Cayenne Ranch Chicken Sandwich Meal subbed Fries for Potato Salad
    Elle J.

Stopped here to grab a quick lunch! Ordered quickly through the drive through. The wait for my food felt a little long but I didn't mind as I know they cook everything to order. I ordered the Cayenne Ranch Chicken Sandwich and Potato Salad. The Chicken Sandwich had great flavor and a nice crunch! The crispy fried onions add a great element to the sandwich. The Potato Salad was non traditional but was a ranch and bacon flavor. The texture was creamy and the flavor was different but tasty! Overall, I enjoyed my food and will be back again.

This Slim Chicken just opened today in Westfield, where there is an abundance of fast food chicken places that entice Grand Park visitors. There was an abundance of new friendly staff on hand for the grand opening. They were working through a few issues with the heat system and the manager apologized and checked on us a couple times. I was glad to see a salad option. The Southern Fried Chicken salad is ok, but not very imaginative. There is an abundance of romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, carrots, a few cukes, fried onions, a pepper and processed croutons. The chicken can be broiled or fried. Choice of dressing included a couple vinaigrettes which I found overly sweet. The Crispy Fried Chicken sandwich is very good, moist and tasty. The brioche bun is great. The music is a little loud and twangy. The dinning room is otherwise comfortable. There are a number of TVs playing football games. There is patio seating as well, with more TVs. There is a drive thru and an app for ordering ahead. Food is prepared fresh so there is about a 5 minute wait. There is self serve on Coke products in the dining room. There is a kids menu, but I didn't see any kid entertainment. So bottom line, great 5 star service, 3 star salad, 4+ star on sandwich.

Another score for the Slims! Cayenne Ranch Chicken Sandwich again goes right to the top for my all-time favorite farm bird sandwich, I do not understand it either! How does an under ten buck cluck handheld clutch the dub over all others ice sampled? Maybe the easy app order and inside experience, fun atmosphere, great outside patio, and friendly staff does it. But I'm guessing the massive slab of juicy chicken shaken in any delightful option of sauces takes the cake, rich and thick smothered in gooey spicy ranch, the brioche bun holds it together for half the meal. I'm hoping to see gluten free options very soon here. They need dairy free, coconut or soy shakes too because the strawberry shake goes wild every time. I sacrifice my digestive systems frequently for Slims and no regrets.

I had a couple local beers and ordered the Indiana Pork Tenderloin Sandwich with Fries. They were both delicious. The pork tenderloin was piping hot, lightly breaded and had a good crunch on the outside and tender meat inside. The fries were perfectly seasoned. It was very lively for a Monday night and all the TV's had sports on. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and got to try 2 local beers that I had not had before.

Beautiful space. Warm feel. Exactly what the evening called for. Our server Jill M was the real story. She greeted us warmly, asked if we had questions about the menu, and when we mentioned my wife has Celiac Disease, she didn't flinch. She walked us through every option carefully and honestly. That kind of attentiveness is rare, and it mattered. Here's the honest part: the kitchen uses a shared fryer, which limits options significantly for anyone with gluten sensitivity or food allergies. My wife made it work, but the choices were thin. For a restaurant at this level, I'd love to see that change. Food allergies aren't going away, and guests who want to celebrate special occasions deserve more than a gluten-free bun as their only path forward. The food was genuinely delicious. Drinks never ran dry. Jill was never far. We all left saying it was a great meal. Four stars, and I mean it. Jill earns five on her own. I'd go back without hesitation. I'd just hope the kitchen catches up to what the front of house already delivers.

I've been looking for a simple buffalo chicken sandwich. You used to be able to find these everywhere- just a simple chicken breast tossed in buffalo sauce. I saw a few things that were similar on the menu, but nothing quite suited my craving. I asked the waitress if they had a basic buffalo chicken sandwich, and she recommended something from the menu called "the boss". I took her recommendation and ordered "the boss" with chicken, pepperjack cheese, and tossed in hot sauce. It took a while for my food to come out, but when it did, I was impressed. My sandwich and fries were both piping hot and freshly made. The sandwich was much larger than I expected- almost like a big tenderloin. The sandwich was not tossed in the buffalo sauce as I had ordered, but there was a fair amount of hot sauce on top of it. The chicken was excellent- very big and juicy. The breading had the perfect amount of crispness. I was very happy with the taste. I would go back for this again, but maybe try during their "off hours". Dinner always seems jam-packed.

