Great staff and service! The three meat combo was fantastic and priced well! The bbq sauces were all great and I enjoyed the gold so much I bought a bottle.

This bbq food was amazing!! The sides were delicious too and there was plenty of seating inside and outside. I substituted a meat and they messed up my order but had no problem switching it back out quick for me and were very kind! Great chain for good bbq food!

Have you tried the pork belly? This is a must. I love it ! 10/10 My comfort protein meal is always gonna be here. This location is good. Never too crowded for me (dinner most of the time - weekday)

I've been here several times and it's usually decent. The food comes quickly and it is ok. This visit the greens were a a little off. Just really salty like they had been there awhile. The brisket is good as is the pulled pork. The sausage is decent too. Sometimes the brisket is a little loose. The service is counter style and you take your tray to a seat. I find the service friendly and efficient. They restaurant is clean sometimes the sauce station is a little un tidy.

I was craving barbecue and decided to stop at City Barbeque. I ordered the party pack for 4 to 6 people and a brisket sandwich to go. They had my order up in about five minutes and I was out the door. Overall, it was a great experience.

The greeter is very pleasant and very helpful too The menu has everything you could ask for at a bar b q chain. Service is quick and efficient. The brisket sandwich was a good proportion and quite flavorful. I'm not a fan of how the brisket is basically chopped not sliced. The Mac and cheese is good but not great. Just lacks some flavor.

City Barbeque is always a great dining experience. Friendly service at the Carmel location, great food and a nice and casual ambience. Tonight's trip included a full rack of ribs & the juiciest turkey sandwich I've ever had!! And we got great 1999-era pricing on their special anniversary day menu (9/25/24). Definitely will get that turkey again, it was delicious!!

We really enjoy coming here following the smoked brisket. A big shout out to Austin who is always so good to us when we come in.

I decided I was in the mood for City BBQ for dinner tonight because I have always enjoyed the food from City BBQ. As always, it did not disappoint me at all. I ordered the pulled Chicken with Provolone cheese, no bun, with a side of potato salad and hush puppies. It was excellent and my perfect comfort food for the evening. City BBQ provides excellent BBQ and sauces, plus they know how to prepare barbecue to perfection! Their customer service is always on point and they treat everyone that comes through the door with kindness and care. This is my #1 go to place for barbecue whenever I am in the mood for BBQ for dinner because it is just prepared with such love and generosity to your taste buds. You will never go wrong with City Barbecue, so go out and get some BBQ from them one night for dinner. It is worth it!

I can't believe that I haven't reviewed City Barbecue yet, as I stop by here on a fairly regular basis. Prior to COVID, I had dined inside but during COVID I have taken advantage of their excellent curbside carry out. Service is always great and the food is excellent. City BBQ is perfect whether I am picking up a quick lunch for myself or ordering for a large group. My favorite lunch order is the three sides plate. Their sides are all so delicious that I have trouble deciding which ones to choose. Home style potato salad, green beans, corn casserole, slaw, and many more all taste like they came out of my grandmother's kitchen. The French fries are served hot and fresh and are some of my favorite fries. Try dipping them in BBQ sauce.

If you love barbecue? This is the place to be and lots of room to sit! The ribs and pull pork (2 meats) is what I ordered. It comes with two sides. I comes with a ranch like bread, buttered and grilled....nice, very nice! My two sides were corn bread and green beans and bacon...did I say, "BACON!" Dang!!! This is yummy-licious!!! Barbecue sauces are original or sweet and spicy. I had the original. It had a slight kick and tangy. It's a place to be!!! I definitely will bring my Hawaiian friends! I'm in heaven... The inside ambiance was so friendly. No waiters.,.order and sit down. Oh?! I've been here for a week. This Hawaiian girl is checking out the best places to eat!!! Aloha, everyone!

The food did not taste fresh. The barbecue chicken and brisket were so dry like they were sitting out. Not good. The sides were fine.

