the wait time. No one deserves to be spoken to that way, especially not a teenager doing their job in a high-pressure environment. Unfortunately, I've seen this kind of behavior more than once at restaurants, and it needs to stop. If you're frustrated, taking it out on staff is not ok. A little patience and basic respect go a long way. As someone who used to work as a hostess, I know how stressful those moments can be, and I really appreciated how gracefully the team at Juniper on Main handled everything. They deserve a lot of credit. Highly recommend this place, not just for the great food, but for the hardworking, kind staff who keep things running. If you are someone that can't control your temper and you take it out on unsuspecting people, you should order in. Your frustration doesn't give you the right to behave so awful.

We had the crab cakes and crab & artichoke dip for apps and our lunch entrees were the fried catfish sandwich with fries and the filet with mashed potatoes and collard greens. For bevvies, we tried their rosé and red zeppelin English ale. All of it, every bit and bite, was 10/10. Food breakdown: - Crab cakes: succulent lump crap meat within a lightly battered and flash fried coating. They come on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and dipping sauce for the cakes. Super yummy! - Crab & artichoke dip: ooey gooey deliciousness, perfect balance of cheese sauce too. You don't have to search for the crab or artichokes. And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch. We have been living in Carmel for 5 years and this is one of the best restaurants here. If you're on the fence about trying this place, jump off and make a reservation. You won't regret it.

First and foremost the medium is no joke HOT. Anyone can make something hot. But the flavor of the hotness is world class. Whatever they do, (brine whatever) the flavor is deep in the meat, including the breast. Absolutely fantastic. My only advice is if you find a raw jalapeno to hot, go one level down in spice. Unless you can set an eat raw Serranos, don't pay .$50 to go spicier. Who would have thought, amazing hot chicken, Indy.

It honestly hurt to see all that chicken go directly into the garbage, but they claim it was inedible. Since it's not a saucy type of flavoring, but a dry rub, they said that the heat was painful, and not flavorful. Back to the sandwich I enjoyed... I felt that there was a sweetness to the flavor that I liked, which I could see not everyone enjoying. There is also a hot dusting over the french fries which exacerbates any discomfort people are having from the heat. There really wasn't anything to cool it down. The macaroni and cheese was piping hot, although not spicy.

For entrées, the table covered a solid range of the menu. The shrimp and grits, ordered by two in our party, stood out with rich, comforting flavors and a well executed balance of seasoning and texture. The wings brought a satisfying bite with just the right amount of crisp, while the burnt ends with fries leaned into bold, hearty flavors that didn't disappoint. The grilled chicken Caesar salad offered a lighter option but still delivered with fresh ingredients and solid execution. What truly elevated the evening, though, was the service. Skye, our waitress, was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging. She kept everything flowing seamlessly for a larger group, which is no small feat. The overall atmosphere struck a great balance between upscale and approachable, making it an easy choice for both casual dinners and group outings. Bottom line, a well rounded dining experience with strong food, standout service, and an inviting environment. I'd absolutely recommend Conner's Kitchen + Bar and wouldn't hesitate to return.
