We visited Slim Chickens for the first time on a day when they were giving away a free chicken tender meal, complete with fries and drink. We had been wanting to try this restaurant and this definitely got us in the door. We commend them for offering such a wonderful deal for their customers. The place was absolutely packed. We were impressed with how fast they served the food. It was hot and fresh! Service was outstanding! We looked at the menu and the prices appear reasonable and fair in today's market. They have a wide variety of options for sauce to go with your chicken. They have both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The atmosphere is fast food casual. Given that they were extremely busy, about 90% capacity, they did an excellent job of keeping the tables bussed and cleaned. Customers had to wait only a slight bit in order to find a table. All employees were working very hard, from the cooks to the order counter to the food runners to the individuals cleaning the tables. The chicken tenders were good. Better than those you would find at a fast food restaurant that does not specialize in chicken. We will definitely return even if there is not a promotion. read more

Have eaten here several times with a mediocre experience. On 5/11/26 placed order and didn't receive an item (chicken and waffle) I spoke to the manager and was assured the next time I came in they would make it right and I had been placed on the "managers list". I went back on 7/19/26 and asked for the meal originally ordered. The manager , Ben, told me they had no record of their error and insinuated I was making up the first encounter. I had went here to try this place out and let me say I was not disappointed at all. The chicken tenders were delicious and they allowed you to pick a dipping sauce. They had many dipping sauce options. Customer service was great they had answered any questions that I had. I had got a strawberry cheesecake jar and it was delicious. This Slim Chicken just opened today in Westfield, where there is an abundance of fast food chicken places that entice Grand Park visitors. There was an abundance of new friendly staff on hand for the grand opening. They were working through a few issues with the heat system and the manager apologized and checked on us a couple times. I was glad to see a salad option. The Southern Fried Chicken salad is ok, but not very imaginative. There is an abundance of romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, carrots, a few cukes, fried onions, a pepper and processed croutons. The chicken can be broiled or fried. Choice of dressing included a couple vinaigrettes which I found overly sweet. The Crispy Fried Chicken sandwich is very good, moist and tasty. The brioche bun is great. The music is a little loud and twangy. The dinning room is otherwise comfortable. There are a number of TVs playing football games. There is patio seating as well, with more TVs. There is a drive thru and an app for ordering ahead. Food is prepared fresh so there is about a 5 minute wait. There is self serve on Coke products in the dining room. There is a kids menu, but I didn't see any kid entertainment. So bottom line, great 5 star service, 3 star salad, 4+ star on sandwich. read more

Stopped here to grab a quick lunch! Ordered quickly through the drive through. The wait for my food felt a little long but I didn't mind as I know they cook everything to order. I ordered the Cayenne Ranch Chicken Sandwich and Potato Salad. The Chicken Sandwich had great flavor and a nice crunch! The crispy fried onions add a great element to the sandwich. The Potato Salad was non traditional but was a ranch and bacon flavor. The texture was creamy and the flavor was different but tasty! Overall, I enjoyed my food and will be back again. read more

I really wanted to be wowed by the food, as it had come well recommended. Sadly, I was not. Neither was my kiddo. The tenders are pretty small and thin. Not tasty. I ordered 3 chicken sandwiches and although the looked good, the patties are awkwardly thick in the middle and unfortunately, they were not cooked all the way thru. We didn't eat Amy of the sandwich for safety reasons and I did let the restaurant know so they can correct whatever the problem may be. The positive here is the Sauces. This place seriously has the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. It is fantastic, perfect sauce, Well seasoned chicken and sandwich built just how you'd want it. Also the fried mushrooms are delicious, juicy and fried well. We have never had a bad meal here and definitely will be back. read more

Another score for the Slims! Cayenne Ranch Chicken Sandwich again goes right to the top for my all-time favorite farm bird sandwich, I do not understand it either! How does an under ten buck cluck handheld clutch the dub over all others ice sampled? Maybe the easy app order and inside experience, fun atmosphere, great outside patio, and friendly staff does it. But I'm guessing the massive slab of juicy chicken shaken in any delightful option of sauces takes the cake, rich and thick smothered in gooey spicy ranch, the brioche bun holds it together for half the meal. I'm hoping to see gluten free options very soon here. They need dairy free, coconut or soy shakes too because the strawberry shake goes wild every time. Tip: double check your order before leaving. Slim chickens is new to the Westfield area and this weekend seemed to be the time everyone wanted to try them. I ordered online and it was seamless. The problem was that the restaurant this weekend couldn't keep up with the demand. My order time said 30 minutes. By the time I received my order it was 1 hr! And when I got my order it wasn't correct! Lastly we ordered a raspberry tea which by the time I filled my cup to leave with my order, they were very low and it resulted in 3/4 cup full of tea. Once home we were able to try the food. The chicken is tasty on its own. I had a cayenne ranch chicken sandwich that was tossed inferno sauce. It's spicy and lived up to its name. The cayenne ranch and fried onion strings were a nice touch. My husband had the chicken club sandwich tossed in hot. He had no complaints on that. His side was a large Mac n cheese which was creamy and delicious. My daughter had fried tenders tossed in buffalo with mac and cheese. She never got the dipping sauce for our order. We also added an order of fried pickles with sriracha garlic. The pickles were crisp and didn't have too much batter. The food is a solid 4 stars and the service is 2 stars which is where my review stats come to 3 stars. I hope they work the bugs out and get more efficient and accurate with their orders. Arrived in town late and had limited options other than the standard fast food establishments. Slim Chickens was open and I thought a better option than Canes. I liked that they have a larger selection of sides, other than fries but the chicken wasn't much to speak of, not when the bun is larger than the chicken patty. Service was reasonable, another Yelper mentioned no one was at the counter when he came in and I found the same but it gave me time to look over the menu. Fried pickles were ok, dining area was clean, but it was just me. Strawberry cheesecake in a jar was good, expensive for the size, but you get to keep the glass jar. Just tried Slim Chickens for the first time. I ordered a "Classic Meal", (4 chicken tenders, fries, and toast) with the "slim sauce", potato salad, and macaroni and cheese. The food was good, not great. The attendant who was working the drive-thru was very pleasant and attentive, letting me know that my food was being prepared fresh. Have visited this new spot a few times already via drive thru. Everything is delicious and served hot so far, as far as chicken options. Chick sandwiches are incredible and imho put Chick-fil-A to shame. Equally friendly service too. High school kids mainly in the evening. Fried okra is bomb with the spicy ranch. Fried pickles were great. Potato salad is good for fast food. Mac was ok but nothing to write home about. Jar desserts for me had too much whipped frosting that is way overly sweet but doable. Wish they had better drink options like a freestyle machine. Oh salad was also great as well as chicken and waffle. They are getting slower and slower by the week to get food out of the kitchen. There isn't a big menu, mainly chicken tenders, which shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes to cook. Drive thru customers get priority over ordering via the app. I like their food, but their service is absolutely brutal. Got a pick up order today and I ordered the side of fried pickles. Opened them and was very disappointed, they were soggy and not cooked well. Definitely don't recommend the pickle chips or make sure they cooked well. Very little breading. Never had an issue with them until now.