The BBQ poutine fries were so big on the tray that I felt a little ostentatious as I was carrying the tray back to my table. It felt like all of the food on my tray surely should have been going to a family. But no: All of these BBQ poutine fries were just for one gluttonous person (me). Every so often, I would get an enormous fry that was way bigger than the others. It was more like a steak fry! It was like a little baked potato. It was nice to have that variety in the appetizer (which I was treating like an entree because, again, I was eating this giant appetizer by myself without shame). One of my children opted to get the kids meal here, which is the mac & cheese with a side (he chose fries). The mac & cheese is cavatappi pasta, so it's that pleasing curly texture that kids love (my kid loved it). We sat at a high top table in the bar. Our server, Bailey (the bartender), was friendly and super attentive. She made recommendations and kept glasses filled. The craft beer selection is excellent with about 16 local options on tap. My husband had a Fall City "Hipster Repellent". The name alone is interesting, but he loved his beer. I had the Espresso Martini which came with roasted coffee beans floating on top. My cocktail went down easy. I also had a glass of the Berringer Chardonnay. The pour is generous. We shared a plate of Loaded Tots, which was wonderful. The tots are made from scratch in-house and covered with roasted bits of pork belly, cheese, a sauce and green onions. We LOVED the tots, which came out super hot. We also shared a plate of the Loaded Hummus. The plate is beautiful and colorful. The hummus is fresh made and loaded with bits of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and is delicious on a balsamic reduction. The hummus is served with a generous portion of fresh in-house made focaccia bread which tasted amazing. The Loaded Hummus is a winner in my book. Bailey our server was fabulous. She worked the entire bar and was an ambassador of the chef and menu. I wish we had time to stay for dinner because the food is outstanding. Each dish that we saw pass by looked delicious and artistic. I highly recommend. We will be returning for dinner soon. Easy 5 stars! We found street parking, but parking was limited.

Allow me to back up to our arrival. It was a nice day out, a little warm, but the patio is shaded. We asked if we could sit outside, as there were no other guests seated there at the time and the interior seemed rather dark and drab. Shortly after we were seated, my husband went inside to use the facilities and overheard the hostess telling our server that there was a table outside. She responded with a disappointed sounding "OUTSIDE?!" He returned to the table and told me about this as we reviewed the menu and specials while enjoying the little bucket of popcorn that they provide to each table, free of charge. The server, and her trainee, did take a while to come to our table, but she had a great attitude when they did. There was another server with a trainee shadowing him. They are also hiring, for anyone interested. We chose a peach margarita pitcher for $15. It was advertised on the sidewalk chalkboard like a special, but that is the regular menu price. It was the world's tiniest pitcher, but we still didn't finish it, so I guess it was perfectly-sized for the price. We also ordered potato skins as an appetizer. They were a bit stingy with the cheese, but extremely generous with the green onions. They were cooked well. Crispy skin with a fluffy, pillowy, potato inside. My husband, feeling more snacky than actually hungry, ordered two appetizers as his meal. He had the mini corndogs (very crunchy and delicious) and the onion rings. He said that everything hit the spot. The beer-battered fish came with two HUGE filets. They came to the table hot and crisp, but by the time I got them home, the beer-batter had gotten a bit soggy and grease-soaked. The side salad had huge chunks of iceberg lettuce (barely chopped) and some of the pieces were a bit brown around the edges. Sitting on the patio was nice and although there were several bees in the vicinity, the real flowers in the planter boxes surrounding the patio kept them distracted. After we ordered, several more patrons arrived and requested seating outside as well. There was a country playlist going and at least one of the songs had some pretty colorful language. As I heard the "MF" bomb drop for the second time, I looked around at the families with children sitting nearby. They appeared to be unphased. We noticed a dog bowl with "Roots" on it, so I'm guessing that they are pet-friendly. Eventually, I do want to return and try some of their burgers out.