So, I decided to take my dear son to Gringtinos to eat some empanadas, because this Latin-ish restaurant has several different varieties on the menu. We sat down, looked at the menu, and my son wanted a cheeseburger, instead. Oh, kids! You gotta love them, right? (Right?) Luckily, Gringtinos has a kids menu that includes a cheeseburger, as well as a quesadilla and boneless wings. My son said that the cheeseburger was the best that he's had in a long time, so there you go. If you want a great kids' cheeseburger, visit Gringtinos. I was there for empanadas, so I got us a few: barbacoa, chicken, ground filet and street corn. We loved all of them, but the ground filet was probably our favorite (it was basically ground beef). We also ordered the yucca fries, which are served with white queso. They were like regular potato fries, but more earthy and dense. One order can feed two or three people -- they're very filling, with an interesting texture. I'm glad I ordered them. The service was OK, but we had to ask for plates, even though the server saw us dripping empanada juice all over our napkins. (It's like, hello! Yes, plates would be good. Bring us plates.) I'm also not a fan of servers not writing down my order, and instead, trying to memorize everything I say. I'm not impressed! It makes me stressed! Please, for the love of everything that's holy, just write down my order. It's truly OK to write things down. I promise. The construction around Gringtinos is murder, but don't fret. Honestly, half the fun was watching plates go by and trying to guess what everyone ordered. lol Jess was our waitress and she was amazing from the moment we sat down! Friendly, attentive, and just the right amount of checking in. I kicked things off with a lemon drop (10/10 choice), and we ordered the dynamite shrimp appetizer, which lived up to its name. Delicious with a little kick. Then came the big decision: shrimp scampi or chicken parm. The mashed potatoes tipped the scales because the craving was real. Chicken parm was crispy, flavorful, and absolutely hit the spot. And yes, the mashed potatoes delivered. No regrets. But I WILL be back for that shrimp scampi because now I need to know! Also... the portions? Generous. Prepare for leftovers or prepare to loosen your pants a notch. We were told we HAD to try the honey butter croissants, and wow... the hype is real. Light, buttery, melt in your mouth goodness. We showed serious self control by ordering just one. During lunch we also met Maddie, another server, and ended up chatting about food and her menu favorites like we'd known her forever. Love when a place feels welcoming like that! For dessert we were hoping for the brownie (RIP to that menu item apparently), so we went with the warm chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream, which was still a win. Then the manager, Rachel, stopped by to introduce herself and after hearing it was our first time, surprised us with cheesecake on the house. Safe to say they know how to make a first impression! Between the food, the service, and the cozy vibe, this place made us feel like regulars already. Charleston's, we'll definitely be back!

Then we headed to the restaurant for lunch. We sat at the bar, of course. Allison, the bartender and our server, did an outstanding job. She was friendly, attentive, made suggestions and prepared a fabulous Whiskey Sour. My drink was made either Luxardo cherries. This as the best Whiskey Sour that I've ever had. The lunch menu is slightly different than the dinner menu. I would describe the menu as very upscale bar food. There is a drink menu that was featuring daily specials for the holidays. My husband had their hand breaded tenderloin. The tenderloin was double stacked with perfectly breaded and seasoned tenderloin. He said it the best tenderloin he has had in Hamilton County and among the best in the state. The fries were crispy and good. I had the in-house prepared Broccoli Cheddar soup. There was no doubt that the soup was fresh made. The soup was creamy with gooey cheese. The broccoli was sour fresh. The bowl was huge. I also ordered a small wedge salad, which turned out to be huge. The salad was covered generously with bacon, blue cheese and grape tomatoes. We explored the event center, which was spacious. The outdoor patio was inviting, even on a freezing day. There is plenty of parking in their dedicated lot. Accessible spaces are available near the entrance. West Fork puts Westfield on the map. We were up this way for another Yelp event and decided to give them a try. Wow why haven't we been…read morehere sooner. I really wish they had a location on the south side. Upon entering I noticed how cute the decor was and how open it was. The kitchen is even behind glass so you can see most of it from your table. This place would be awesome for groups. The servers wear whatever makes them comfortable and fits their style which is a nice touch to the theme. But where the home runs were was the food. We had a hard time deciding on an appetizer as they all sounded so good. We went with the wagyu pigs in a blanket. They are cooked perfectly and seasoned well and juicy. I got the chicken katsu sandwich on Japanese milk bread and o my gosh it was so flavorful and I like anything else you can find around. The breading is light and not overly crunchy. I still think about that sandwich. Hubby ordered the short ribs and he said they were flavorful and tender and juicy. I can't express how amazing the food is here. You just have to give it a try. It's worth it.
